UAE Named Top Destination for MENA Content Creators

UAE Moments11 hours ago
A new report reveals that the UAE is the number one choice for content creators in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), with many praising the Gulf region for driving change—especially in tourism and entertainment.
According to the second edition of the InfluAnswer Arabia report by Weber Shandwick MENAT, 77% of surveyed content creators believe that GCC countries are setting the pace when it comes to positive regional development. The study reflects growing confidence in how the Gulf is shaping the influencer space and wider industry trends.
UAE tops the list, followed by Saudi Arabia and Lebanon
When asked which country stands out the most in terms of innovation and influence, 45% of creators chose the UAE. Saudi Arabia came in second with 26%, while Lebanon followed with 10%.
The findings reflect a shift in perception, with influencers now seeing the UAE and its neighbors not just as markets—but as creative hubs setting new standards across tourism, entertainment, and digital content.
Influencers see growing opportunities in the GCC
The report captures how creators in the region view the evolving landscape of influencer marketing. Many are drawn to the Gulf's fast-paced development, government support for digital growth, and increasing investment in events, travel experiences, and entertainment platforms.
As the GCC continues to position itself as a hotspot for creators, the UAE remains firmly in the spotlight—not just for its infrastructure, but for how it supports content creation as a serious profession.
What this means for brands and audiences
With creators now aligning more closely with Gulf-based opportunities, brands in the region are likely to benefit from more localized and high-quality content. For audiences, this could mean more relevant, engaging, and culturally in-tune content across platforms.
The message is clear: the GCC is no longer just catching up—it's leading the way.

Dubai Airports, Al Jalila Foundation host guided travel simulation for children with autism spectrum disorder

Dubai Airports hosted a guided travel simulation at Dubai International Airport (DXB) for children with autism spectrum disorder enrolled in the Ta'alouf Programme, run by Al Jalila Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dubai Health. The initiative aimed to build confidence and ease travel readiness for children and their families. Launched 13 years ago, the Ta'alouf Programme equips families and educators of people of determination with the skills to address children's behavioural, psychological and educational needs. It supports the integration of individuals with conditions such as autism, Down syndrome and developmental delays into society by transforming challenges into opportunities for growth. The experience was held in partnership with oneDXB community members, caregivers, volunteers and airport staff, in line with the UAE Year of the Community and Dubai Airports' ongoing efforts to enhance inclusivity. Majed Al Joker, Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Airports, said the initiative demonstrated the power of collaboration and the importance of empathy in delivering accessible travel experiences. 'Accessibility goes beyond infrastructure. It's about meeting individual needs with care and understanding,' he said. Amer Al Zarooni, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, thanked Dubai Airports for supporting families of people of determination. He noted that the initiative aligns with the UAE's national policy to empower people of determination and reflects DXB's commitment to inclusive travel. The simulation offered children a calm, structured environment supported by trained Guest Experience Ambassadors. Participants navigated key airport touchpoints—from check-in and passport control to boarding gates—at their own pace, reducing anxiety and building familiarity. This initiative is part of Dubai Airports' wider strategy to enhance accessibility for all. Through its We All Meet the World Differently campaign, the airport continues to implement inclusive practices and employee training to support travellers with both visible and invisible challenges. Dubai International Airport is the first international airport globally to receive the Certified Autism Center designation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), underscoring Dubai's leadership in inclusive travel.

Flydubai breaks ground on new Aircraft Maintenance Centre at Dubai South

flydubai has broken ground on its new Aircraft Maintenance Centre at Dubai South. The multimillion dollar facility, set to complete construction in the last quarter of 2026, will ensure an increased level of control and quicker maintenance turnaround for the carrier's growing fleet. Spread over 32,600 square metres, the maintenance centre will house an aircraft hangar, support workshops and office buildings. The construction of the Aircraft Maintenance Centre underscores flydubai's dedication to strengthening its inhouse capabilities and reflects the carrier's growing maturity as it expands its fleet and network. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by a senior delegation led by Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, who joined Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, as well as representatives from the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH). Al Zaffin said, 'This facility reinforces our commitment to supporting the aviation sector through state-of-the-art infrastructure and to further positioning Dubai as a leading global hub for aviation.' Al Ghaith stated, 'This is a strategic step towards supporting our growing maintenance requirement and capacity as we take delivery of more aircraft, and reaffirms our long-term commitment to innovation, operational efficiency and supporting Dubai's position as a global leader in aviation and business excellence.' The carrier signed an agreement with MBRAH for its first purpose-built Aircraft Maintenance Centre at the 2023 Dubai Airshow. Located in Dubai South, the district offers an aviation and logistics ecosystem that makes it an ideal location for the carrier's facility. The maintenance centre will be situated near Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC), set to become the world's largest airport upon completion. The new maintenance centre will be home to the carrier's expanding team of more than 600 skilled engineers working in Line Maintenance, Technical Services, Materials and Workshops, tasked with guaranteeing the safety and airworthiness of flydubai's fleet.
