He could have more appeal to them now because he may not cost as much. Boston Celtics: Jaylen Brown has successful right knee arthroscopic surgery Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has had a successful right knee arthroscopic debridement procedure, per a release circulated by the team on Wednesday (June 11) morning. The surgery, addressing lingering knee issues experienced by the Georgia native from the latter third of the 2024-25 NBA regular season on throughout the 2025 NBA Playoffs, will reportedly not impede his ability to take part in the Celtics' training camp for the coming 2025-26 regular season. The arthroscopic debridement procedure Brown underwent can refer to a number of related surgeries to remove damaged cartilage and bone, so it is unclear as to what the particulars are with Brown's specific case beyond it being for that same right knee that has bothered him with what has previously been described as a "partial meniscus tear," "bone bruise," and an "impingement". The quick turnaround for the surgery for the Cal alum may seem promising at first blush, but it is also important to remember that former Boston big man Robert Williams III quickly returned from meniscus surgery -- and has not been the same player since. It is also important to stress that what is going on with Brown may be very different than what went on with Timelord. There may be little in common apart from both injuries being located in the knee. The Celtics forward has previously noted that he sought multiple opinions on what would be best for the injury, so fingers crossed he is back on the court as soon as possible.
