Emmerdale John's 'real plan' for Aaron and Robert as fans 'unearth revenge twist'

Daily Mirror2 days ago
Emmerdale fans think there could be more to John Sugden's coincidental relationship with the ex-husband of his brother Robert Sugden amid his secrets under threat
Could Emmerdale villain John Sugden have been faking his intentions for Aaron Dingle this entire time? Some fans can't shake the theory, and that John may have a twisted plan for both Aaron and Robert Sugden.

John's brother Robert made it his mission recently to expose John for his dark crimes, while everyone in the village, including Aaron, have hailed him as the hero. But some fans have never been able to shake the fact that John ended up marrying the ex-husband of his long-lost sibling Robert.

Robert and Aaron were married years earlier, and split after Robert went to prison and just months ago, Aaron married John. It comes as fans have tipped Robert to be the one to expose John and trigger his inevitable downfall.

But amid another identity twist theory doing the rounds, some fans have gone back to square one. When John joined as a secret Sugden, the unknown son of Jack Sugden, back in September last year he sparked concern with fans.
As the romance developed, before Robert returned to the show earlier this year, fans said alarm bells were ringing. For a Sugden no one had ever heard of to join the show, and to then embark on a romance with his brother's ex-husband, it did not sit right with fans.

Immediately fans questioned if there was a hidden agenda and a fake identity, as means of targeting the Sugdens or even the Dingles. A theory was that John was using a fake name and was someone in prison wanting revenge on Robert.
Fast-forward to Robert's return just in time for Aaron and John's wedding, and it seemed John was in fact a Sugden. Robert did not recognise him from prison so that was ruled out, but what if fans were on the right track, but just not quite there with what John's plan was?

After all, it was Robert who asked their sister Victoria Sugden who John really was, telling him she knew nothing about him. Robert seemed to question his backstory and who he claimed to be, while since then that's stopped.
What hasn't stopped is the theory that John is lying about who he is, and now fans are once again questioning his intentions. Some viewers "cannot rid" the idea that he might be targeting Aaron or Robert or both, as part of a mystery vendetta.
Given the link they both share with Aaron, some fans have wondered if it was part of a plot to target Robert the entire time. Some fans believe John or not, there is more to his feud with Robert and his decision to keep targeting him, and that it isn't simply down to jealousy.

A viewer said: "There definitely is more to John's hatred of Robert than just him happening to be his husband's ex-husband and his half-brother." Another fan said: "I still can't rid the feeling that John is only with Aaron as a means of targeting him or the Sugdens, I dunno, I keep thinking some secret revenge is gonna be revealed."
One fan had previously said: "I still don't like or trust John. Don't believe he's John Sugden. Don't believe he loves Aaron, I think he's manipulating Aaron and the others." Another wrote: "I wish my theory about John being Robert's cellmate and seeking revenge against him through Aaron had been true."

Reality star foster mum beat daughter to death over her eating habits

Ariel Robinson subjected Victoria Rose Smith to the ordeal just days before she and her husband officially adopted her. A reality TV star beat her foster daughter to death in a horrific ordeal which caused burst blood vessels and internal bleeding. ‌ Ariel Robinson, 30, who appeared on a series of Worst Cooks in America, was ultimately crowned the winner for showing the most improvement, walking away with a prize of $25,000. ‌ She revealed the funds would go towards her family, and the three children she planned to adopt with her husband, with whom she already had two sons. ‌ The teacher, from Greenville, South Carolina, and her husband Jerry, 35, fostered Victoria "Tori" Rose Smith, three, and her two brothers, aged five and seven. In January 2021, they were days away from formally adopting Victoria, the Mirror reports. On January 13, Robinson took Victoria to church, where she was sick down her dress. A member of the congregation asked if she was ill, which Robinson replied with claims she often ate too much and made herself vomit, before making the youngster leave the church without her dress on. Robinson was heard saying: "Oh, you're cold. You're cold. Girls that make themselves throw up deserve to be cold." ‌ The next day, Jerry called emergency services claiming their daughter was unresponsive. He said: "She drank a lot of water. We tried to do CPR to get it out." Paramedics found Victoria unconscious in her bedroom. Robinson said she feared she had choked after drinking a large amount of liquid. They discovered bruises all over her, which Robinson initially said might have been caused by CPR, before blaming them on Victoria's seven-year-old brother, who she claimed had "anger issues". ‌ She was rushed to hospital, but doctors were unable to save her due to the severity of her injuries. A post-mortem examination revealed her cause of death to be blunt force trauma and internal bleeding. She had been beaten so badly her blood vessels had burst, causing blood to collect in her muscles and fat and eventually restrict the blood flow to her heart, likely resulting in it stopping. When police interviewed the parents, Robinson continued to blame Victoria's brother, but it became clear he wasn't physically able to inflict such damage. ‌ Jerry revealed his wife was responsible, with the incident starting when Victoria had been sick in church and angered Robinson. On January 19, the couple were arrested, and the TV series featuring Robinson removed from the Food Network channel. In April 2025, Jerry admitted aiding and abetting homicide by child abuse, and agreed to testify against his wife. At Robinson's four-day trial this year, the court was shown images of Victoria's horrific injuries. Her biological family attended wearing blue ribbons as a symbol of child abuse prevention, and were visibly upset by the evidence. ‌ Jerry told the court his wife would often lose her temper and take out her frustrations on their foster daughter. Her outbursts included beating her with a wooden paddle and belts, especially in response to her eating habits. He described how the morning after the church incident saw Robinson giving Victoria a "whooping" that lasted around an hour. He recalled entering the house to discover her using a belt on the youngster. He said: "I told her, 'You went too far this time and I should have stopped it." ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Defending herself, Robinson said Victoria was a "perfect child" with no behaviour problems. She added: "She was my mini-me. She used to talk like me, act like me. She wanted to be everywhere I went." She admitted she was "frustrated" at the church incident, as they were running late before Victoria vomited on herself. However, she accused her husband of having one of the "scariest types of anger issues", stating: "He holds everything in, and he doesn't let it out and when it does come it, it's too much because he bottles it up." ‌ The defence said in their closing arguments that Jerry had "cut a deal" for a reduced sentence, and his testimony was not credible. Prosecutors said Robinson had "lost it" and was guilty. They said: "The evidence is clear and if you believe her, she failed to act." In May this year, Robinson was found guilty of homicide by child abuse, and sentenced to life in prison. The judge remarked: "In my 13 to 14 years as a judge, I've never seen anything like this. Not even approaching it." In June, Jerry received a 20-year sentence. He told Victoria's family: "I am truly sorry for all of this. I hope that one day you all can forgive me." They criticised social workers for failing to spot signs of the abuse. They claimed to have seen pictures of Victoria on social media with visible bruises, but nothing was done in response to their reports. They are now calling for a reform of the foster care system, including better screening procedures for potential families.

'I've met Prince Andrew and one thing struck me when I read humiliating new allegations'

More shock allegations have emerged against Prince Andrew in a bombshell book - and royal expert Jennie Bond has revealed her experience when she encountered him Prince Andrew has faced a torrent of new allegations in a bombshell new book. ‌ The biography of both Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, makes a number of shock claims about the pair, including their rampant infidelity before they split and the disgraced Duke of York's supposed rants at staff. ‌ Andrew stepped down from royal duties in 2019 after a car crash BBC Newsnight interview about his connection to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Since then, he's been embroiled in further scandals - including his links to an alleged Chinese spy. ‌ And according to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, Andrew is proving to be "the problem that won't go away" with the release of 'Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the Yorks' by Andrew Lownie. She told the Mirror: "Every few months now, there seem to be new allegations about Prince Andrew and lurid stories about his behaviour over the years. ‌ "These summer months are meant to be a period of calm and respite for the Royal family. But here's the Duke once again, splashed all over the papers, with graphic tales. "I'm sure the book will have infuriated Andrew. I have to say, though, that from my own experience of meeting the Duke and my conversations with many people who have known him or worked with him over the years, there is a distinct ring of truth about his portrayal in this book. Arrogant, pompous and obsessed with status was my abiding impression of him." The month of August usually sees the royals all decamp to Scotland to spend time at their beloved Balmoral estate. King Charles has continued the tradition of inviting members of his family to spend time with him in Scotland. In previous years, Andrew, as well as ex-wife Fergie, have been among the guests. And Jennie believes these latest allegations could prove to be a spanner in any potential Balmoral plans. ‌ She added: "For the King, it must be exasperating to have to read once again about his brother's shenanigans. It will be interesting to see whether the Duke and Duchess are invited to Balmoral this year as part of the family's summer get-togethers. It certainly could be awkward. "But I don't think we should expect any retaliation from the King. He remains Charles's brother, and I suspect the King will just roll his eyes, probably swear about Andrew under his breath — but then get on with more important things in life. ‌ "The book will, of course, annoy the Palace communications team who are constantly having to shore up the damage to the monarchy caused by Andrew's behaviour." However, the book did not only make allegations against Andrew, it also claimed that ex-wife Fergie would make extravagant demands and lived a life of "opulent excess". It is alleged she spent wildly on staff, holidays, parties and flowers, with no regard for settling bills during her marriage to Andrew - with the late Queen paying off her debts totalling hundreds of thousands of pounds. The Mirror has contacted the Duke and Duchess of York for comment. ‌ And Jennie explained: "For Fergie, I think the book will be a very tough read. In recent months and years, she has been brought in from the cold and has enjoyed a number of family occasions with her royal relatives. "There's also been a good deal of public sympathy for the Duchess in her struggle with cancer. So, headlines like 'Duchess of Excess' and stories about her alleged extraordinary profligate spending will hit her hard."

Inside The Hotel Inspector Alex Polizzi's life from triple miscarriages to famous mum

Alex Polizzi has been a familiar face on our screens for years, thanks to her role as The Hotel Inspector. But what do we know about the woman behind the expert hotelier exterior? Alex Polizzi has been a television mainstay for years thanks to her starring role on The Hotel Inspector. ‌ The hospitality expert first graced the Channel 5 programme back in 2008, stepping into the shoes of Ruth Watson. Ever since, she's won over countless viewers with her no-nonsense approach. ‌ Never one to mince her words when critiquing the venues she visits, Alex has built a reputation for her brutally honest assessments. ‌ Beyond her television career though, Alex enjoys wedded bliss with her seldom-spotted baker spouse and raises two youngsters. But what do we know about the person beneath the professional hotelier facade? ‌ Alex Polizzi's celebrated family background Alex Polizzi entered the world in Poplar, London on August 28, 1971. It appears the hospitality trade flows through the TV personality's veins, given her distinguished family heritage in the sector, reports the Mirror. Her grandfather was Scottish hotel magnate Lord Forte, who established the Forte Group empire, encompassing well-known names like Travelodge. ‌ Meanwhile, Alex's mother Olga Polizzi works as an interior designer and previously served as a Westminster City Council representative. Tragically, Alex's father, Count Alessandro Polizzi, passed away when Alex was merely nine years of age. "It made my mum quite fearful for us, so she was a pretty strict mother and tried to keep us very close to her," Alex previously revealed regarding her father's passing. Alex told Best magazine: "I became determined to be fearless and had to really fight to be allowed to go off backpacking to southeast Asia for the first time at 18. It was an argument that went on for months." ‌ Alex's relationship with her seldom-seen husband Alex is smitten with her husband Marcus Miller, a baker by profession. The couple have been an item for several years and exchanged vows in 2007, after waiting 12 years to tie the knot. According to Alex, there was a rather candid reason behind the delay. ‌ In a chat with The Sun, she admitted: "I still wanted to f*** around, if I'm honest! Who wants to get married at 22? I'm a much better wife than I was 10 years ago. "Partly, you really realise that this is the person you're with for the rest of your life, so there's no point p****** them off." Alex on why she believes she's a 'terrible mum' ‌ Alex and Marcus are the proud parents of two children, daughter Olga, 17, and Rocco, 12. In a past interview, Alex confessed that she considers herself a "terrible mum". She told The Sun: "I'm a terrible mum in that I find it really f****** boring. My lovely, adorable, gorgeous boy says to me: 'Mummy, come and play with me,' and I say: 'You know I don't play.' I'll take him for a cycle ride, I'll have a game of football with him – I'm quite continued: "I'll construct a huge camp for them, but don't make me play in it. I'm better at being a hotel inspector than I am a mother. Alex's sorrow following miscarriages In 2013, Alex openly discussed her heartbreak following multiple television personality disclosed that after the birth of her first child, Olga, she endured three pregnancy losses, including one that occurred just past the five-month mark." It is just so shocking to find out that one's body lets them down in this way," she told MailOnline at the continued: "Once you've had a child, it seems unusual that one couldn't have another one. You're not expecting it, and it comes as such a wallop."
