Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden met in 2018 on the set of Mary Queen of Scots, the historical drama.
Ronan starred as the eponymous queen, while Lowden played her second husband, Lord Darnley. Their on-screen chemistry quickly developed into a real-life relationship, and the pair have remained close ever since.
Lowden has repeatedly praised Ronan in interviews, referring to her as a "force of nature" and a "brilliant leader." Ronan has reciprocated by describing her husband as "a lot calmer" and her "voice of reason," particularly during their work collaborations.

The trailer of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's romantic drama Param Sundari was recently launched. The film shows a cross-cultural romance between the two, with Janhvi playing a Malayali girl named Sundari. Even as audiences liked the trailer and showed some love to one scene of her calling out stereotypes against South Indians, many Malayali viewers have pointed out that her character is itself a stereotype. Malayalam singer-actor Pavithra Menon has shared her complaint against Janhvi Kapoor's character in Param Sundari. Pavithra Menon dissects Param Sundari trailer On Wednesday, Malayalam singer-actor Pavithra Menon took to Instagram to call out the film's makers for the stereotypical depiction of Malayalis in Hindi cinema, and questioned why Hindi films can never cast people from Kerala to play locals. "I am Pavithra Menon; I am a Malayali, and I watched the trailer of Param Sundari, and this is what I think," the actor began in a video she posted on her Instagram. The video then showed a portion of the Param Sundari trailer where Janhvi's character introduces herself in heavily accented Hindi: 'Main Thekkapatil Damodaran Sundaram Pillai Kerala se.' Pavithra reacts in surprise and adds, "Wait, what? Before we go further into the trailer, I want to address this: 'What's the problem in hiring a proper Malayali actor?' Hum kam talented hote hain kya (Are we less talented)?" The actor switches to Hindi and adds, "This is not how it happens in Kerala. Like how I am talking in Hindi, I can also speak Malayalam really well." Switching to Malayalam, Pavithra adds, "Is it so hard to find a Malayali to play the role in a Hindi movie." The actor then addresses the stereotypical depiction of Malayalis in Hindi films and says, "We have done such things in Malayalam films of the 90s when we had to show Punjabis (does an exaggerated balle balle). But now it's 2025. I think everybody knows how a Malayali talks, and how they are as normal as anybody else. We don't just wear jasmine flowers and do Mohiniyattam everywhere." Fans react Pavithra wrote in her caption: "I mean no hate to Jhanvi here but why try this hard?" The actor found support from many of her followers. "Atleast Malayali dubbing artist would have been better," wrote one. Another added, "I second this, even with the styling too." Many noted that the stereotypical depiction was not limited just to Malayalis when it came to Bollywood. One comment read, "Not only Malayalam but also Bengalis. There is a notion in Bollywood that all the Bengali girls just wear a saree, bindi and kohl. They always sing Tagore's." Box Office: Coolie takes a decent start in Hindi; Rajinikanth & Lokesh Kanagaraj film hits Rs 5 crore on day one
The Rajinikanth-led Coolie has taken a decent start in Hindi with estimates indicating first-day business in the range of Rs 4.50 crore to Rs 5.50 crore. The film faced competition from the Hrithik Roshan and NTR led War 2, but has managed to get some traction in the mass belts to put up a reasonable number. The reports are mixed, which means that a long theatrical run is unlikely, but the makers will be hoping to rake in close to Rs 25 crore over the four-day extended opening weekend. Coolie is looking to rake in Rs 2.50 crore in the top 3 national chains – PVRInox and Cinepolis – which are contributing about 45 percent to 50 percent to the total business. The film has released on about 1400 screens, on 3800 shows in India, having enough capacity to grow on the second day. Coolie has taken the second biggest start for a Tamil film dubbed in Hindi, the top spot is occupied by another Rajinikanth film, 2.0, aided by the presence of Akshay Kumar. The Tamil version also did good business in North India with collections expected to be in the range of Rs 1.75 crore. Talking of Coolie, the film is doing record business outside of North India – be it the domestic belt in Tamil Nadu, or the business internationally and of course, Karnataka, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film boasts a powerhouse ensemble featuring Nagarjuna, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and a surprise debut from Aamir Khan in Tamil cinema. The Bollywood superstar's cameo as Daaha in the climax has sparked a flurry of fan theories, especially around whether the film ties into the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU).
