Nimrat Kaur On Male-Dominated Bollywood: 'I Am Here For A Long Run'
Nimrat Kaur attended CNN-News18's SheShakti 2025's Mumbai edition on Thursday, when she opened up about the male-dominated film industry. During her session, Nimrat stated that she does not look at herself differently just because she is a woman and explained that it is important to break self-created compulsions first to fight society.
'I just be myself. We live in a male-dominated world. It is a society where we know that we have more factors against us. There are more stereotypes. There are self-created compulsions also – as a girl, I can do certain things and cannot do others. We need to break this first. I do not look at myself with a deprived view just because I am a woman or we live in a male-dominated world," she said.
Nimrat revealed that she does not prefer to be a part of projects which promote stereotypes about women. 'I do not attract such work," she stated and then added, 'I am here for the long run. I know, I'll be here for decades. All my choices are leading up to something."

Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Navas found dead in hotel
Kochi, Aug 1 (PTI) Malayalam film actor and mimicry artist Kalabhavan Navas was found dead in a hotel in Chottanikkara here on Friday evening, police said. The incident came to light when the staff of the hotel, where Navas (51) was staying for a film shoot, alerted authorities. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead, police said. Police suspect he suffered a cardiac arrest.
