Gulf Air says experiences passenger disturbance on Kuwait flight
The airline said the situation was handled in full co-ordination with the relevant authorities at Kuwait International Airport, where the passenger was detained by airport police upon arrival.
All passengers were safely disembarked.
Expressing regret over the incident, Gulf Air said all required security measures were activated as the safety and well-being of passengers and crew members remained its top priority.
The airline also extended its appreciation to the Kuwaiti authorities for their utmost professionalism and prompt response in handling the situation and ensuring the highest standards of safety and security.

All Kuwaiti companies and financial institutions must immediately cease cooperation with Hezbollah-affiliated individuals and entities, and freeze any related funds or economic resources. At least seven Lebanese individuals are currently sanctioned because of their alleged involvement in the financial networks between Lebanon and Kuwait, which serve Hezbollah. \ In July 2025, Lebanon's central bank issued a circular forbidding all licensed banks and brokerages from dealing directly or indirectly with AQAH or other unlicensed financial entities, signaling a move toward curbing Hezbollah's economic footprint. In November last year, Kuwait arrested 18 individuals because of suspected economic links with Hezbollah.

Pilot, doctor arrested for possessing unlicenced ammunition, illegal alcohol in Kuwait
In a significant crackdown on illegal weapons and alcohol, Kuwait's Ministry of Interior arrested two airline employees — one a doctor and the other a pilot — on charges of possessing unlicenced ammunition and large quantities of alcoholic beverages. The operation began at Kuwait International Airport, where customs officers discovered 64 rounds of ammunition in the luggage of a doctor, working for a local airline. Upon questioning, the doctor admitted that the ammunition was his and claimed that it had been supplied by a second individual — a pilot employed by the same airline. Based on this lead, security forces apprehended the pilot at the airport. During interrogation, the pilot admitted to what the doctor had said. Authorities got a search warrant for his residence and vehicle and the subsequent search revealed a staggering 500 rounds of unlicenced ammunition hidden at the pilot's home. Further investigation led to another property owned by the pilot in the Al Shaab Al Bahri area, where authorities uncovered 87 bottles of alcoholic beverages along with materials used for homemade alcohol production. The pilot confessed to producing alcohol at his residence, using supplies ordered from online websites. Both suspects have been charged and referred to the competent authorities for further legal action.

Kuwait busts major corruption network exchanging bribes for illegal advantages
Authorities in Kuwait have busted a corruption network who took part in exchange of bribes for financial gains, the Ministry of Interior announced. The authority took action against the network which involved five members of the Union and Boards of Directors of cooperative societies, six commercial companies, and 14 intermediaries and employees. They had received financial bribes from certain commercial companies to promote and give priority to these companies' products within the cooperatives, violating regulations and laws. The members were caught after the authority launched an investigation and gathered evidence confirming the involvement of several companies and intermediaries in offering cash to those concerned in exchange for illegal advantages. A number of intermediaries, who were responsible for transferring and delivering the money, were also arrested. All the suspects admitted to the charges against them after being confronted with the evidence. Nineteen individuals were caught in two separate incidents and are as follows: Legal procedures have been taken against them and they have been referred to the competent authority.
