NFL insider says Rams, Cowboys are teams to watch in Jalen Ramsey trade talks
The Miami Dolphins are in talks with several teams about a trade involving cornerback Jalen Ramsey and the Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys are among the top teams to watch, according to one NFL insider.
A deal involving the seven-time Pro Bowl cornerback has been a foregone conclusion since April when Dolphins general manager Chris Grier announced in a press conference that the two sides were ready to part ways. The delay in a deal getting done is likely because Miami is waiting until June for salary cap reasons. The Dolphins have also reportedly been looking for interested teams to take on a significant portion of Ramsey's $24.2 million fully guaranteed salary.

"The Dolphins haven't shown a willingness to pay a lot of that money and neither do [other] teams," Jeremy Fowler said Friday on ESPN's SportsCenter. "The LA Rams have been previously involved here, they won a Super Bowl with Ramsey, they're very familiar with the player. Nothing hard and fast, though, as far as a deal.
"NFC East could be one to watch. The Dallas Cowboys, they made three trades this offseason for players on rookie deals, could they make a fourth trade for a veteran who's on a bigger contract? They need cornerback help. When I talked to someone in Dallas, they said 'It's possible we're not done. It's slow right now, but we could always be looking to add.'"
Last month, a report highlighted five teams -- the Rams, Atlanta Falcons, Detroit Lions, Washington Commanders, and Philadelphia Eagles -- as interested in Ramsey.

DENVER (AP) — Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning became the latest sports celebrity to join the ownership group of Denver's National Women's Soccer League expansion team on Tuesday. Manning's brother, Eli, is part of Gotham FC, while Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is involved with the KC Current and NBA star James Harden backs the Houston Dash. Decorated Alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn supports the Utah Royals FC. Manning was a five-time MVP and two-time Super Bowl winner in a career that started with the Indianapolis Colts and ended in Denver after helping the Broncos to a title following the 2015 season. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021 after throwing for 71,940 yards with 539 touchdowns and 251 interceptions.
