G-Dragon Concert Organiser Cancelling Fans' Tickets Instead Of Targeting Scalpers?
Just when it seemed the controversy over G-Dragon (권지용) concert tickets couldn't get any worse, it did. Fans were already outraged when the organiser, Star Planet Malaysia, managed to re-release only 254 tickets after cancelling those acquired by scalpers, especially given that over 300 were allegedly snapped up by local and international buyers using a bypass.
The company gave assurances that it would further investigate the issue and cancel any ticket linked to suspicious activity. However, some genuine fans have since come forward after discovering that their tickets are no longer valid. Here's what happened:
One of our readers got in touch with us to share that some G-Dragon fans received an email from Star Planet informing them that their tickets had been voided due to irregularities. According to the screenshots they provided, one fan urged others to check their emails to confirm whether their tickets were still valid. 'How can they cancel my ticket like that? I thought they said only scalped tickets would be voided, but it turns out, they voided mine,' the fan wrote.
A user on Twitter, who runs a ticketing service, backed the affected fan, stating that one of her customers also had their ticket voided, despite the ticket being purchased legally through the official website. The story is currently making waves on Twitter, with many accusing the organiser of failing to keep its promise to cancel scalped tickets. Others have questioned the methods used to detect these resold tickets. Some pointed out that notorious scalper Aqil Zubir has made his Instagram account public again to continue reselling G-Dragon tickets, further fuelling suspicion that Star Planet has yet to void the tickets he purchased.
If that weren't suspicious enough, the scalper posted on his Instagram Story that he had recently attended the Maher Zain concert press conference, a private event typically reserved for media, organisers, and VIPs. This has raised questions about whether he could be one of the alleged insiders with access to the tickets. There is currently no concrete evidence to support this rumour, but given that he is still openly promoting ticket resales, there is reason to suspect that he may at least have been overlooked by Star Planet.
As for the 254 re-released tickets, the website indicates they have already sold out, yet no official announcement has been made. If these speculations hold any truth, it may be wise to check your email to ensure your tickets are still valid for the upcoming G-Dragon concert in Kuala Lumpur.

Barbie Hsu's kids at centre of drama as stepmum complains about costly camp fee
Wang Xiaofei and Mandy Ma held a wedding ceremony just last month, after registering their marriage in 2024. The late Barbie Hsu (far right) had two children with Wang. Photos: Mandy Ma/Instagram, Barbie Hsu/Instagram Drama is heating up in the Wang Xiaofei household after his new wife, Mandy Ma, sparked outrage online over a livestream comment she made about summer camp costs, reported Sin Chew Daily . The 44-year-old Chinese businessman is the ex-husband of the late Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu. Wang and Hsu share two kids from their 11-year marriage: an 11-year-old daughter and a nine-year-old son. Hsu passed away in February at the age of 49 due to pneumonia-related complications. This latest controversy began during a livestream, where 26-year-old influencer Ma mentioned that the 2,000 yuan (RM1,177) summer camp fee for one of Hsu's children seemed 'a bit expensive'. Ma's comment didn't sit well with netizens, who quickly accused her of being stingy – especially since she is now a stepmother to Hsu's children. Responding to the backlash, Ma clarified that the 2,000 yuan fee – equivalent to TWD$8,215 – was for just one hour of camp. 'The payment has already been made,' she explained. 'We were just casually chatting – thank you for treating our family matters like your own.' Despite the online criticism, Ma is said to be actively involved in her stepchildren's lives. One of the kids even wrote her a heartfelt Mothers Day card this year, saying: 'Thank you for often taking me abroad. Happy Mothers Day.' Wang and Ma held a lavish wedding ceremony last month, a year after registering their marriage.

Isabella Leong, who once dated a HK billionaire, reportedly in new relationship
Actress Isabella Leong is believed to be dating Chinese actor and director Marc Ma. Photos: Isabella Leong/Instagram, Sin Chew Daily Macau-born actress Isabella Leong, the ex-girlfriend of Hong Kong billionaire Richard Li, has apparently found love again, Sin Chew Daily reported. The 36-year-old recently sparked dating rumours after she was photographed attending an event with Chinese actor and director Marc Ma, who's nine years her senior. The pair were later seen holding hands as they left the venue, appearing happy and relaxed as they chatted and laughed. It's reported that the two had dinner together later in the day. According to Hong Kong media reports, speculation about Leong and Ma's budding romance first surfaced in late 2024, when they were spotted leaving a cafe in Beijing hand-in-hand. The rumours intensified when netizens noted that Leong has been spending much of her time in Beijing in recent years, suggesting it may be because she wants to be closer to Ma, 45. Leong met Li on the set of The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor through Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh in 2008. Both Yeoh and Leong starred in that Hollywood movie. Although she was initially interested in marrying Li – with whom she shares three children – Leong decided to call it quits in February 2011 as she 'couldn't accept' how 'popular' the billionaire was with women. 'I needed more security in my life,' she said in a talk show last year. Meanwhile, Ma began his career as a child actor in the 1991 film Fazike but initially struggled to find a foothold in the industry. After graduating from high school, he left his hometown of Lanzhou and travelled to Beijing to sit for the entrance exam at the Central Academy of Drama which he unfortunately failed. In 2000, Ma found work as a production assistant at a drama production company and later starred in the 2003 series Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils – a role that opened more doors for casting opportunities. He gained fame for his performance in the 2013 film The White Storm , which earned him the Best Newcomer prize at the Hundred Flower Awards.
