Three MICHELIN Stars awarded to these restaurants
For the first time since the guide's inception in 2022, two restaurants have been awarded the prestigious Three MICHELIN Stars, signifying exceptional cuisine worth a special journey.
FZN by Björn Frantzén, a new addition to the guide, has earned Three MICHELIN Stars. This destination restaurant marks acclaimed Swedish chef Björn Frantzén's debut in the Middle East, offering a sophisticated experience that blends Scandinavian and Asian influences using the finest luxury ingredients.
Trèsind Studio has also been elevated to Three MICHELIN Stars in its fourth appearance in the guide, making history as the first Indian restaurant globally to receive this highest accolade. Chef Himanshu Saini's immersive Indian concept showcases traditional dishes reimagined with creativity and flair, resulting in vibrant and flavorful creations.
New One MICHELIN Star Restaurants
Two restaurants have been newly awarded One MICHELIN Star.Jamavar's Dubai outpost, located in the Opera district, offers harmonious Indian dishes crafted with prime ingredients, earning it a place in this year's selection.
Manāo, led by Dubai-born chef Abhiraj Khatwani, presents an 11-course tasting menu of re-imagined Thai classics.
The restaurant's dedication to authentic flavours and innovative presentation has secured its One MICHELIN Star status.
With these additions, a total of 14 restaurants in Dubai now hold One MICHELIN Star, highlighting high-quality cooking worth a stop.
Five new Bib Gourmand recognitions
The Bib Gourmand award, recognising establishments offering great quality and value, has been bestowed upon five new restaurants, bringing the total in Dubai to 22.
DUO Gastrobar-Creek Harbour, the second branch of the popular restaurant in Dubai Hills, offers a well-priced menu of refined comfort food.
Harummanis, a Malay grill eatery, draws influences from neighboring countries, delivering perfectly spiced and balanced flavors.
Hawkerboi, situated in the JLT neighborhood, celebrates the street foods of Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Myanmar in a relaxed setting.
Khadak, a contemporary Indian brasserie, offers vibrant sharing plates that capture the essence of India's street food.
Sufret Maryam, the second venture by Chef Salam Dakkak, presents refined Levantine dishes generous in flavour and portion.
Special awards highlight industry excellence
The MICHELIN Guide also presented Special Awards to honor outstanding contributions within the hospitality industry. These included:
Opening of the Year: Ronin, located in the FIVE LUXE JBR hotel, offers a contemporary Japanese dining experience with bold flavors and pan-Asian decor.
Sommelier Award: Shiv Menon of Boca restaurant is recognised for his passionate and knowledgeable approach to wine, supporting the restaurant's sustainable ethos.
Service Award: The team at Al Khayma Heritage Restaurant, situated in the Al Fahidi Historical District, is commended for their pride and passion in delivering exceptional service.
Young Chef Award: Chef Abhiraj Khatwani of Manāo is honored for his authentic and skillfully balanced Thai dishes, reflecting his enthusiasm and experience.

Eid Al Adha: Sharjah to operate 180 buses on various routes during holidays
Anticipating a surge in travel during Eid Al Adha break, the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) will operate 180 buses on various routes, aiming to complete around 5,600 trips over the four days of the holidays. The transport authority said that during peak times, buses will run every 5 minutes instead of the usual 45-minute wait. This means shorter waiting times. SRTA said that it will also increase staff at busy bus stations, especially the Jubail Bus Station, which will be open from early morning until late at night to accommodate the larger number of passengers expected during the holidays. The authority said it will be running a total of 1,144 bus trips each day across 12 different routes, using 104 buses that connect to 543 stops around the city. Marine transport SRTA also said that there will be a special boat service, operating between Sharjah and Dubai, in coordination with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority, during the break. The authority said that there will be four daily trips. These boats will leave from the Aquarium Station in Sharjah and arrive at Al Ghubaiba Station in Dubai.

Ethiopian Airlines commences new passenger service to Sharjah
Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's largest network operating carrier, has launched a new passenger service from Sharjah to Addis Ababa from June 1. The new route will be operated four-times weekly, delivering convenient options between Sharjah and the Ethiopian global network. The flights will also initiate a significant trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Africa and the Middle East. Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mesfin Tasew, stated, 'We are truly delighted to connect our passengers to an additional getaway in the UAE with our new flights to Sharjah. We have been connecting the UAE and Africa for nearly five decades now and the new service will help boost investment, tourism, diplomatic and socio-economic bonds between the two regions.' The route launch and inaugural flight was celebrated in Sharjah with an event attended by Sheikh Khalid Isam Al Qassimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation – Sharjah, Oumer Hussien, Ambassador of Ethiopia to the UAE, Solomon Begashaw, Area Manager, Ethiopian Airlines (UAE), Rahel Assefa, Vice President - Marketing, Ethiopian Airlines Group, Khalid Waleed Al Mansoori, Manager - Overseas Promotions Department, Sharjah Tourism, and other officials from Sharjah Government and Ethiopian Airlines. Ministry of Economy awards second collective music management licence to Music Nation
The UAE Ministry of Economy granted its second collective music management licence to 'Music Nation' during a ceremony held at its headquarters in Dubai. The licence authorises the organisation to manage the distribution of rights on behalf of music creators and performers, while also ensuring nationwide compliance among music platforms. The announcement was made during an event attended by Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, and Dr. Abdulrahman Hassan Al Muaini, Assistant Under-Secretary for Intellectual Property. The Ministry confirmed that the licence was issued in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 38 of 2021 concerning copyright and related rights. It marks the continuation of the Ministry's efforts to strengthen intellectual property frameworks in the UAE, following the first collective management licence awarded to the Emirates Music Rights Association in April 2025. Al Saleh said, 'Under the vision of our wise leadership, the UAE has placed strategic emphasis on enhancing the competitiveness of its cultural and creative industries, driving their growth both regionally and globally. Recognising their vital role in national economic growth, we are committed to fostering public-private collaboration to cultivate an enabling environment for talent and innovation. By elevating the creative economy's legislative framework to world-class standards, we aim to expand the private sector's participation in it, in line with the National Strategy for Cultural and Creative Industries 2031.' The Under-Secretary said in his speech, 'The Ministry remains committed to establishing a world-class copyright governance system, drawing on international best practices. We are achieving this through strengthening legal and regulatory frameworks, fostering investment in creative sectors, and implementing robust collective management systems. These measures safeguard intellectual property rights while building creators' trust in the nation's creative ecosystem.' 'The collective music management licence serves as a catalyst for cultural innovation while safeguarding artists' intellectual property rights. Through establishing transparent revenue distribution systems and fair compensation mechanisms, it elevates the UAE's music industry - enhancing its global competitiveness and positioning our nation as a premier hub for creative enterprises,' he added. Al Saleh emphasised that awarding the licence to 'Music Nation' marks a strategic milestone in the UAE's commitment to fostering creativity. The initiative unlocks new opportunities for artists, writers, and producers while strengthening rights protection and leveraging creative-economy tools - ultimately positioning the sector as a key driver of national economic growth. Dr. Abdulrahman Hassan Al Muaini said, 'Our music industry is witnessing remarkable growth, fuelled by an expanding ecosystem of creative enterprises and world-class events. Dubai alone boasts 350 live music venues, while the national streaming market generated US$841.9 million in 2024 - projected to nearly triple to $2.3 billion by 2030. To sustain this momentum, the Ministry of Economy is prioritising robust legislative frameworks that will further catalyse the creative economy and foster artistic innovation.' He added, 'Building on last month's inaugural licence granted to the Emirates Music Rights Association, today marks another significant milestone with the official authorisation of Music Nation. We are actively collaborating with local and global partners, including industry associations and legal experts, to share best practices that drive sector growth. In tandem, we're expanding awareness initiatives to ensure artists, composers, and producers fully leverage these licences to protect both their creative works and financial interests.'
