River Island's 'gorgeous' midi dress shoppers say is 'so flattering'
River Island shoppers have praised the "stunning" and "beautiful" dress after spotting it online
River Island shoppers are heaping praise on a "gorgeous" dress they've seen go viral on social media. The high street giant is well known for it's fashion favourites - and there might be a new crowd pleaser available.
The retailer is selling the Yellow Sleeveless Corset Detail Midi Dress, which is priced at £99. Available in yellow or white, the dress is currently available in a range of sizes, though some are quickly selling out.
The dress features a v-neck, sleeveless design, with adjustable straps, midi length and zip fastening. The stand-out corset detail gives the product an elegant silhouette.
The dress is made with 97% Cotton and 3% Elastane, with shoppers encouraged to cool iron the product and, when machine washing, use a 30°C, gentle setting. River Island has warned shoppers against tumble drying or dry cleaning the dress.
For shoppers who love the colour of the season but want a different style, New Look has the Yellow Floral Patterned Long Sleeve Midi Dress on sale for £35.99 (down from £47.99), while ASOS stocks the 3D floral bust corset linen look midi dress in yellow for £75. Next also has the Lemon Yellow Square Neck Puff Hem Midi Dress priced at £85.
Popular Instagram page @galslovehighstreet shared a clip showcasing the River Island dress in store. The video was captioned: "It's screaming Italian wedding guest."
The post racked up more than 1,800 likes and many comments from excited shoppers. Among them, one person said: "Love this colour," and a second wrote: "Gorgeous."
A third interested shopper added: "This looks soooo flattering." A fourth said: "I love this dress so much." Another wrote: "I'm obsessed."
However, some shoppers raised issues with the dress in the comments too. One person said: "I want this but £95 wow," while a second wrote: "Stunning, but that price is mental."
Another shopper, while claiming to like the dress, had an issue with the zipper. They wrote: "Get rid of that massive zip and wack a bow on the back and that's an amazing occasion dress!"
Despite this, many other shoppers continued to praise the yellow dress. One said: "Absolutely gorgeous", while a second wrote: "Fave colour."
