Imogen Thomas, the former Big Brother contestant, has opened up about the heart-wrenching challenges her family is facing due to her mum's battle with Motor Neurone Disease [MND]. In an exclusive conversation with OK!, she confessed that she's "dreading" an upcoming holiday as her mother's condition deteriorates.
The 42-year-old Welsh model and ex-Miss Wales spoke about her mother Janette's diagnosis with the debilitating neurological condition in 2023. Despite being "OK right now," Imogen described the profound impact the disease has had on her mum's daily life.
"Her right side has gone now, so it's dead," Imogen said, detailing the current state of her mother's health.
She also mentioned how frequently she visits home: "I go home a lot, now. I'm home once a month to Wales, for four days at a time."
During the heartfelt interview, Imogen revealed that she had planned a special trip to Italy with her mum after winning it at a charity auction for MND.
However, what was initially an exciting getaway is now a source of anxiety.

"We're going on holiday soon. I bid for a holiday at a MND charity event, so she and I could go to Italy in June, but now I'm dreading it because the circumstances and how she feels have changed," she shared.

Imogen, who is a mother to two daughters, Ariana, 12, and Siera, 10, with former partner Adam Horsley, may be recognised for her glamorous lifestyle and social media activity, but she emphasises that her mum's illness has profoundly altered her priorities and brought her back down to earth.
Behind closed doors, life has been complex for Imogen, yet she hasn't missed a beat. Following a family getaway to Turkey, she's been expanding her property portfolio and maintaining a solid two-year relationship with her banker boyfriend.
Still, she concedes that the emotional strain of her mother's health condition casts a shadow.
Remaining outspoken and frank, Imogen has been candidly sharing her journey through parenthood, her views on cosmetic procedures, and her aspirations that might include a third breast surgery—this time, a reduction due to physical discomfort.
She's clear about discouraging her daughters from cosmetic enhancements, stating: "I'd do everything to avoid it, because I know they would regret it," and emphasising her hope of them steering clear of surgical routes.
The former Big Brother star and Miss Wales 2003, who came into the limelight in 2006, reflects positively on her reality TV stint and remains open to revisiting the screen, noting: 'I loved it, and if they asked me to go on it now, I would."

For now, though, her dedication is to her family and supporting her mum through thick and thin.

Lana Del Rey Vs Ethel Cain - The 'Copycat' IG Post, Body Shaming Allegation and Lyrical Digs Explained
Another day in celeb world, another feud. This time, the drama is brewing between Ethel Cain and Lana Del Ray. While it's no secret that Ethel has been compared to Lana several times, drama escalated between the pair this week thanks to the lyrics of Lana's new song. It kicked off when Lana posted an Instagram video which showed her in a car, listening to a segment of a song from her upcoming album, with the lyrics 'Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post / Think it's cute reenacting my Chicago pose.' People were quick to deduce that the lyric seems to reference a picture from 2024 of Cain with Jack Donoghue - Del Ray's supposed ex-boyfriend, in front of a dam. Ethel had a close friendship with Jack, and some reports even suggested she dated him after his relationship with Lana. What's more, the 2024 image was strikingly similar to a previous photo of Del Rey and Donoghue outside Chicago's Cook County Jail. In the song, Rey's lyrics also say 'The most famous girl at the Waffle House/ I don't regret it/ The most famous girl at the Waffle House.' In a 2022 profile in The New York Times, Cain was dubbed 'The Most Famous Girl at the Waffle House' - leading many people to think Ray is throwing further shade at her here. The lyric also references Lana's own viral 2023 moment, when she was spotted working a shift at a Waffle House in Alabama. Things escalated even further when Pop Pass shared a post reporting on the unreleased segment of the song, Lara also alleged that Ethel body-shamed her in a comment. 'I don't know who Ethel was until a few years ago – when someone brought to my attention the disturbing and graphic side-by-side images she would often put up of me next to unflattering creatures and cartoon characters making constant comments about my weight, I was confused at what she was getting at,' she wrote. 'Then when I heard what she was saying behind closed doors from mutual friends and started inserting herself into my personal life I was definitely disturbed.' Shortly after, Cain shared on her Instagram stories that Lana had blocked her on the platform. Ethel has not responded to Lana's claims. The links between Ethel and Lana go a long way back. According to reports, Ethel used to be a Lana Del Ray fan, and even posted a cover of her track, born to die, online in 2017. However, in time Ethel reportedly grew frustrated with the comparisons between her and Lana. According to Dazed, she once replied to a fan who compared the two of them by saying 'I pushed her over when I ran past' and 'She'll never catch up to me in her Macy's dress.' Neither Lana or Ethel have released public statements about the feud. As for how the fed between these two indie stars will play out online (and on Spotify)? Watch this space. Battlefield 6 players get free gift if they cause $1 trillion of damage in beta
EA has set Battlefield 6 players an explosive challenge in the open beta, depending on exactly how much property damage they cause. Battlefield 6's second open beta officially went live on Thursday, adding an additional map called Empire State and two new modes in Rush and Squad Deathmatch. The beta is set to run until Sunday, August 18 at 9am BST, and developer EA has leaned into the franchise's appetite for destruction via a new challenge for players. If players around the world manage to collectively cause $1 trillion worth of damage in the Battlefield 6 beta, everyone who participated will receive a Destruction weapon skin for the M60 machine gun when the full game launches on October 10, 2025. At the time of writing, the total amount of financial damage is just over $100 billion, a figure carried over from the first beta, so players have a lot to demolish over the next two days if they want to claim their prize. If you want to see how much you've individually contributed to the desecration of virtual architecture, EA has a way so players can see their specific 'destruction receipt' too. Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. In order to access the results of your destruction, you first have to take part in some obligatory social engagement. You can find a breakdown of the steps below. Blow up stuff in the Battlefield 6 beta. Post a gameplay video of your destruction on X or Instagram with #BF6Receipts and @battlefield mentioned in the post. Within 24 hours, your receipt will be added to the online leaderboard here, where you can search for your username and find your total. So what's the best way to cause the most destruction? While you can rack up damage by hopping in vehicles and unloading at buildings, character class wise you're best to pick the Engineer, who comes with a rocket launcher and mines as side weapons. More Trending If you fancy seeing your player stats from the first open beta, you can check out those by entering your EA ID here. While the jury is out on whether Battlefield 6 will threaten Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7, the latter's release date is a whole month later according to a recent leak. Strictly's Nadiya Bychkova spotted for first time after 'scary' fall
Strictly Come Dancing pro Nadiya Bychkova has been spotted for the first time after suffering a major health setback ahead of the new series. Earlier this week, the dancer revealed she'd had to make a hospital visit after'landing on her back' during a training session. In an Instagram post, Nadiya, who joined Strictly in 2017, spoke about how she was feeling 'really worried' as rehearsals get underway for Strictly's 2025 season. Since that hospital visit, the 35-year-old has used Instagram Story to update her fans on her recovery, but looked in high spirits as she arrived for training on Friday. Nadiya, whose previous celeb partners include Olympian Tom Dean and broadcaster Dan Walker, smiled for cameras, looking effortlessly stylish in a pair of denim shorts and a cropped white shirt. Carrying coffee to fuel her day of dancing, she carried her essentials in a big designer handbag, joining her fellow returning pros at a London studio. Nadiya's sighting comes after her latest social media update, as she wrote yesterday: 'I've had so many kind messages over the past 48 hours. Thank you for your love and support. 'So many questions too, so I just wanted to let you know that I had another scan today – just to check things over – and some more physio from the Strictly team, and I'll be back on that dancefloor tomorrow.' She finished by reassuring her fans that she's feeling 'more like [herself]' now after resting, adding she can't wait to be back with her Strictly family and is looking forward to the new series. In a previous Instagram post, Nadiya explained exactly what happened during her accident. 'Well… where do I start? What a 24 hours,' her caption read. 'Thank you so much for all the messages, love and support. I just wanted you to know that I am ok. 'I had a fall in training yesterday and landed on my back. I was really worried for a while and I was so thankful to the Strictly family and medical team who really looked after me. 'The staff at the hospital were so kind and caring. 'I'm smiling in the picture, but it was really scary and there were a few tears as I had to lie still for hours but I was given the all-clear after an X-ray and allowed to go home.' She confirmed that she now has some physiotherapy lined up, but explained to her followers she was more than ready to get stuck into the upcoming Strictly season. 'I can't wait for you to see it. Keep dancing!' she concluded. The selfie showed her lying in a hospital with a slight smile. She's been flooded with support in the comments since the incident, including from judge Motsi Mabuse, who wrote: 'My heart dropped when I heard! So grateful you're okay. 'Take all the time you need. We need you shining and sparkling on that floor soon! Sending you all my love.' Her former Strictly partner Dan added: 'Glad to hear you're ok partner,' with a dancing emoji. 'So glad you are OK. Rest up and take all the time you need,' fan shirleighshirlz said. 'Go easy, and I hope you'll be back dancing,' freddexmoregan echoed. 'Sending so much love, back injuries are so scary! It'll be great to see you on stage again,' sophiekerr579. The fall is understood to have taken place in North London, with an ambulance being called. A source told The Sun at the time: 'It looked pretty nasty, and no one was taking any chances. The Strictly crew rushed into action, and she was stretchered out.' Ukrainian-Slovenian entertainer Nadiya has been a staple of the professional lineup since signing to Strictly eight years ago and will inevitably dazzle viewers once more when Strictly airs again on September 20. More Trending The professional cast has undergone plenty of changes this year after Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima exited the show, making way for new pros Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon. Gorka Márquez will also not be competing this year due to scheduling conflicts, although he will appear in some of the group dances. As for the celebrity contestants, the Strictly 2025 class is now complete, and today marked the first rehearsals with the full cast. This includes Doctor Who star Alex Kingston, former England rugby captain Chris Robshaw, EastEnders' Balvinder Sopal, reality TV personality Dani Dyer, drag queen La Voix, model Ellie Goldstein, and Game of Thrones star Kristian Nairn.
