And fans watching the action on TV will be treated to a brand-new feature.
That is because, as reported by The Guardian, the R&A have installed a Spidercam above the 18th green.
The camera will be attached to four 25m-tall pylons.
And the introduction will give new viewing angles and perspectives of the 18th green - where the Claret Jug will be won on Sunday.
The report adds the R&A informed the players about the plans last week.
And while there were some concerns about possible distractions, it is said no official complaints about the Spidercam were submitted.
The Spidercam's footage will be available for broadcast partners including Sky Sports in the UK and NBC in America.
It will be supplemented by existing cameras such as aerial drones and bunker cams.

The remote-controlled Spidercam has proven a major success in other sports such as football, rugby and cricket.
And the R&A's head of broadcasting and media rights, Paul Sutcliffe, said: 'It's not often The Open is the first to do something, as usually innovations are made by the Tours before being introduced by the Majors, so this is really exciting.
Xander Schauffele jokes he was 'trending towards an alcoholic,' but he's happy to be back in Scotland
'Portrush is one of the few venues without a clubhouse on the 18th green so that gave us a unique opportunity.
'With more space around the green we have been able to install technology.
"There will be some wires around the green, but the camera will retract to the grandstand before each player's second shot so we're confident there will be no interference.
'2019 was one of the iconic Opens with the emotion of Shane Lowry winning at Portrush and Spidercam will enable viewers to walk with the 2025 champion up the 18th.
"It's the greatest walk in golf and should be very special.'

Sunderland close in on former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka

The PA news agency understands the Black Cats have agreed personal terms with the 32-year-old former Arsenal skipper and are attempting to thrash out a fee with Erik ten Hag's Bundesliga club. Switzerland international Xhaka, who began his career at Basel before heading for Borussia Monchengladbach, spent seven years with the Gunners and is well acquainted with England's top flight. He joined Arsenal in a £35million switch from Monchengladbach during the summer of 2016 and made 297 appearances for the club, winning two FA Cups, before returning to Germany with Leverkusen in July 2023. Xhaka, who has been caped 137 times by his country, won the league title at the end of his first season and made 49 appearances in all competitions, 10 of them in the Champions League, during the last campaign. A combative player, Xhaka was stripped of the Arsenal captaincy in November 2019 after a heated exchange with home fans at the Emirates Stadium.

‘Have to be careful these days' – Gerwyn Price has cheeky response after heated Daryl Gurney clash at World Matchplay

Then Gurney mocked his celebration, leading to the fiery coming together. Price, 40, later cooled tensions between the pair with a funny message on social media. He wrote: "Have to be careful these days I'm down to light cruiserweight." Price credits his weight loss with his return to the form at the oche, but the Welshman also believes he is now more emotionally intelligent, and that has played a big role too. Asked if that played a role in his win over Gurney, Price said: "Definitely. If it was five, six, seven years ago, that game probably could have got away from me. "I've learned to try and keep my emotions intact at key points. I did today. There were two or three legs where I felt like my head was going to blow off — but I just had to keep it in. "I felt like I was pretty poor in patches and didn't play particularly well. There's a lot more in the tank." Michael van Gerwen reveals major personal change for first time that inspired World Matchplay win 'I just felt like I needed to keep myself composed. Sometimes I'm forcing not to let my emotions get the best of me, and sometimes that's what happens. "I can let out the emotions, and then the next leg's not so good. So sometimes I try and control that — and I did in that game."

Bryan Mbeumo excited to follow in Ronaldo's footsteps at ‘biggest club' Man Utd

Mbeumo has signed a deal until 2030, with the option of a further season, at what he calls the 'club of my dreams' – one whose shirt he wore as a kid growing up in France. 'From the start I wanted to join this club, this massive club, and now I'm here and I'm just really happy,' the Cameroon international told club media. 'For me, it's the biggest club in the world, in England as well. I think the fans are crazy, the stadium is amazing, and I think every player wants to play here. 'I think my first top was a Manchester United top with Ronaldo behind. It's just such a big club and, yeah, I'm really happy to be here.' Mbeumo says he idolised Ronaldo and Lionel Messi growing up, as well as admiring Neymar and Eden Hazard, and joins Matheus Cunha in bolstering what has been a blunt United attack. Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha are now Manchester United players (Steven Paston/PA) The forward says the Brazil international will 'bring something new' to a team that he is excited to get to know better when they head to the United States for their pre-season tour on Tuesday. 'I think it's really important for me joining a new club,' Mbeumo said. 'It's important to create links as soon as possible, automatism as well with the team-mates, so in and out the pitch. 'The spirit is really important. Yeah, create a group, being involved as soon as possible, for me, it's something really important.' Turning up for his first day in style 😎 🆕 @BMbeumo19 — Manchester United (@ManUtd) July 22, 2025 Mbeumo links up with United after scoring 20 Premier League goals for Brentford under Thomas Frank, who has since moved on to Tottenham and is someone he sees similarly to new boss Ruben Amorim. 'I think they have similar values,' he said. 'He seems really close to his players and his mentality, his winning thinking every time. This is a thing that I need. 'It seems to be a really good group. I think the spirit is really important for winning and, yeah, with the gaffer I heard only good things about the team.'
