As soon as the plane landed in Glasgow, Scottish police boarded the aircraft and arrested the man, a 41-year-old who remains in custody.

"Officers boarded the plane on its arrival and a 41-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody. Enquiries are continuing," Police Scotland said in a statement.
EasyJet released a statement saying the 'safety of the flight and other customers was not compromised at any time.' The airline also thanked the crew and passengers for handling the situation calmly.
Interestingly, US President Donald Trump is currently in Scotland. He's there for official talks and recently announced a breakthrough deal with EU chief Ursula von der Leyen to end a tariff dispute and prevent a trade war.
While the man's rant mentioned Trump, there is no confirmed link between the outburst and the President's visit.

Jaipur: A 31-year-old fruit seller was arrested Thursday for strangling an 88-year-old retired custom officer after stealing his PhonePe PIN and siphoning off nearly Rs 3 lakh from his account in Ramnagariya area. The accused, Kamlesh Kumar Sharma, who ran a fruit stall outside Lotus Villa Society in Jagatpura, allegedly recorded a video of the victim, Omprakash Khobar, entering his UPI PIN while paying for fruits. Over time, Sharma used the code to transfer money from Khobar's PhonePe account. When the victim noticed the unauthorised transactions and confronted him, Sharma lured him to his flat and killed him to silence him. The body was found in Flat No. 105 of the apartment on July 25. Initially, police suspected natural death due to the victim's age. However, scratch marks on the neck and the missing mobile phone raised suspicions. A post-mortem confirmed death by strangulation. Investigators recovered transaction alerts and call records indicating fund transfers from Khobar's PhonePe to Sharma's account. Further interrogation is underway to determine if others were involved, particularly in the money transfers. Sharma was operating his fruit stall outside the society for some time and was familiar to several residents. The victim, police said, lived alone in the apartment.

Photos & videos found in hidden files in Khewalkar's phone: Police
Pune: Police on Thursday claimed of recovering photos and videos in hidden files from 41-year-old Pranjal Khewalkar's cellphone. Khewalkar, son-in-law of former state minister Eknath Khadse, and six others were arrested by a team of Pune police following a drug seizure from a studio flat in Kharadi, where they were found partying on Sunday. Khewalkar, Nikhil Popatani (35) of Hadapsar, Sameer Fakir Mohammad Sayyed (41) of NIBM Road, Sachin Bhombe (42) of Wagholi and Shripad Yadav (27) of Akurdi were produced before Judicial Magistrate (First Class) N S Bari on Thursday afternoon. The court has sent them to judicial custody. The prosecution told the court that they found several photographs and videos in the hidden files in Khewalkar's cellphone. 1 2 Pune: Cybercrooks posing as Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) officials forced a 62-year-old woman from Kondhwa to transfer Rs6.7 lakh between June 12 and 27 in a digital arrest fraud case. The crooks called the woman, a painter and artist, and told her that her name had figured in a money laundering investigation and that she was being put under digital arrest. The crooks claimed that her Aadhaar card, bank account, and phone number were misused by people involved in terror activities and money laundering cases. "The suspects claimed that her activities were a threat to national security, and they would arrest her in the case. They took money from her as a security deposit, which they were required to deposit in the court," senior inspector Satyajit Admane of Wanowrie police told TOI.
