While Jawan earned him his maiden National Award, he shared the honour with Vikrant Massey for 12th Fail. Following the announcement, Shah Rukh appeared before his fans wearing casuals — a beanie, T-shirt, denim, and a sling on his arm due to a recent injury — and delivered a heartfelt speech.
'I am overwhelmed with gratitude, pride and humility. Receiving a National Award is an honour I will remember for the rest of my life. Thank you to the jury, the chairman, the I&B ministry, and everyone who thought I deserved this recognition," he said.
The superstar didn't forget to credit his collaborators. 'I'd like to thank all of my directors and writers, particularly for 2023 — Raju sir, Sid, and most importantly Atlee sir and his team for believing in me with Jawan. And, of course, my family — Gauri, Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam."
For Shah Rukh, the award is more than just a trophy. As he reflected, 'The National Award is a reminder that my efforts are worth it. It pushes me to keep going, learning, creating, and serving cinema. In a world full of noise, being truly heard is a gift."
On the work front, the superstar will next be seen in King, a film that also features his daughter Suhana Khan, making the father-daughter collaboration one of the most awaited big-screen events.

Troll tells SRK to 'retire,' superstar fires back with hilarious 'tere sawaalon ka...' response
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 17 (ANI): Superstar Shah Rukh Khan once again proved why he is called the 'King of Wit' when he shut down a troll during his recent #AskSRK session on social media. On Saturday, the 59-year-old actor, who is preparing for Siddharth Anand's upcoming film 'King,' surprised his fans by interacting with them online after a long time. As always, the session was full of fun questions, heartfelt messages, and, of course, a few trolls trying their luck. During the session, one user attempted to taunt the actor about his age, asking him to "retire" and give space to younger actors. "Bhai, ab umar ho gayi, retirement le lo aur dusre bachche logon ko aage aane do. #AskSRK" (Brother, you've grown old now, consider retiring so that the new kids can move forward), the user tweeted. SRK, known for handling such moments with humour and class, gave a befitting reply that went viral in no time. He responded, "Bhai, tere sawaalon ka bachpana jab chala jaaye... Phir kuch acchha sa puchna! Tab tak, temporary retirement mein reh please." The witty comeback had fans cheering for their favourite star. Many praised him for his sense of humour, while others shared that Shah Rukh will "never retire from their hearts." One fan wrote, "There is no full stop in success, and there won't be. Work until you breathe." Another called him "the undisputed king" for handling criticism with such grace. Meanwhile, reports suggest that the shooting of 'King' has been paused due to SRK's shoulder injury. (ANI)

Avinash Dwivedi Gives Major Update On Dupahiya 2: ‘I Can Definitely Tell You That…'
Last Updated: Avinash Dwivedi opens up on Dupahiya's journey from rejections to Amazon Prime success and confirms season 2 is set to release soon. Avinash Dwivedi is riding high on the success of Mandala Munders, but his Dupahiya series still remains one of the favourites among web series lovers, and it has been a long wait for season 2 now. Fans are eagerly waiting for an update, so when News18 asked Avinash when the next season of Dupahiya is coming, he gave us a major update and also talked about how the story was rejected by many before Amazon Prime finally agreed to make it. In conversation with us, Avinash talked about facing rejection for Dupahiya's script and revealed, 'During Dupahiya, I faced a lot of rejection. Many people said, 'This isn't funny; who will watch this show?' It happened several times. Many experienced people in the industry told me not to spend time on it, and it does break your morale." 'It is very, very tough because there may be many people who write shows very well, but meeting the right people in your life is very important. Reaching Amazon with a show like Dupahiya wasn't easy," the actor-writer shared while revealing the journey to making the show. Finally, while giving the much-awaited update on the second season of the show, Avinash revealed, 'I don't think I can reveal much, but I can definitely tell you that Dupahiya 2 will release in 2026. Our collective effort is to make sure you get to watch it next year. I can't reveal whether it will happen in the first half or second half, but koshi yahi hai ki jo bhi aaye vo acha hi aaye apke samne." Avinash Dwivedi on facing rejection Avinash Dwivedi has often opened up about initial struggles in his career. While revealing a heartbreaking statement by a producer, he said, 'Once, I met a regional film producer while I was looking for good work, and he told me, 'You should change your face; it's not good.' I was taken aback by this statement, and it really put me on the back foot. It took me a long time to overcome it. But then I realized that there are many such people who try to bring you down." Avinash Dwivedi on Supreme Court's decision Avinash and his wife, Sambhavna Seth, are parents to three little fur babies and often speak about animal rights. The Supreme Court decision on stray dogs in Delhi-NCR came as a shock for them as well. Sharing his views on the judgment, Avinash said, 'Mujhe esa lagta hai ki Supreme Court ke judgment mein zyda galat nahi hai, but I think what the SC said about taking dogs and keeping them in shelters—the management in between is something everyone should know about. If a dog is living in a good place and environment, there's no problem." 'But the problem is that there aren't proper shelters or places to keep them. So it would be better to at least vaccinate them properly. There are lakhs of dogs in Delhi, and suddenly moving them to a new place—I don't think that's right," he concluded. Ibrahim Al Faryan is a Saudi media personality who has covered six World Cup tournaments and holds an honorary doctorate in combating sports fanaticism/ Image: X Cristiano Ronaldo's engagement to longtime partner Georgina Rodríguez has prompted an extravagant gift from Saudi journalist Ibrahim Al Faryan, a camel, symbolizing both celebration and regional tradition. The gesture adds to Al Faryan's growing list of high-profile offerings, underscoring his prominent presence in Saudi Arabia's sports and media circles. A camel for the 'Great one': A personal tribute from Ibrahim Al Faryan Cristiano Ronaldo's recent engagement to Georgina Rodríguez has received global attention, and in Saudi Arabia, the celebration took a uniquely regional turn. Ibrahim Al Faryan, a widely recognized Saudi media personality, marked the occasion by gifting Ronaldo a camel, a gesture he publicly announced on his account on X (formerly Twitter). 'This is my gift to you on the occasion of your marriage,' Al Faryan posted. 'The news has brought joy to us all, great one. Your gift will be in Riyadh when you return. Congratulations to you and Georgina.' His message was addressed directly to Ronaldo, acknowledging the couple's new milestone and offering a gift that is culturally rich and deeply symbolic in the region. Ronaldo and Rodríguez have not publicly disclosed a wedding date, but confirmation of their engagement came directly from Rodríguez through a post featuring a large ring and the caption in Spanish: 'Yes I do. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The 5 Books Warren Buffett Recommends You To Read in 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo In this and in all my lives.' The couple's relationship began in 2016 in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store. Ronaldo, then playing for Real Madrid, met her during a visit. As Rodríguez has described in past interviews, their connection was immediate, 'love at first sight. ' Since then, they have built a shared life spanning multiple countries and clubs, from Spain to Italy and now Saudi Arabia. Not his first gesture: Al Faryan's history of high-profile gifts This is not the first time Ibrahim Al Faryan has made headlines for a notable gift to a football star. In August 2023, two years before the camel gift, he presented Brazilian midfielder Fabinho with a Rolex watch following his debut match for Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League. The moment, which unfolded at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, was captured on video and quickly went viral across social media platforms. As Fabinho exited the stadium, Al Faryan approached and personally fastened the watch onto the player's wrist. Fabinho appeared surprised but appreciative, smiling, thanking the journalist, and shaking his hand. The watch was given in celebration of Fabinho's entry into Saudi football after his transfer from Liverpool. Al Faryan, known for his extensive coverage of international football, has attended six FIFA World Cup tournaments as part of his media career. Beyond journalism, he holds an honorary doctorate in combating sports fanaticism from the American University and is also involved in business management. His reputation in the sports community extends not just through his reporting but also through gestures like these that reflect both generosity and a strong personal interest in the region's evolving football culture.
