Latto Says Her ‘Body Count' Lyrics Aren't ‘That Deep': Just ‘Don't Let Everybody Put Their Hand in That Cookie Jar, Period'
Latto doesn't think fans should take her lyrics about body count that seriously.
The Atlanta rapper recently made an appearance on Complex's 360 With Speedy Morman, where she was asked about the debate she spurred online about how many sexual partners a woman has, between her past lyrics and an appearance on TheTylilShow Live.

'Be a boss. Don't let everybody put their hand in that cookie jar, period,' she said in reference to having too many sexual partners. 'It's literally not that deep. I'm pushing, like, 'Be a boss. Don't let everybody have access to you.'' She then added that her view on body count also applies to men. 'I think men should be like that too. Y'all just be slangin' that mother—-er around.'
Speedy then asked why she felt proud about having a low body count, after she claimed that she never said having multiple partners were a bad thing.
'It's not necessarily like a number that I'm proud of,' Latto responded. 'It's more so, everybody ain't touched this, everybody ain't had their hands on this mother—-er, you feel me?'
The 'body count' drama started when Latto and her younger sister Brooklyn were making a social video to promote her single 'Somebody' and Latto asked Tylil if he cared how many partners his girlfriend has had. 'Do you care how many bodies your girl got?' she asked before the popular streamer replied with, 'Nah, hell no, that don't got nothing to do with me' and asked why she always mentions body count in her raps and if she thinks fans believe her. 'I don't give a f— if they believe me; my n—a believe me,' she fired back.
Latto has mentioned body count on songs like 'Sunday Service' and 'Somebody,' where she raps, respectively, 'Anyway, body count so low, I might say I'm a virgin' and 'I don't care about your bodies.'
Elsewhere in the conversation, Latto was asked about her net worth reportedly being $5 million, and while she claimed that specific number is off, she also said having money isn't as fun as some might think.
'It's kinda boring,' she said after being asked what it feels like to be able to buy whatever she wants. 'For me? I was a millionaire at 21, so you grow up fast already being in the industry at a young age, and then you get a lot of money at a young age too. I think I get the most fun spoiling everybody around me now. I spend more money on other people than I do myself. I be so stingy with my money for myself.'

Murderbot star Noma Dumezweni on the culture that's made her
Born in Swaziland before moving to England as a child, Noma Dumezweni is an actress whose prolific career spans theatre, film and television. She recently starred as Queen Selina in Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, with other film credits including Mary Poppins Returns. On the small screen, Dumezweni has appeared in Only Murders in the Building, The Watcher, Normal People and Doctor Who. On stage, she played Hermione in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which won her a Laurence Olivier award for best supporting actress, and she has performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company. In 2006, she won the Olivier Award for her performance in A Raisin in the Sun. Dumezweni is currently in Apple TV+'s sci-fi series Murderbot opposite Alexander Skarsgård, based on Martha Wells' books about a security android who is horrified by human emotion, yet drawn to its vulnerable 'clients'. I'm currently listening to the Ezra Collective album Where I'm Meant To Be. I still have to catch up with more recent releases. They give me so much joy – to my ear, they are so creatively free, beautiful! The book that influenced me the most is Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Süskind. I felt such a revelation in my own awareness of my senses. It's the history of the making of perfumes and a stunning perspective on how we humans, in all our rancid and sublime emanations, wish to connect. I'm currently reading All Fours by Miranda July. I actually paused for a few weeks as I am a postmenopausal woman… ha! The book cause a lot of feelings to come up. She's excellent. I am also loving Sonny Boy by Al Pacino. I have many favourite films. Spy with Melissa McCarthy is my screen comfort food! Rose Byrne is magnificent, Peter Serafinowicz is ridiculously out there, and I have to bow down to Jason Statham's brilliant commitment, playing with the glorious comedy genius that is McCarthy. I also loved the film There's Still Tomorrow from writer, actor, director and comedian Paola Cortellesi. I went down a rabbit hole finding out more about this Italian talent. Brava! I'm currently watching Matlock with the great Kathy Bates alongside a stunning newcomer, Skye P Marshall. The best hotel room in the world is at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mexico City. I went for the first time last year for a wedding, and I get it now! My favourite building is somewhere along London's South Bank, depending on the light. This year, I'm looking forward to my kid finishing their high-school journey. What's next is so exciting! Murderbot begins when she finishes, so we'll watch together. If I could have designed one thing it would have been the Citymapper app – wherever you travel, it's so brilliant. If I could bring back one trend it would be looking people in the eye; acknowledging their presence with a simple 'hey' or nod as they pass you by. People more often seem shocked when I smile and say 'hello'. It brings them into the present. We need that.

Mexican band Grupo Firme cancels U.S. appearance over visa processing
May 31 (UPI) -- A popular Mexican band named Grupo Firme was scheduled to play the La Onda Fest on Sunday, but it has canceled due to work visa-processing issues. The festival is being held in Napa Valley, Calif., but the Tijuana-based band said its work visas are in an "administrative process" that won't enable its members to participate in the festival, Billboard reported on Saturday. "The visas of Grupo Firme and the team of Music VIP are in an administrative process by the U.S. Embassy, a situation that makes it impossible for Grupo Firme to perform at La Onda Fest as planned," the musical group posted on social media. "We regret any inconvenience this may cause," the band said. "We appreciate your understanding and, above all, the love from our fans in the U.S." The band intends to perform again in the United States, but the visa-processing issue is stopping it from doing so at the moment. A spokesperson for the U.S. embassy in Mexico told Billboard that visa records are confidential and staff cannot and will not discuss individual cases. The band is not the only Mexican musical act to encounter visa issues. Singer Julion Alvarez postponed a sold-out show scheduled May 24 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, USA Today reported. His band, Julion Alvarez y su Norteno Banda, sold nearly all of the 50,000 tickets for the concert. Alvarez, 42, learned his visa had been canceled, and it would be impossible to perform the next day. Promoter CMN and the Copar Music record company said they will reschedule the concert. Ticketholders have the option of getting a refund or using their tickets if the event is rescheduled.
