Ruth Langsford takes mischievous jab at Eamonn Holmes on Loose Women
The former star presenting couple, who were axed from This Morning in 2020, had been together since 1996. They were married in 2010 and have a son.
Langsford, who previously made a painful admission about the split, joked with her co-presenters Myleene Klass, Linda Robson, and Denise Welch about Holmes' parenting skills.
During a discussion about childbirth and midwifery, Langsford reflected on the birth of their son Jack and claimed: 'Eamonn did what he could,' which prompted laughter from Klass.
Langsford explained of her labour: 'My midwife Maria, who sadly passed, we remained friends, she came to Jack's birthday parties when he was young.
'I just remember feeling that Maria and I birthed Jack... I mean Eamonn was there and he did what he could in that moment.'
When her co-presenters and a few audience members started laughing, Langsford added: 'No no, he did.'
She continued: 'At that moment, I was relying on her. You know, when you have your eyes closed. I could hear her talking, going, 'Keep on, another breath.'
'I just remember focusing on her voice and her face that really got me through. I was a new mum, I didn't know what I was doing and she had birthed so many babies.'
It comes after Langsford opened up about her 'painful split' from Eamonn Holmes earlier this month.
Speaking to Women & Home magazine, the 64-year-old said that she had lost weight and added: 'You can let yourself crumble or you pick yourself up and get on with life. It's a choice.'
'I'm not delighted my marriage is over, but I've accepted it. I'm trying to now embrace the fact I'm single and can make choices that are just about me.
'Divorce is very painful. Most don't do it in the public eye, with everybody having an opinion. But that's the nature of my job. I've always had that and if you can't cope, you shouldn't be doing this job.'
In November 2020, the pair were left 'furious' after being axed from This Morning i n favour of Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary. They had hosted the ITV daytime series's Friday episode since 2006.
Langsford remained with ITV, and regularly features on Loose Women as a host – but former GM:TV host Holmes moved to GB News, where he hosts a breakfast show.

Brookside child star unrecognisble 22 years after soap exit and where you have seen him recently
Former Brookside child star Jack McMullen is a world away from the Channel 4 soap in a popular BBC series Channel 4 soap Brookside is finally returning to television screens twenty years after the show was axed, but there is a totally unexpected twist. As part of Hollyoaks ' 30th anniversary celebration this year, there'll be a special episode combining with Brookside. Running from 1982 to 2003, Brookside was Sir Phil Redmond's first soap and laid the foundation for the kind of storytelling Hollyoaks would later adopt. Brookside star Jack McMullen made his name over two decades ago when he played Josh McLoughlin in the soap. The character was famously born after a one-night stand between Mike Dixon (Paul Byatt) and his stepmother, Bev (Sarah White). The messy situation escalated when Ron Dixon (Vince Earl) wanted to adopt the youngster, but his son Mike prevented it. Eventually, Ron and Bev got married, and Josh took the Dixon surname, before the trio moved away to start a new life. After waving goodbye to Brookside in 2003, child star Jack went on to carve out a very successful acting career in television. The actor, now 34, landed the role of Tigger Johnson in the iconic kids' show Grange Hill, which he starred in for four years. Two years later, he landed another regular part in a major drama, this time as Finn Sharkey in the BBC's Waterloo Road. In more recent years, he's bagged a number of hard-hitting roles, including jail drama Time, and the dramatisation of real-life tragedy Little Boy Blue. Most recently, he starred as Jamie Phelan in the hit BBC drama This City Is Ours opposite Sean Bean and James Nelson-Joyce. In 2023, Jack starred as Lewis in the Apple TV series Hijack, which stars Idris Elba in the main role. Jack's has also starred in The F1rst Team, The Souvenir, Le Mans '66, Screw, and Dead Shot. Will Jack return to Brookside for the forthcoming Hollyoaks crossover? The special episode of Brookside will be filmed on location at what used to be Brookside Close in Liverpool, a residential area. It's not just the location making an appearance; some classic characters are set to return. It's currently unconfirmed if Jack will step back into Josh's shoes 22 years leaving the show.

The Home review – Pete Davidson gets spooky with retirement-facility horror
In this retirement home horror, Pete Davidson plays Max, a graffiti artist who must work in a plush-yet-spooky facility as part of his community service. This deal is worked out by his foster father as a last-ditch effort to keep him out of prison; he's been spiralling towards the drain since the death of his older foster brother, who apparently killed himself, and whose memory haunts Max's dreams. You don't cast Davidson for his everyman qualities as he's not quite your average Joe; he's much more plausible as, say, a TikTok star or a charismatic drug dealer. He's also become something of an avatar for youth, one of those thirtysomethings that can credibly evoke the sensibilities of those more than 10 years his junior. It makes sense, then, to see him in this role as the one relatively young person at the retirement home, grumbling: 'Best generation my fucking dick … fucking boomers.' Regrettably, though, The Home doesn't have the requisite spark or internal logic needed to really tick along to a satisfying conclusion. It has plenty of would-be arresting imagery and icky scares, many of which rely on a physical gerontophobia not unusual in horror films, wherein the spectacle of age itself is held to be inherently revolting. Moreover, as a theme, ageing offers some wide-open horror goals for a society in which politicians in their 70s and 80s mire future generations in inequality, the climate crisis and war. The Home, though, is more interested in a cool kill shot and can't quite decide if the condition of being old lends itself more to creating monsters or victims. This may have been pitched as 'Get Out but with age' (and there's a final 10-minute sequence that was worth signing up for alone), but there's none of the consistency of vision or theme achieved by Jordan Peele's modern horror classic. The Home is on digital platforms from 22 August

Inside Katie Price's first Mucky Mansion which was 'cramped' and littered in rubbish
Katie Price vacated her £2 million sprawling Sussex family home last year following bankruptcy but long before she lived in a cramped bungalow alongside a pal. Katie Price and Peter Andre have been at loggerheads recently following a very public spat. Last week, after Katie made calls for a ceasefire in tensions between her and her ex, Peter released a scathing statement to fans which revealed that kids Junior and Princess have been in his custody for years . Katie then retaliated by releasing her own statement, and saying she won't be "gaslighted" anymore. Princess Andre, 18, who stars in new ITV reality show The Princess Diaries, has stated that the feud between her mum and dad doesn't bother her as she loves them both. Responding to a fan's query on social media last week about whether their spats affect her, she said: "To be honest it doesn't. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don't even have any memory of them being together." Further drama now surrounds the family, after an explosive clip was released by mum-of-five Katie's ex Alex Reid yesterday, in which Katie can be seen calling Pete's two children with wife Emily "irrelevant" and telling Princess she couldn't pay her school fees as she counted wads of cash, despite being bankrupt for a second time. As Princess enquired if Katie would be contributing towards hers and Junior's private school costs, Katie said: "Your dad can sit on that," while raising her middle finger. Meanwhile, during promos for her new reality show, which launched last week, Princess said she thought her mum's infamous Mucky Mansion was a "really scary" place to call home in a heartbreaking admission. Discussing life at the Mucky Mansion, which was showcased in Katie's reality DIY programme on Channel 4, Princess confessed to The Guardian: "It was a really scary house. A lot went on there. So I didn't really like it." The teenager was raised in the sprawling Sussex property following Katie's split from Peter. Katie vacated the £2million West Sussex home last year following her second bankruptcy declaration and acknowledged that she also "hated" residing there. Looking back on life in the crumbling home with her mother and siblings, Princess added: "I guess when you have bad experiences somewhere you don't like the place." Katie's first pad in the public eye was featured in a 2002 BBC documentary called Jordan: The Truth About Me. Despite having a £150,000 contract with the Daily Star at the time and being in a relationship with footballer Dwight York back in 2001, Katie was living in a rundown Brighton bungalow with her pal Sally. Let's take a closer look inside the cramped and littered property she shared with her friend in the early 2000s...
