Why does Jin think BTS members have 'changed a lot' after military? Super Tuna singer opens up on new food habits

BTS member Jin is presently touring the United States as part of his RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR. In between his two-day concerts in Anaheim, he took the opportunity to connect with his fans via a Weverse live on July 18. During then, he shared that he recently met up with his fellow BTS members, who are currently in LA. Jin also shared his observations about the changes he noticed in them, particularly with regard to their food habits. Jin feels that the BTS members' food habits have drastically changed after military discharge As per Jin, RM, SUGA, Jimin, V and Jungkook seemed different from their usual selves, since their June 2025 military discharge. The oldest BTS member's observant self didn't miss that his teammates' dietary habits "changed a lot." He said, "They check the calories of the food while eating, like 'how many hundreds of calories is this?'" Comparing their behavior to himself, the Super Tuna singer shared that he stopped checking calorie intake long back and thought it was the same for the other members as well. However, besides being stunned at their transformation, he was delighted as well. Why? Because the BTS members kept savouring all the food items while discussing the calories they contained. "It wasn't like they weren't eating while saying all this; they ate everything as they said it but it was fascinating," Jin mentioned. As hilarious as it sounds, this is what BTS is actually like! Besides being a talented K-pop boy band, they're a lovable bunch of goofballs who have won over the hearts of millions. Jin referred to BTS members as "babies" Jin still has the older brother-like affection towards his fellow teammates, as he habitually called them "our babies" during the livestream. He said, "They seemed healthy mentally and physically. They were having fun while laughing amongst themselves." Fans raved about the group's strong bond, remarking on how their camaraderie remained unchanged despite time apart due to military service and solo endeavors. An X-user commented, "It's so heartwarming to hear Jin talk about his babies. They'll always be his babies."

BLACKPINK beats BTS' Dynamite and Take Two with JUMP, becomes FIRST K-pop group with 3 Spotify Global No. 1 hits

BLACKPINK is once again proving their unmatched global power, this time with their digital single JUMP. It's released on July 11, 2025. The song has skyrocketed to the top of the Spotify Global Chart, creating a sensation across the music world. Just one day after its release, JUMP claimed the No. 1 spot on Spotify's global ranking. It joins Pink Venom and Shut Down as the group's third track to top the chart. BLACKPINK now stands alone as the K-pop group with the most No. 1 hits on the Spotify Global Chart. It's a feat no other Korean group has accomplished, not even the previously reigning BTS. BLACKPINK surpasses BTS and joins global female icons With JUMP adding to their Spotify legacy, BLACKPINK officially overtakes BTS. The boys previously led with two No. 1 songs: Dynamite and Take Two. BLACKPINK's total now stands at three. This solidifies their position as the most-streamed K-pop group in Spotify's history. Their global recognition doesn't stop there. BLACKPINK's trio of No. 1 hits has also earned them a spot among the top female artists with the most chart-topping songs on the platform. They now share the fourth position with international pop powerhouses Rihanna, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sabrina Carpenter. Only three artists stand ahead: Billie Eilish with 6 No. 1s, Ariana Grande with 8, and Taylor Swift leading with 12. BLACKPINK's JUMP becomes second-longest K-pop No. 1 on Spotify As of July 17, JUMP has now held the top spot on the Spotify Global Chart for five consecutive days, racking up over 6.579 million daily streams. This makes it the second-longest-running No. 1 single by a K-pop group. It surpassed their own Pink Venom, which stayed at No. 1 for three days. Even BTS' V and Taylor Swift couldn't save The Summer I Turned Pretty's ‘cringe' start, with Belly and Jeremiah's ‘frustrating' chemistry

The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3's first two episodes were frustratingly painful to sit through. After waiting for four years and watching Belly (Lola Tung) still torn between the Fisher brothers felt like a slap. The new season is out, and there's absolutely nothing new. Same old triangle, same worn-out drama, just wrapped in a shinier, college setup. Based on Jenny Han's novel and hyped as one of the most anticipated summer shows, it had Taylor Swift's hits blaring and even summoned the K-pop crowd with BTS' Kim Taehyung on the soundtrack, but seems like those tracks might be the only thing worth talking about. Spoilers ahead. Also read: The Summer I Turned Pretty S3: Makers warn 'heartbreaking' finale as Belly Conrad's story diverges from the Book Season 3 picks up with a time jump, longer than anyone expected. We're now four years ahead. Belly's in her junior year at Finch College, still dating Jeremiah, which was teased in the promos too. Meanwhile, Conrad's sort of out of the picture, he's at Stanford, studying medicine, trying to move on while still dealing with his mom's death and the whole Belly fallout. Team Conrad might've been happy at first with this development, but the way Belly handled things made it too cringe to even fathom. She finds out Jeremiah cheated on her during spring break in Cabo. He pulls the classic 'we were on a break' card (Must be watching Ross-Rachel FRIENDS playbook on loop). One thinks they're still together, the other's off doing their own thing. But here's where it gets more frustrating. He didn't just cheat once, but twice. Thankfully, the show threw in some screentime for other characters too, Taylor and Steven (Belly's best friend and her brother), still trying to figure out whatever it is they're doing. Steven gets into an accident, he is hospitalised, and that's when Belly forgives Jeremiah. And right there, outside the hospital, with absolutely no effort, no ring, no build-up, no logic, he proposes. And she says yes. Book readers are left horrified. The rushed pacing, What was the point? Also read: The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 teaser: 5 subtle clues you might have missed hinting at Belly and Conrad's future We get it, the show is trying to explore mature themes with college, adulthood, heartbreak, but everyone still acts like they're stuck in high school. Even the dialouges are flat. The decisions are abrupt. And worst of all, nothing feels earned. We're being told that Belly and Jeremiah are in love, but their chemistry is completely missing, and at this point, we can just hope she ends up choosing the right brother. Speaking of the characters, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney (Jeremiah and Conrad) look good, but aren't given much to do beyond posing and reacting. Yes, the tracks. We're obsessed. Every song hits right where it should. Taylor Swift, BTS' V, Lana Del Rey, Cranberries, Chapel Roan, all fire. Taehyung's 'FRI(END)S' feels like a breath of fresh air as it sets up the whole Taylor-Steven vibe, while Taylor's You're Losing Me plays right when Belly finds out about Jeremiah's cheating, couldn't have been more fitting. Even the costumes stand out, subtle but detailed, and they do their part in telling the story.
