Vera Wang shows off her age-defying looks in a black mini dress as she celebrates 76th birthday with chic family dinner in Paris
Vera Wang marked her 76th birthday over the weekend and once again showed off her age-defying looks during her chic celebrations.
The fashion designer shared Instagram photos of her dinner party at Le Relais Plaza in Paris, where she looked gorgeous in a black mini dress.
Celebrating with friends and family, Vera blew out candles on her cake after a lavish dinner, as she gushed in the caption that it was 'a SMALLISH CAKE for yet another BIG BIRTHDAY….'
Vera also posted snaps of her gifts from loved ones which included candy, Prada homeware, caviar and multiple bouquets of flowers.
The designer has always spoken candidly about her approach to aging, previously declaring she finds ageism 'so old-fashioned' and adding that in life, 'you have to try and continue to grow in one way or another'.
In a 2022 interview with BBC 100 Women, Vera said her 'magic elixir' for staying youthful is work.
She continues to work as chief creative officer of her fashion empire, which encompasses bridal wear, ready-to-wear fashion, accessories, fragrances, and homeware.
Vera has been working in the fashion industry since the age of 18.
At 23, she made history as the youngest-ever fashion editor at Vogue, but it wasn't until nearly 20 years later that she launched her namesake fashion label.
She started her own company at the age of 40 and revealed she felt 'very lucky' to have built her own empire.
However, perhaps more powerful than work is her approach to beauty - which is not to take it too seriously.
Amazingly, she's also praised her diet for youthful looks - claiming the secret is vodka, McDonald's and donuts.
'I do eat McDonald's, absolutely, I order it every day, like two weeks on it, and then I'll change,' she told Page Six last year.
The wedding dress designer also admitted she enjoys Dunkin' Donuts, sharing: 'I like the cream-filled, sugar-coated donut.
'It's like a jelly donut, but it's cream inside, vanilla cream. I like the pink with sprinkles, too.'
Apart from her nightly vodka cocktail, though, Wang said she only drinks water.
She gave up drinking Diet Coke in 2006, which she said was 'the hardest thing I ever gave up'.
However, the thing she won't compromise on in order to feel and look healthy is sleep. She told Page Six that she gets a minimum of eight hours of sleep a night, adding: 'I don't feel healthy unless I get eight.'
Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, when she was 73, she said: 'I think what happens sometimes as you age... I'm more frightened about physical disabilities... not all this.
'I'm not totally preoccupied with how I look. I love my work, and I'm very passionate about my work, my friends, my daughters... I mean, I have a very full life.'

'Today is a Twitter national holiday,' someone joked about the post, while another said, 'Happy women will be having more sex than robots in 2025 tweet day!' 'The people yearn for the robot sex,' a comment read. 'We are ready!' another quipped. 'Today marks nine years since it was reported that, by now, women would be having "more sex with robots than men." Still hasn't happened,' a user observed. 'Only six months remaining and yet I don't see where the robots are???' someone else shared. 'Meanwhile, women are in fact NOT having sex with robots. Men, however, are proposing to robots and AI chatbots,' someone argued. 'The funny part is is that men are actually having sex with robots (sexting Chat GBT),' another wrote, while someone else said, 'Instead of robots, we are having sex with AI.' 'How much trust would you place in artificial intelligence for your most personal concerns?' the team wrote in a blog. 'A recent ZipHealth survey of 1,000 people reveals surprising attitudes about AI's growing role in relationships, from diagnosing sexual health issues to replacing human companionship.' For the study, ZipHealth surveyed 1,000 people with an average age of 40. Fifty-four percent were male, 44 percent were female, and two percent were non-binary. The results revealed that one in four respondents said they would be comfortable with their partner being intimate with a sex robot modeled after themselves. Men were considerably more likely than women to think this was ok. However, two in five people said they'd consider it cheating if their partner was intimate with a bot - even if it looked like them.

Tim Davie must consider his position
The BBC says it should never have broadcast the vile rants of Bob Vylan at Glastonbury and should have cut the live stream when he started chanting 'death to the IDF'. So how did it happen? It has emerged that BBC director-general Tim Davie was himself at Glastonbury on Saturday afternoon and whilst ruling that the performance should not subsequently be available on demand, did not pull the livestream from iPlayer. Where were the protocols to ensure anti-Semitic political propaganda was not sent out unexpurgated on the airwaves, courtesy of the long-suffering licence-fee payer? And if such rules existed why were they not enforced by Mr Davie? The incident could not have come as a surprise. Glastonbury attracts all sorts of preening, self-absorbed nonentities who think they have a monopoly of moral and political rectitude. Surely someone at the BBC must have done their due diligence and suspected that an act like Bob Vylan, which revels in controversy, would land them in it. They knew of the risk because an on-screen warning was issued about the 'very strong and discriminatory language'. At the very least, BBC executives should have insisted upon a delay allowing editors to switch coverage to another act in the event of a nauseating stunt of the sort we witnessed on Saturday. The Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy told MPs she wanted to know why this act was broadcast live by the BBC and the feed was not cut. 'I want explanations,' she said. Now that we know that Mr Davie was intimately involved in this disastrous episode he must consider his own position.

'But fans will recall a lot of the dates took place in hot, sunny climes abroad, and producers want to recapture some of the steamy fun, and expand upon that. 'Even the wedding element has hints of the old show because the dream was always that the dates on the programme would lead to couples tying the knot.'
