Archana Puran Singh's car stopped by Salman Khan's security outside Kapil Sharma Show's set; Bhai reveals he watches her vlogs

Indian Express5 hours ago

Back from her family vacation in Switzerland, Archana Puran Singh was back at work on The Great Indian Kapil Show. The comedy series returned for a third season recently, with Salman Khan appearing as the special guest on the season premiere episode. On Tuesday, Archana took to her YouTube channel and posted a behind-the-scenes vlog from the show's set in Film City. The vlog also featured her husband Parmeet Sethi, and their two sons, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan. They were accompanied by Archana's assistant, Bhagyashree, for whom they planned a surprise meeting with Salman. They kept this a secret from her, telling her that duplicates would be present instead.
On the way to Film City, Archana remarked that even her car was stopped by the extra security personnel for Salman. The superstar showed up on set, surrounded by several guards. Salman's security was beefed up in the wake of numerous threats made to his life by gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. But he seemed to be in good spirits as he interacted with Kapil warmly. Meanwhile, Archana took her seat next to Navjot Singh Sidhu, who used to be a fixture on the show before she took over the position.

In the vlog, Archana's family documented the behind-the-scenes activity on set, showing the control room. 'This looks like a NASA operation,' Parmeet remarked. Meanwhile, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan fought each other over the Netflix goodie bag that a production assistant presented to Archana. They ripped open the wrapping and declared which items would go to whom. On the set, they kept recording Bhagyashree's reactions as Salman made an appearance, and she realised that he wasn't a dupe.
After the shoot, Salman hung back to interact with guests and other cast members. Archana introduced him to her sons, who said that they recently watched Andaz Apna Apna again in theatres. Salman told them that he has seen some of their vlogs, including the one featuring Sudesh Lehri. They were honoured. Later, they also interacted with Sidhu, who was shocked at how closely Aayushmaan resembles Parmeet. The family ended the vlog by returning to Archana's lavish vanity van.

'K-pop Demon Hunters' has BTS' DNA? Netflix anime film traced back to Bangtan boys' iconic COVID-19 virtual concert

Netflix's recently released K-pop Demon Hunters is gaining global attention, with everyone talking about everything from the characters' visuals to the catchy soundtrack. In light of all the love and excitement the animated film is receiving, directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans have opened up about the inspiration behind the concept. Director Maggie Kang emphasized how deeply the film is rooted in the global influence of Korean culture. "This film is inspired by the enormous influence Korean culture has had in entertainment - K-pop, Korean movies, dramas. It's the first animated film set in modern Korea to explore that culture. All the voice actors and vocalists are Korean talent, which makes it even more meaningful," she said according to Naver. She added, "It's been a dream of mine since I first started working. Sharing this with the cast has been incredibly rewarding. While making the film, I was so touched to hear from artists who weren't familiar with Korean culture or K-pop say they still deeply connected with the characters and music. It reminded me why we make these films - because stories transcend background or language. We all have insecurities, we all seek connection." Is 'K-pop Demon Hunters' related to BTS? Co-director Chris Appelhans also shared that the idea for the film was born during the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic. "Maggie and I began planning this film during the pandemic—a time when people all over the world were struggling to feel connected. Then BTS held an online concert, and suddenly millions of people, including us, were singing and dancing to Dynamite from our homes. For a moment, the world felt a little brighter." That moment became a creative catalyst. "We wanted to make something fun, trendy, and packed with action - everything you'd expect from a film like K-Pop Demon Hunters. But I also wanted to capture that rare feeling when a powerful song touches your heart, drowns out the noise, and even silences the demons inside us." Appelhans closed with a heartfelt wish: "Through the characters' journeys and the songs they sing, I hope viewers can feel even a fraction of the joy and light BTS gave us during that time." More about 'K-pop Demon Hunters' The animated film follows Huntricks, a K-pop girl group who secretly battle evil spirits using their voices, and their rivals, Lion Boys - idols made entirely of dark forces. This unique twist on K-pop idol culture has struck a chord with audiences worldwide. Featuring high-energy tracks like Golden, Soda Pop, and Takedown, the film blends K-pop style with traditional Korean elements. Its fresh concept and cultural depth have earned it critical acclaim, including a 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Squid Game goes from Netflix to Hollywood! Mr Beast's video, The Challenge, David Fincher's work among adaptations

Squid Game season 3 is the final season of Netflix's runaway hit series that focuses on a deadly game that protagonist Seong Gi-Hun gets roped into after his dire life circumstances leave him tempted by the opportunity. However, the series has already become a pop culture phenomenon, being one of Netflix's biggest success stories not just in South Korea, but also worldwide. Therefore it should come as no surprise that there have already been multiple attempts to adapt the premise to other formats including a YouTube recreation, a Netflix game show, and a currently in-production Hollywood adaptation. Let's take a look at the three. Mr Beast's Squid Game video I now have every game from Squid Game built in real life :) One of the first major adaptations of Squid Game's premise came from Mr Beast, the biggest channel on YouTube, who posted an unofficial recreation of Squid Game after the release of the first season. The video, uploaded on 25 November 2021, recreated many of the iconic challenges of the Squid Game series, with contestants being invited to compete for a $456,000 cash prize. Mr. Beast has since continued organizing game shows, with him signing a high-profile contract with Amazon Prime in 2024 to launch his own game show series known as Beast Games. Netflix's Squid Game: The Challenge After Mr. Beast, it was Netflix's turn to make Squid Game into their own reality show. Squid Game: The Challenge was produced in the United Kingdom by Studio Lambert and The Garden, and had 456 contestants play the various challenges for a shot at winning a cash prize of $4.56 million. The first season of Squid Game: The Challenge aired from 22nd November 2023 to 6th December of the same year. Shortly before the first season finale, Netflix confirmed that a second season of the reality game show had been greenlit. David Fincher's Squid Game David Fincher's 'SQUID GAME' series will be set in America.(Source: Deadline) Squid Game is set to have a Hollywood live-action adaptation helmed by David Fincher, as reported by Deadline on October 2024. The project is still relatively early in development, so exact details on the production are sparse. However, given that the original Squid Game's finale is fast approaching, it's entirely possible that Netflix might promote David Fincher's work next to continue the franchise.

Salman Khan's poster in Kareena Kapoor Khan's bathroom was replaced by THIS actor's poster, reveals Bhaijaan; watch

Jun 24, 2025 05:05 PM IST Last weekend, Bollywood's Bhaijaan Salman Khan graced Kapil Sharma's comedy show. He had a gala time and made the first episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show season 3 even more special for audiences. The highlight was when Sunil Grover entered the set dressed as Salman Khan, leaving the superstar in splits. Well, much to our delight, comedy king Kapil has now unveiled some unfiltered fun that the team had on set in a 'Bacha Hua Content' video from the episode. In this viral video, Salman reveals how he was once shown a poster of himself in actor Kareena Kapoor Khan's bathroom. Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan Yes, you read that right. Kareena Kapoor Khan was also a big fan of Salman Khan's, like most of the country! In the 'Bacha Hua Content' video, when Kapil Sharma asked if Salman had seen his poster somewhere weird while travelling, the actor revealed, 'Kaafi time pehle ki baat thi yeh, dekha hai ya suna hai, haan dikhaya gaya tha mujhe. Kareena Kapoor ke bathroom mein. Ghar gaya tha toh bathroom ka darwaza khol ke dikhaya tha. Jab woh I think she was about 8-9 years old, was a fan. Ab jaise 15-16 saal ki ho gayi toh wahan pe Rahul Roy ka poster aa gaya.' Back in 2019, Kareena herself admitted that actor Rahul Roy was her first crush and she had watched his film Aashiqui (1990) 8 times in the theatre. Interestingly, we also came across a throwback clip from an episode of Salman's game show 10 Ka Dum, which premiered in 2009, where Salman first told the story of his poster in Kareena's bathroom. In this episode, Kareena and her sister Karisma Kapoor had joined Bhaijaan as contestants. In this old clip, Salman reveals how Kareena tore his poster and replaced it with Rahul's poster after Aashiqui released. Bebo, on the other hand, replied, 'But at least main honest hun.' This was definitely a fun anecdote!
