Tom Brady says public jokes about Gisele Bündchen damaged his kids and left him shattered

Tom Brady may be retired from the NFL, but the pressure hasn't let up—especially when it comes to parenting in the spotlight. In a raw and revealing interview on the Impaulsive podcast, the legendary quarterback got candid about the emotional aftermath of his controversial Netflix roast and the impact it had on his children.
Brady, now juggling his Las Vegas Raiders minority ownership and public life post-retirement, is also navigating the personal consequences of fame with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.
Tom Brady opens up about how the roast jokes hurt his kids
Brady shared that he underestimated how deeply the roast would affect his children. While jokes like Nikki Glaser's jab—'You have seven rings… well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back'—drew laughs from the crowd, the NFL icon said it was no laughing matter the next day.
"It was tough on my kids for sure... I felt like a stake through the heart when I talked to my kids the next day," Brady admitted.

He acknowledged that while he can handle public mockery, his children shouldn't have to bear the emotional burden that comes with it. 'You don't know what to expect, and I love laughing at myself... but for my kids, that was really hard.'
This moment of self-awareness struck a chord with listeners and parents alike.

Brady's willingness to speak openly about these challenges showed a human side of the champion rarely seen on the field.
No manual for parenting—especially in the public eye
Brady didn't shy away from admitting mistakes. Reflecting on the broader picture of parenting, he said: 'There are some things as a parent you f*** up and you don't realize until after. We're not perfect parents. There's no perfect manual for it.'
This statement resonated with fans who have followed Brady's career closely but may now relate to his experiences in a new way—through the lens of fatherhood under scrutiny.
While Brady deals with the fallout of the roast, Gisele Bündchen is charting her own path of personal wellness. Recently featured on the cover of Vogue France, she spoke about the deeper meaning of health: "To me, wellness goes far beyond physical health. It's not just about what you eat or how you move; it's also about how you feel, think, and live."

And while their lives have taken different directions, both continue to grow—publicly and privately.

Did you know Gulshan Devaiah eats just one meal a day to stay lean and healthy at 47?
Gulshan Devaiah , the talented actor known for his work in films like 'Dahaad', and 'Hunterrr' celebrated his 47th birthday on May 28. What makes his fitness routine stand out is his unusual diet, he eats just one meal a day. In a June 2024 interview with CNN-News18, Gulshan opened up about how the One Meal a Day (OMAD) diet helps him keep a lean body and stay healthy. Why Gulshan chose the OMAD diet The 'Dum Maaro Dum' actor explained why he started this strict eating plan back in 2018. He said, 'Mostly I eat once a day; I say mostly because it's not every day, but I try and be as consistent with it as much as possible. So, I would say 300 out of 365 days I would eat one meal a day.' He found it hard to keep his eating habits steady before. 'I was finding it very difficult to be consistent with my eating habits because most of us eat more than what is really necessary for us. And then that ends up in some weight gain and some other health problems... I was finding it very difficult to maintain a certain ideal weight and look... it's (OMAD) not for everybody but I think I really like it because I don't really like to be on diets. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo ' Gulshan likes that OMAD lets him eat the foods he enjoys. 'So this way I'm able to eat foods that I enjoy, but also because I eat mostly once a day, how much will I eat? So it automatically restricts portions.' The challenge of getting enough nutrients Eating just one meal a day is not without its challenges. The 'Shaitan' actor admitted, 'That is a challenge. You have to eat a variety of different types of foods.' He shared a common mistake he made at first, 'The one common mistake that I made initially was, when I'm working during the day, I eat my meal after I'm done, so that's almost like half an hour before going to bed. That sometimes would cause me a little bit of acidity in the morning.' To fix this, he had to change what he ate. 'So, I had to also cut out certain types of foods... I have to keep switching between foods and include different vegetables and fruits and keep changing them seasonally, which I was not very good at doing.' Despite his best efforts, Gulshan faces some vitamin shortages. 'So, I would have some deficiencies, vitamin deficiencies, for which I would take vitamin supplements... my D3 is usually on the lower side because I don't consume a lot of dairy products.' Sticking to the routine most days The 'Guns & Gulaabs' actor tries to be consistent with his one meal a day plan. Eating one meal on about 300 days a year shows his dedication. While it's not every day, this routine helps him stay in shape and avoid the ups and downs of other diets. Why OMAD works for Gulshan Gulshan's approach to eating once a day is simple but effective. It helps him control how much he eats without feeling like he is on a strict diet. As he said, 'I don't really like to be on diets. So this way I'm able to eat foods that I enjoy, but also because I eat mostly once a day, how much will I eat? So it automatically restricts portions.' This natural portion control is what keeps his weight in check and helps him maintain a lean look. Sara Ali Khan teases Ibrahim Ali Khan as they take his rumoured girlfriend Palak Tiwari out for a movie. Watch
Actors Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, and Palak Tiwari had a movie night out in Mumbai on Thursday. The trio quickly dodged photos and entered the theatre, sparking speculation about a possible romance between Ibrahim and Palak once again. Also read: Ibrahim Ali Khan's sweet gesture at Bhootnii premiere reignites dating rumours with Palak Tiwari. Watch Ibrahim was seen heading into a theatre in Mumbai's Juhu area on Thursday, accompanied by his sister Sara and Palak. In a video, which has surfaced on social media, Ibrahim was seen blushing as Sara and Palak approached him. In fact, it seems he was caught off guard by the paparazzi. He looked away nervously when he saw the photographers, avoiding the cameras. Sara was visibly amused by the same and playfully teased her younger brother Ibrahim as he stood by, sporting a shy smile. On the other hand, Ibrahim kept his eyes on the elevator doors, clearly trying to avoid the cameras. A post shared by Viral Bhayani (@viralbhayani) Once it opened, the three quietly stepped in, keeping their backs to the photographers. After watching the movie, Ibrahim, Sara and Palak left in the same car. Ibrahim was in the driver's seat. This isn't the first time the trio has been spotted hanging out together. They were previously seen vacationing in Goa. For quite some time, Ibrahim was rumoured to have been dating Shweta Tiwari and Raja Chaudhary's daughter, Palak Tiwari. Ibrahim recently addressed the dating rumours in an interview with Filmfare and clarified whether they were more than just friends. He was asked if he could 'talk about a certain Miss Palak Tiwari', but he seemed wary of addressing it or going into too much detail. He said, 'She's a good friend. Yeah, she's sweet. That's all." Ibrahim and Palak have been spotted together numerous times in public, and it was even rumoured that they vacationed together in the Maldives and Goa. Palak has also maintained in interviews that they're friends. Palak was last seen in film Bhootnii, starring alongside Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, Sunny Singh, Aasif Khan, and Beyounick. Directed by Sidhaant Sachdev and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sanjay Dutt, the film was released earlier this month. Meanwhile, Ibrahim made his acting debut with Shauna Gautam's romantic comedy Nadaaniyan, which was released on Netflix. The film, which also starred Khushi Kapoor, was criticised for its subpar plot and acting. He has also shot for a film with Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
