Could Commanders' Jayden Daniels' 'Wild Trajectory' Lead To MVP In 2025?
Washington Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels has set the bar for 2025 ridiculously high after his rookie season.

A 12-5 regular season record, two playoff wins, an NFC Championship appearance, and winning Offensive Rookie of the Year, that is some season.
Now, with the NFL world knowing he's coming, can he replicate his feats? Or better yet, could he win the MVP award?
Yes, we know that is a stunningly high bar for a second-year quarterback, but that is what Daniels has in front of him in 2025, and he has the coaching staff and weapons around him to give it a serious nudge.
And Bleacher Report thinks he can win it.
"The 2024 No. 2 overall pick is riding a wild trajectory after lighting up the league as a rookie," Bleacher Report writes. "Now, he has even more support and experience around him ahead of Year 2."

Now, Daniels' stats of 3,568 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and nine interceptions will have to improve, and if he can rush for roughly the same as he did last year (891 yards, six touchdowns), then he might be in the conversation.
But the biggest thing is the Commanders would have to keep winning. Another 12-win season is likely the floor, meaning he'll have the franchise in the playoffs, potentially as a high seed. That will also work in his favor.
However, we do have the dreaded sophomore slump theory dangling over him as he enters Year 2, so he would have to buck that trend, something C.J. Stroud failed to do last year.

Jayden has all the tools to continue his ascension in 2025, and if everything goes right, who knows, maybe there is an MVP win in there, too.

But on the verge of camp, has it struck anyone else just how little this offseason seemed to change the league's pecking order? The five teams with by far the best Super Bowl odds, per BetMGM, are the Eagles, Ravens, Bills, Chiefs and Lions. Four of those were also in the top five at this time last year. The only difference is the Bills more or less swapping places with the 49ers (second-best odds last year, now sixth). Dortmund leave Club World Cup hopeful for the future

Dortmund have generated more then €100 million ($118 million) from income at the tournament in the United States as well as the sale of players over the past weeks, led by Jamie Gittens' move to Chelsea for a reported €65 million. Advertisement Sporting director Sebastian Kehl said after Saturday's 3-2 quarter-final defeat against Real Madrid that at least part of the money will be reinvested. "Something will happen on the transfer market. We will definitely do something. We will make the team better than last year," Kehl said. Dortmund marketing managing director Carsten Cramer told dpa that "we do have a few advantages" but that they also "worked hard for them". That includes qualifying for the Club World Cup with its $1 billion prize money with good showings such as reaching the Champions League final in 2024.
