Hulk Hogan's distressing 911 call revealed as medics rush to WWE icon's home
Medics rushed to his house as they tried to save the wrestling star in the early hours of Thursday morning. Operators of the 911 call could be heard dispatching paramedics to the scene as they noted the matter was for a cardiac arrest.
Officials responded to the call at 9:51am, as Hulk received treatment from Clearwater Fire & Rescue before being taken to a nearby hospital. He died at the hospital, according to reports.
A "slew of police cars and EMTs were parked outside Hogan's home," before he was taken out on a stretcher, according to TMZ.
Hulk's death was confirmed by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), in a statement on X which read: 'WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.
'One of pop culture's most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan's family, friends, and fans.'
In his final Instagram video, Hulk made a promotional clip for Real American Beer where he sipped on the alcoholic beverage and encouraged his fans to try the patriotic beer.
"Real American beer, made in America, by real Americans," he said before taking a sip. "Get some brother. That's America brother," he added.
The wrestling world have begun reacting to the shock news of Hulk's death, as he's been hailed as "one of pop culture's most recognisable figures".
Ric Flair, who is a champion in wrestling like Hulk, paid tribute as he wrote online: ""I Am Absolutely Shocked To Hear About The Passing Of My Close Friend @HulkHogan!
"Hulk Has Been By My Side Since We Started In The Wrestling Business. An Incredible Athlete, Talent, Friend, And Father! Our Friendship Has Meant The World To Me. He Was Always There For Me Even When I Didn't Ask For Him To Be.
"He Was One Of The First To Visit Me When I Was In The Hospital With A 2% Chance Of Living, And He Prayed By My Bedside. Hulk Also Lent Me Money When Reid Was Sick. Hulkster, No One Will Ever Compare To You! Rest In Peace My Friend!"
Just weeks before Hulk's death, a representative for the WWE icon denied speculation he was gravely ill. In May, it was announced he'd undergone a small "fusion procedure" on his neck.
But in June, a YouTuber claimed that things were "not looking good" for him. Denying the speculation, a representative said that Hulk's surgery had been "successful" and there were "no reasons to panic." They added: "He just needs from time to time a medical check up."

WWE SummerSlam 2025 has split its card into two almost festival-like nights as fans make their way to the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Here's a brief history of the event, why it's become a two-night affair, matches confirmed and how to follow every last bit of action from your own home. The WWE's biggest summer party is upon us, as SummerSlam debuts as a two-night wrestling extravaganza this weekend! With an incredible array of matches confirmed so far, it has led some wrestling fans to wonder if this could eclipse WWE's Super Bowl, WrestleMania, which took place earlier this year. And with night two of the PLE culminating in championship matches, we're currently inclined to agree. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad But what is written down on paper sometimes loses itself in translation when executed. However, with huge surprises guaranteed and John Cena performing at this last SummerSlam before he retires from the business, there are high expectations for the event, and could we see an infamous double turn take place during Night Two's main event? The event this year also marks a significant moment for Netflix, as the two enterprises signed a deal late last year and this year's show marks the first time the 'Big Four' event will be screened on the streaming giant. Here's a brief history on the event, why it is considered part of the WWE's pantheon of 'Big Four' events, the all-important night splits of matches, and how you can watch all the action, from kick-off to post-show press conferences, at home in the UK this weekend Why is SummerSlam part of WWE's 'Big Four' annual events? John Cena marks his final SummerSlam appearance this weekend, as he defends the WWE Undisputed Championship in a street fight against former champion Cody Rhodes. | WWE/Netflix SummerSlam is without question one of WWE's "Big Four" annual events, a distinction it shares with WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad These four Premium Live Events have historically been the pillars of WWE's annual calendar, consistently featuring the biggest storylines, championship matches, and celebrity appearances. SummerSlam, in particular, has long been positioned as WWE's second-biggest event of the year, directly behind WrestleMania. This is due to its strategic placement in the summer, offering a crucial destination for major storyline payoffs and championship changes following the post-WrestleMania period. Having run annually since 1988, it boasts a rich history of iconic matches and moments that have shaped WWE lore, consistently generating significant revenue through ticket sales, merchandise, sponsorships, and broadcast deals, positioning it as a must-see spectacle. Why is SummerSlam taking place across two nights this year? This decision to expand SummerSlam to a two-night format follows the highly successful precedent set by WWE's flagship event, WrestleMania, which permanently adopted a two-night structure in 2020. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad There are several reasons behind the expansion: it enhances the fan experience by allowing for more matches and giving more Superstars a chance to perform on a grand stage, preventing individual nights from feeling excessively long. Of course, from a business perspective, two nights translate to increased revenue potential through additional ticket sales, merchandise, and viewership. Holding events in vast NFL stadiums, as SummerSlam has done since 2021, also makes a two-night format more feasible and profitable for filling such large venues. WWE's Chief Content Officer, Paul "Triple H" Levesque, has openly supported expanding major events, likening it to a "Disney" model where fans can fully immerse themselves in a "destination weekend," reflecting WWE's strategic ambition to elevate their Premium Live Events into even grander entertainment spectacles. What matches have (so far) been confirmed for SummerSlam and what night will they occur? The Masked Singer's Mo Gilligan accused of being 'deadbeat dad' by secret child's mother
Mo Gilligan from ITV The Masked Singer has been branded a 'deadbeat dad' by the mother of his 18-month-old son who he rarely sees Mo Gilligan has reportedly fathered a child in secret and now has another baby on the way. The Masked Singer star is currently preparing to welcome his first child with partner Taia Tulher, 28. While Mo, 37, is said to be thrilled about the upcoming arrival with his model girlfriend, the mother of his first child has publicly accused him of being a "deadbeat dad" as she claims he has little to no involvement in their son's life. Although the comedian never publicly announced becoming a father, it's believed he met 35-year-old model Selina Christoforou online, and the two went on to have a baby, the Mirror reports. A source told The Sun: "Mo met Selina after messaging her on social media and they hung out casually for a few months." The insider continued: "She found out she was pregnant in May 2023 and it was quite a shock for them both because they'd been fairly careful. But she wanted to have the baby, despite the fact they weren't actually a couple. "She adores their son and Mo sees him semi-regularly. Now he's about to become a dad for a second time and he's over the moon. He has been with Taia for quite a long time now and he feels ready to settle down." However, Selina has offered a different perspective, on her son Rudy's relationship with dad Mo. In a TikTok video shared to Instagram, she expressed frustration over Mo's alleged lack of involvement, saying: "I just finally posted on Instagram about my son's dad so for your information, if you don't follow my Instagram I don't blame you. Um, Mo Gilligan is his dad. Very much in quotation marks." She went on to claim that she knows how rarely the TV star has seen his son and shared that she had long hoped things would improve for her "unbelievable" little boy. Still, she acknowledged: "You can't make someone be a dad," claiming that Mo had made it clear he didn't want to take on the role. Mo's current partner, Taia, announced her pregnancy in March with a heartfelt Instagram post, though she did not name the father at the time. Showing off her growing bump, she wrote: "Today, I carry the love that made me, the love I've always known… and the love I've only just begun to understand. "For a long time, I didn't know when I would share this. But now feels right. Because today, on Mother's Day, I get to celebrate my own mother - and the tiny soul who has already made me one, too.'" Mo and Taia have been quietly dating for two years and currently live together in London.
