Lachlan Turner sweeps first two races in Women's Loretta Lynn's division with Moto 2 win
A strong start was the key to Turner's Moto 1 win on Wednesday, and she duplicated that feat on Thursday, leading from the drop of the gate until the checkered flag. Turner's dominance is underscored by her fastest lap of the moto of 2:00.135, which was set on the second lap. That was nearly four seconds faster than the next fastest lap of 2:04.010 by Jordon Jarvis.

Turner's victory over Stallings was by 21.397 seconds with speed differentials of up to five seconds during the nine-lap race. The gap would have been much greater overall if not for a tip-over by Turner that cost 10 seconds as she remounted the Yamaha.
Turner is also competing in the mostly-male 250 B Limited division, where she finished among the top 20. Turner was 16th in Moto 2 there and 29th in Moto 1.
Jarvis finished third for the second consecutive moto. In fact, the top four duplicated Wednesday's race with Mayla Herrick coming home fourth in Moto 2.
Lilly-Ann Pettus improved from sixth in Moto 1 to round out the top five.
Despite winning the first two motos, Turner cannot relax. Stallings has kept herself in contention with back-to-back runner-up finishes that puts her only two points out of the divisional lead.

Enzo Temmerman sweeps Loretta Lynn's 250 Pro Sport, secures title
Enzo Temmerman ended his 250 Pro Sport campaign with a third divisional moto win in the Loretta Lynn's Amateur National in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, and walked away with the title. Entering the moto with back-to-back wins, Friday's race should have been stress-free, but for the second straight race, Temmerman suffered a poor start and was only sixth after Lap 1. Unlike his previous efforts, it took quite some time to get to the front, with Temmerman falling as far back as 10 seconds during the race. Dan Beaver, Temmerman moved into third on Lap 4, but was forced to settle there until the two laps remained in the moto. Temmerman passed teammate Landen Gordon at that point. One lap later, he took the lead in a thrilling, three-rider battle for the top spot. Kade Johnson led every lap except the final one. He succumbed to a charging Temmerman on Lap 13 and ultimately lost seven seconds to the new leader. Gordon lost an additional four seconds of pace, but easily outdistanced the fourth-place rider, Diesel Thomas. That position would prove to be important as he finished second in the title hunt with one point separating him from Landen Gibson. Gibson finished fifth in the moto to round out the top five. Finishing 10th, North Carolina's Ely Gross capped off progressive improvement during the week with his first top-10. He was 15th in Moto 1 and 11th in Moto 2. FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Matt Turner is returning to his Major League Soccer roots as he looks to get back into position to compete for the starting job as U.S. national team's goalkeeper. Turner transferred from England's Nottingham Forest to France's Lyon on Friday, then was loaned to the New England Revolution through June 30, 2026, in a deal that gives the Revolution an option to acquire his rights. Turner will be a designated player on the Revolution's roster for the remainder of the 2025 season. He'll be eligible for targeted allocation money in 2026. Turner left the Revolution for Arsenal ahead of the 2022-23 season but played in just five Europa League and two FA Cup matches and transferred to Forest in August 2023 . He lost the No. 1 spot there after allowing soft goals against Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal and was loaned for 2024-25 to Crystal Palace, where he played in just one League Cup game and three FA Cup matches — none after March 1. Turner was displaced by New York City's Matt Freese as the U.S. goalkeeper for this year's CONCACAF Gold Cup. The 31-year-old Turner became the No. 1 U.S. goalkeeper ahead of the 2022 World Cup and had started 14 consecutive competitive matches for the U.S. and 23 of 24 before the Gold Cup. Turner will now look to get back to that level in New England, where he made his pro debut in 2016.
