Vin Diesel Confirms Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner Will Return for the FAST & FURIOUS Finale in 2027 — GeekTyrant
Vin Diesel just gave Fast & Furious fans a moment to remember during his surprise appearance at FuelFest in Southern California over the weekend. While standing in front of a cheering crowd, he officially confirmed that the franchise finale is locked in for an April 2027 release, and that it will bring back Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner. Diesel also revealed that the final installment will return to the streets of Los Angeles, the same city where it all began 25 years ago. Diesel previously said: 'Los Angeles needs it now more than ever… Los Angeles is where Fast and Furious started filming 25 years ago… and now Fast will finally return home.' But the headline-grabber came when Diesel confirmed the return of Brian O'Conner, the character made iconic by Walker, who tragically passed away in a car accident in 2013. Walker starred alongside Diesel in the original 2001 film and appeared in five more entries before his death. Diesel said: 'To be able to bring Brian back in the finale means everything.' Though Diesel didn't go into details about how Brian's return will be executed, the franchise has previously used a combination of visual effects and body doubles—primarily Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb—to honor his legacy, most notably in Furious 7 . That film, which also opened in April, remains the highest-grossing installment to date, raking in more than $1.5 billion worldwide. This new chapter, often referred to as Fast X: Part 2 , is positioned as the grand finale to one of the most successful franchises in movie history. Diesel has long pushed for Universal to finalize a release plan, especially following Fast X , which brought in over $700 million globally. His persistence seems to have paid off. Christina Hodson ( The Flash, Bumblebee ) and Oren Uziel ( The Lost City, 22 Jump Street ) are co-writing the script. It was also previously confirmed that Fast X director Louis Leterrier is returning to direct. What do you think about bringing Walker's character back for the big finale?

TRON: ARES: First Look at Jodie Turner-Smith as "Totally Uncompromising" Athena and Details — GeekTyrant
In our first proper look at Jodie Turner-Smith in Tron: Ares , and she steps into the digital arena as Athena, a character who looks like she could tear through the Grid and not blink twice doing it. Decked out in a light-up suit, sporting bleach-blonde hair and a deliberately eyebrow-free stare, Turner-Smith is bringing raw power and a zero-compromise attitude to her role as second-in-command to Jared Leto's Ares. Smith told Empire: 'She is hardcore and fierce and strong and loyal. It's really fun to play somebody who's just totally uncompromising and brazenly going about accomplishing their objectives. And I was really willing to take that on right now. I was like, 'Ooh, villain era, let's go.'' Athena is a loyal enforcer and a force of will. Turner-Smith brought her own rebellious flair to the role. When the production team asked her to go blonde for the part, she didn't stop there. She bleached her eyebrows… and then just shaved them off entirely. 'Joachim actually was not down for that idea,' she laughed. 'They wanted me to go blonde, so I did, and I also bleached my eyebrows. And then I thought, 'You know what? It's gonna look better if the eyebrows are gone. 'If anyone's upset, I'll just tell them the bleach made them fall out.' It was one of those times of asking for forgiveness rather than permission.' Athena seems like a character that you won't want to mess with. The movie is being helmed by Joachim Rønning and it also stars Cameron Monaghan ( Star Wars Jedi ), Evan Peters ( WandaVision ), Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith ( Without Remorse ), Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, and Gillian Anderson. Jeff Bridges is also returning to the world of Tron. The film arrives in theaters on October 10, 2025.

Hozier Scores A New Longest-Charting Rock Smash
Hozier's 'Too Sweet' becomes his longest-charting hit ever on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and ... More Hot Rock Songs charts, surpassing 'Take Me to Church' after 65 weeks. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 30: Hozier performs at An Evening With Hozier at The GRAMMY Museum on October 30, 2023 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo byfor The Recording Academy) A decade ago, when Hozier released 'Take Me to Church,' he scored the kind of hit most artists can only dream of. The tune made him one of the most exciting new names in rock music to emerge in quite some time, and it propelled him to the top of charts all around the globe. For years, 'Take Me to Church' remained the Irish singer-songwriter's only major hit, but it was so massive that his career was all but secure. Nearly 10 years later, Hozier returned with yet another smash, one that quickly became as big as 'Take Me to Church.' More than a year after its release, 'Too Sweet' remains a massive hit on the Billboard charts, and has even managed to outpace its predecessor in one important way. 'Too Sweet' Passes 'Take Me to Church' 'Too Sweet' currently appears on nine charts in the United States and has spent 65 weeks on all but two of them. It reaches a new longevity record this time around, as it breaks out of its recently-set tie with 'Take Me to Church' and becomes Hozier's longest-running win on two very important tallies. The Grammy-nominated star now claims a new longest-charting smash on both the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Rock Songs rankings. 'Too Sweet' Still Lives at No. 1 65 weeks into its lifetime, 'Too Sweet' isn't just breaking Hozier's own records on the rock-focused lists — it is still a sizable commercial success. The track is a nonmover in the runner-up space on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs ranking, while it leads the Hot Rock Songs chart yet again. The same single also lives inside the top 10 on four other lists, including the Hot Alternative Songs, Rock Streaming Songs, Alternative Streaming Songs, and Alternative Digital Song Sales tallies. Hozier's Streaming Smash 'Too Sweet' even manages to appear on one of Billboard's all-genre consumption rosters this frame. The track lifts from No. 44 to No. 40 on the Streaming Songs chart. If it can hold on for one more frame — which seems all but certain — it will earn its first full year on that tally.
