
Supermarket giant offering all loyalty scheme members better rates on travel money this summer to save you cash
Jet-setters can now pre-order cash from the country they are travelling to and pick it up in 560 of the chain's stores.

Over 50 currencies are available to choose from with some - such as euros and US dollars -available to order and collect on the same day.
However, you may have to wait a week to get more exotic cash such as the Japanese Yen.
Plus, the beloved British brand said Sparks loyalty customers can get better rates than those not signed up for the scheme.
At the time of reporting, a non Sparks customer who converts £100 into euro, will get €112.43. But a Sparks customer will get €112.66 back.
Meanwhile, if you convert £100 into dollars, you will get $132.07 back as a non loyalty member. But a Sparks customer will get $132.34.
Katherine Carlson, director of financial services at M&S, said: 'We want to be able to reward our Sparks customers for their loyalty and what better way to do so than helping their money go further on holiday.
"And with customers now able to pick up their travel money in more of our stores than ever before, it has never been easier to get ready for your holiday with M&S."
She added: "Offering our customers the very best products, services and rewards are a key part of the transformation of our financial services offering and this is just the latest step in that journey.'
If you are keen to exchange cash before your holiday, it is important to shop around at a few different places to ensure you are getting the best rate.
For example, you can also exchange cash your local Post Office and other supermarkets like Asda and Morrisons offer the service too.
M&S launches first-of-its-kind store
It is free to sign up for a Sparks card and it also unlocks lots of other offers including a free Birthday treat.
Last week, the home of the Percy Pig said the rewards scheme was fully back following its cruel cyber attack.
The chain said it would issue a host of "thank you" treats to those who missed out on the birthday freebie.
Eager customers will be able to choose between one of two of M&S' bestselling food products.
These could include Percy Pigs or a Swiss Truffle Assortment Box, a Bouquet of Flowers or bottle of Prosecco, a punnet of Grapes or a packet of Outrageously Chocolatey Round Biscuits.
Sparks birthday treats were among the casualties of the cyber attack for those who had a birthday over the spring and early summer.
M&S cyber attack
M&S is picking up the pieces from a vicious cyber attack which occurred in April and cost the firm £300million in lost profits.
For weeks the beloved retailer was unable to process online orders and store shelves were left bare.
Online shopping has since returned across England, Scotland and Wales.
Earlier this month, three teenagers and a woman were arrested in the UK as part of an investigation into attacks, which also targeted Co-op and Harrods.
They have since been released on bail.

This week, the chain opened its first ever air-side shop in London 's Heathrow airport.
It means jet setters can now stock up on iconic M&S food after going through security.
It is located at Gate A in Terminal 5 of the busy London airport.
A second store also opened at Gate B, selling gifts such as its popular biscuit tins as well as prepackaged food.
HISTORY OF M&S
M&S was founded in 1884 by Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer in Leeds.
The first official Marks and Spencer store opened in Manchester in 1901.
Throughout the 1920s, M&SA gre rapidly, opening more and more stores across the country.
The retailer made its reputation in the early 20th century by selling only British-made products.
It began textile sales in 1926 and started selling food from 1931.
The St Michael trademark was introduced in 1928 as a guarantee of quality and value.
This was initially used only for a small range of textiles but was extended over the years to cover all goods sold by M&S.
M&S introduced its first in-store cafe in 1935 in the Leeds store.
It provided cheap, hygienic, and nutritious mass catering.
By 1942, M&S opened 82 cafes across its estate.
At the outbreak of the Second World War, M&S had 234 stores.
By 1945, over 100 of these had been damaged by bombs, and 16 had been completely destroyed.
BY 1960, M&S pioneered in the sale of fresh poultry following the invention of the cold-chain process.
In the 1970s and 1980s, M&S pushed into international markets including the US, Canada and France.
In 1979, M&S introduced the Chicken Kiev to its food halls across the UK.
In 1992, Percy Pigs were launched.
The Autograph range of clothing was introduced in 2000, and the St Michael brand was slowly phased out.
In 2019, the group announced 110 store closures as part of its plans, affecting several longstanding high-street shops.
In September 2020, M&S partnered with Ocado to allow for home delivery of the chain's full food range.
M&S has recently announced new stores and is freshening up a swathe of others in a boost for shoppers.

Plans for Staines four-star hotel by River Thames fall through
Plans for a riverside four-star hotel in Surrey have fallen through after the council decided that the project was "no longer practical".Spelthorne Borough Council had been working with Arora Group to agree plans to regenerate the land under Bridge Street car park in Staines, which would include developing the the council has now said it has agreed to terminate the lease for the site, subject to approval at a full council meeting in Sexton, leader of the council, cited the upcoming reorganisation of local government as a driving factor in the decision. She said: "While this was a difficult decision, it reflects our responsibility to adapt to new priorities and the reorganisation of local government means we must reassess what is right for Staines."We remain committed to creating a vibrant future for the town and will work closely with the community as we plan the next steps for this important site."Under the original plans signed in February, Arora had agreed to lease the site to develop the site of the car park and neighbouring Hanover development would have included creating a four-star hotel by the side of the River declined to comment on the decision.A council spokesperson added that it would be continuing to look at future options for the site, which will continue to operate as a public car park in the government reorganisation plans will see councils in Surrey disbanded and reformed into a number of unitary authorities as part of national government devolution plans.

Britain is stuck in a ‘doom loop', warns hedge fund chief
Britain is stuck in a 'doom loop' of rising debts, higher taxes and slower growth, one of the world's most influential hedge fund managers has warned. American billionaire Ray Dalio has issued a stark warning about the health of the UK economy, as he said that raising taxes to cover mounting borrowing costs will only lead to more people leaving. Referring to Britain's 'debt doom loop', Mr Dalio said there is a 'necessity for creating taxation that is then driving people away…[resulting in] a deterioration in conditions'. Speaking on The Master Investor Podcast with Wilfred Frost, the founder of hedge fund giant Bridgewater Associates said: 'The financial problems and the social problems worsen, having the effect of causing people with money to leave.' The threat of wealthy people quitting the country is significant for Chancellor Rachel Reeves, as the top 10pc of earners pay 58pc of all income tax, according to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). There are already signs that an exodus is under way, with some analysts predicting that the UK will lose more millionaires than any other country this year. As well as the impact of ballooning debts on taxes, Mr Dalio said they can also feed through to higher interest rates, which again increase strain on the public finances. Fixing Britain's debt crisis means 'difficult choices are going to have to be made', Mr Dalio said. It comes amid mounting pressure on Ms Reeves ahead of her upcoming autumn Budget, as some economists predict that she is facing a black hole of up to £20bn. Mr Dalio's warning comes just days after the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said the Chancellor must take radical action if she is to have any hope of repairing Britain's balance sheet. It raised the prospect of raising taxes on 'working people', such as income tax, National Insurance and VAT, which Labour ruled out in last year's manifesto. Alternatively, it said this or future governments must consider scrapping the triple lock or charging wealthier households to use the NHS. Mr Dalio's comments are particularly pertinent as the IMF noted the Government's growing reliance on hedge funds to finance the country's £2.9tn debt pile. 'More patient investors, like pension funds and insurers, which have traditionally tended to hold longer-term gilts, have scaled back their exposure in recent years,' the IMF said. 'Hedge funds are, by nature, more speculative, leveraged and tend to have concentrated positions; and thus could amplify volatility and liquidity shortages in case of a stress event.' Meanwhile, economists at the EY Item Club said the impact on Ms Reeves's National Insurance tax raid is now severely impacting the jobs market. Unemployment will rise to 5pc by the end of the year, EY said, up from 4.7pc according to the latest official figures. That increase would represent the highest unemployment rate since February 2021, when the country was still battling the pandemic. EY's latest report also indicated that inflation is set to stay above 3pc for the rest of this year, in part due to higher energy bills, and will only return to the Bank of England's 2pc target in late 2026. Separately, EY Item Club upgraded its growth forecasts for the year after the economy expanded by an unexpected 0.7pc in the first quarter. The analysts now expect UK GDP to grow by 1pc in 2025, up from its previous projection of 0.8pc. However, growth will slow again to 0.9pc in 2026 amid the volatility of Donald Trump's trade war. Matt Swannell, the EY Item Club's chief economic adviser, said: 'The UK's economic position remains challenging, and tightening fiscal policy and the lagged effect of interest rates, with some households still due to refinance their low-rate fixed mortgages in the coming year, will restrain growth. 'US tariffs, high bond yields and recent changes to welfare legislation will have increased spending and reduced tax revenues, shrinking the Government's already-thin fiscal headroom. 'This challenge could be even more significant if the Office for Budget Responsibility downgrades its growth assumptions at the autumn Budget, or if the Government is required to accelerate defence spending before the end of this parliament.' A government spokesman said: 'The best way to strengthen public finances is by growing the economy – which is our focus. 'Changes to tax and spend policy are not the only ways of doing this, as seen with our planning reforms, which are expected to grow the economy by £6.8bn and cut borrowing by £3.4bn.'
