Supermarket giant offering all loyalty scheme members better rates on travel money this summer to save you cash
M&S has launched a click & collect for travel money as well as better rates for Sparks customers. Jet-setters can now pre-order cash from the country they are travelling to and pick it up in 560 of the chain's stores. 1 Over 50 currencies are available to choose from with some - such as euros and US dollars -available to order and collect on the same day. However, you may have to wait a week to get more exotic cash such as the Japanese Yen. Plus, the beloved British brand said Sparks loyalty customers can get better rates than those not signed up for the scheme. At the time of reporting, a non Sparks customer who converts £100 into euro, will get €112.43. But a Sparks customer will get €112.66 back. Meanwhile, if you convert £100 into dollars, you will get $132.07 back as a non loyalty member. But a Sparks customer will get $132.34. Katherine Carlson, director of financial services at M&S, said: 'We want to be able to reward our Sparks customers for their loyalty and what better way to do so than helping their money go further on holiday. "And with customers now able to pick up their travel money in more of our stores than ever before, it has never been easier to get ready for your holiday with M&S." She added: "Offering our customers the very best products, services and rewards are a key part of the transformation of our financial services offering and this is just the latest step in that journey.' If you are keen to exchange cash before your holiday, it is important to shop around at a few different places to ensure you are getting the best rate. For example, you can also exchange cash your local Post Office and other supermarkets like Asda and Morrisons offer the service too. M&S launches first-of-its-kind store It is free to sign up for a Sparks card and it also unlocks lots of other offers including a free Birthday treat. Last week, the home of the Percy Pig said the rewards scheme was fully back following its cruel cyber attack. The chain said it would issue a host of "thank you" treats to those who missed out on the birthday freebie. Eager customers will be able to choose between one of two of M&S' bestselling food products. These could include Percy Pigs or a Swiss Truffle Assortment Box, a Bouquet of Flowers or bottle of Prosecco, a punnet of Grapes or a packet of Outrageously Chocolatey Round Biscuits. Sparks birthday treats were among the casualties of the cyber attack for those who had a birthday over the spring and early summer. M&S cyber attack M&S is picking up the pieces from a vicious cyber attack which occurred in April and cost the firm £300million in lost profits. For weeks the beloved retailer was unable to process online orders and store shelves were left bare. Online shopping has since returned across England, Scotland and Wales. Earlier this month, three teenagers and a woman were arrested in the UK as part of an investigation into attacks, which also targeted Co-op and Harrods. They have since been released on bail. More M&S news This week, the chain opened its first ever air-side shop in London 's Heathrow airport. It means jet setters can now stock up on iconic M&S food after going through security. It is located at Gate A in Terminal 5 of the busy London airport. A second store also opened at Gate B, selling gifts such as its popular biscuit tins as well as prepackaged food. HISTORY OF M&S M&S was founded in 1884 by Michael Marks and Thomas Spencer in Leeds. The first official Marks and Spencer store opened in Manchester in 1901. Throughout the 1920s, M&SA gre rapidly, opening more and more stores across the country. The retailer made its reputation in the early 20th century by selling only British-made products. It began textile sales in 1926 and started selling food from 1931. The St Michael trademark was introduced in 1928 as a guarantee of quality and value. This was initially used only for a small range of textiles but was extended over the years to cover all goods sold by M&S. M&S introduced its first in-store cafe in 1935 in the Leeds store. It provided cheap, hygienic, and nutritious mass catering. By 1942, M&S opened 82 cafes across its estate. At the outbreak of the Second World War, M&S had 234 stores. By 1945, over 100 of these had been damaged by bombs, and 16 had been completely destroyed. BY 1960, M&S pioneered in the sale of fresh poultry following the invention of the cold-chain process. In the 1970s and 1980s, M&S pushed into international markets including the US, Canada and France. In 1979, M&S introduced the Chicken Kiev to its food halls across the UK. In 1992, Percy Pigs were launched. The Autograph range of clothing was introduced in 2000, and the St Michael brand was slowly phased out. In 2019, the group announced 110 store closures as part of its plans, affecting several longstanding high-street shops. In September 2020, M&S partnered with Ocado to allow for home delivery of the chain's full food range. M&S has recently announced new stores and is freshening up a swathe of others in a boost for shoppers.

How Fadel Enhances Retail Supply Chain Efficiency
07/02/2025, New York City, New York // KISS PR Brand Story PressWire // If you work in retail, you know how it can get. Shipments get delayed, items are out of stock (and then, everyone suddenly starts ordering them) and your customers get frustrated. And now, with online commerce, people can order your product from anywhere in the world. Talk about pressure. In 2022, click and collect retail sales in the United States were forecast at nearly 96 billion dollars. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of click and collect retail sales doubled. That's why your retail supply chain needs to work as well as possible. Thankfully, companies like Fadel can help you on this journey and help you do what you do best. Make your customers happy. 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰𝒔 𝑭𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒍? Fadel is a company that creates software to help businesses keep track of who owns what when it comes to creative content. Think of things like photos, videos, product designs, logos, and even music. Using any of these without the right permission can lead to lawsuits, bad press, or the need to pull a product or campaign at the last minute. Fadel can help companies avoid that risk by keeping all of the rights-related information organized. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒊𝒍 𝑺𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒚 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒏: 𝑨 𝑸𝒖𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌 Before we dive into how Fadel fits in, let's try to understand what the retail supply chain looks like. Basically, it's the journey a product takes from the initial idea to the customer. That journey involves: Each of these steps involves people, contracts, and often creative assets like photos, videos, and logos. Managing all of that content and making sure it's used legally and effectively can be very complicated. 𝑯𝒐𝒘 𝑪𝒂𝒏 𝑭𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒍 𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒑 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑩𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅? Here's how Fadel can help you live up to your potential: 1. 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 As a retailer, you probably use a lot of digital assets in your operations, like licensed music in commercials, branded packaging, and so on. Fadel's software can help your company know exactly what you can and can't use, and when. For example, if a retailer has permission to use a model's photo in ads until December 31st, Fadel keeps track of that date. If someone tries to use the photo after the deadline, the system sends a warning. This helps companies avoid last-minute problems that can delay launches. 2. 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑪𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 When marketing teams are sure they have the rights to use a certain video, image, or design, they don't need to waste time double-checking or waiting for legal approval. Fadel's tools can give you that confidence. This means campaigns can go live faster, and products can reach your customers more quickly. 3. 𝑩𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑩𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔 In many companies, creative teams, legal teams, and marketing teams often work in silos. Fadel connects them all by providing one platform where everyone can see what rights are available, what licenses are active, and what content is approved. This avoids confusion, helps everyone stay informed, and helps teams make better decisions together. 4. 𝑹𝒊𝒔𝒌 𝑹𝒆𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 Using content without the proper rights can lead to expensive lawsuits, bad publicity, or it can completely ruin your marketing campaign. Fadel can help reduce that risk. By tracking every license and agreement, their software ensures that companies stay compliant with all contracts and legal rules. This is not just about avoiding legal trouble. It also helps maintain your brand's reputation. 5. 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍-𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝑼𝒑𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒔 Retail is very fast. Fadel's platform updates in real time, which means that as soon as a license expires or a new restriction is added, the teams are notified. This kind of instant communication prevents errors and helps make sure all of your projects stay on track. 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍-𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅 𝑬𝒙𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆: 𝑳𝒂𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝑭𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒈𝒏 Imagine a global clothing brand preparing to launch a new winter collection. The campaign involves: Each part involves content that might have limitations. The model might only be approved for online ads, the music might be licensed only for 6 months, and the influencer might have exclusivity clauses. Fadel keeps all of this information in one place and alerts teams if something is outside the allowed use. Instead of going through a thousand emails, spreadsheets, and legal documents, the company can manage the whole campaign easily, and in one place. 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝑵𝒐𝒘 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓 Today's retail is more complex than ever. There are so many channels you have to keep track of (like TikTok and YouTube), more partnerships, and more types of content being created. At the same time, consumers expect fast and easy experiences with your brand. Delays in the supply chain stand out and can hurt your brand's image (especially nowadays, when we leave a digital footprint). That's why having tools like Fadel's makes a real difference. It simplifies content management, keeps everyone in sync, and helps your team move faster with confidence. 𝑳𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒅 As retail continues to grow, the need for clear, reliable rights management will only get bigger. More companies are creating digital experiences, collaborating with influencers, and creating global campaigns. Tools like this will be key in helping them scale these efforts while staying legally protected and as efficient as possible. Basically, Fadel doesn't just help with rights. It can help your team work smarter, faster, and safer. And that can be a serious competitive advantage. Original Source of the original story >> How Fadel Enhances Retail Supply Chain Efficiency

PRIMARK has officially completed the roll out of a new service across all stores. The retailer's click & collect service is now available in all 187 stores across Great Britain. 1 This means you can now browse and buy a huge range of Primark 's clothing and homeware online and pick it up at your local store. Customers can choose a collection day and pick up their order at their local store. There's a £10 minimum order value, but no delivery charge. Kari Rodgers, UK Retail Director at Primark, said: "Now, wherever you live in Great Britain you can browse and shop the best of Primark online, before collecting in the store that suits you. "We're thrilled to have now completed this roll out ahead of the summer. "Whether you're after a suitcase, a swimsuit or matching holiday outfits for the whole family, click & collect makes your summer holiday shopping even easier." Primark first launched its click and collect trial across 25 stores in the north of England and Wales in November 2022. It was then extended to 57 stores overall in April 2023. In April 2024, Primark confirmed plans to roll out the service to all 187 stores by mid-2025. That roll out is now complete, with the final 29 stores fully set up to offer click and collect from today. Fashion fans 'need' Primark's new £14 linen trousers - there's two colours to choose from and they're great for spring Final stores to get click and collect THE final 29 stores launching click and collect services today include: England: Bath, 38 - 39 Stall Street, BA1 1QH Bristol, 1-27 The Horsefair, BS1 3BB Chelmsford, 9 High Chelmer, CM1 1XL Guildford, 33 The Friary, GU1 4YW Harrogate, 36-38 Cambridge Street, HG1 1RX Hastings, Queens Square Priory, Meadow Shopping Centre, TN34 1PN King's Lynn, 40 - 42 High Street, PE30 1BJ Yeovil, 19 Middle Street, BA20 1LF Scotland: Aberdeen, 153 Union Street, AB11 6BH Ayr, Unit 8, Taran Walk, KA7 1TU Braehead, Unit 1a, Braehead Shopping Centre, G51 4BS Clydebank, Unit 2, 117 Sylvania Way, G81 2RR Dundee, 40 High Street, DD1 1TU Dunfermline, 127 - 137 High Street, KY12 7DR East Kilbride, Unit 4, Plaza Shopping Centre, G74 1LW Edinburgh, Unit 5, Fort Kinnaird Retail Park, EH15 3RD Edinburgh, 91 - 93 Princes Street, EH2 2ER Glasgow, 56 - 68 Argyle Street, G2 8AG Glasgow, 171 Sauchiehall Street, G2 3ER Glasgow Parkhead, Unit 21, Forge Shopping Centre, G31 4EB Glasgow Fort, Unit 8, Glasgow Fort Shopping Centre, G34 9DL Greenock, 39 Hamilton Way, Oak Mall Shopping Centre, PA15 1JW Hamilton, 29 Quarry Street, ML3 7AW Inverness, 16 - 18 Bridge Street, IV1 1HG Irvine, Unit 46, Rivergate Centre, KA12 8EH Livingston, 8 - 11 Almondvale South, The Centre, EH54 6HR Motherwell, 20 - 26 Brandon Place South, ML1 1RB Perth, 134 - 148 High Street, PH1 5UH Stirling, Thistle Marches, FK8 2EA How does Primark's click and collect service work? The service works similarly to online shopping, but instead of getting the items dropped off at your home, you pick them up in-store. Primark has over 3,000 products available to shop via its website, including menswear and homeware. To place an order select a click and collect store, choose the size of your items to add to your bag and head to the checkout. You can also select a date you would like to visit the store to pick the item up. Click and collect can be cheaper than home delivery as many retailers do not charge a fee for the service. It is always worth looking online to see if your retailer has the option, but make it is at a store which is close to you. Why Primark is great for looking expensive on a budget By Clemmie Feildsend, Fabulous Fashion Editor AS someone who's no stranger to grabbing a last-minute outfit from Primark for a night out, it's about time that celebrities started catching on too. For as long as I've been heading out, Primark has been my go-to for those 'I have nothing to wear' moments, rushing in at the last minute to find something perfect. And I'm definitely not alone - on any Friday or Saturday night, you'll find plenty of shoppers doing the same thing, right before closing time. But no matter what, Primark always delivers. Now, Rita Ora is leading the charge, showing that you can snag a designer-worthy look without spending a fortune at high-end stores. While Rita's not rushing in last minute for a red carpet outfit, she's proving you can achieve the same high-impact style for much less. Looking stunning in her tailored suit alongside her mum Vera, Rita fit right in among the other A-listers dripping in Prada, Dior, and Victoria Beckham - if anything, she looked even better than some of the guests at The Fashion Awards. With Myleene Klass and Roxy Horner already jumping on the Primark bandwagon, I'm sure more stars will be following suit soon enough. What else is happening at Primark? The retailer opened its first ever standalone Primark Home store in Belfast on March 6. Whether you're after essentials like cotton bedding and towels, trend-led decorative pieces or unique kitchen ceramics, the new shopping concept has something for everyone. When the service first launched, a spokesperson said: "Keeping up with the latest homeware trends and must-have interiors, Primark Home combines style, comfort and value to help shoppers make a house a home. "From high-quality essentials like cotton bedding and towels to on-trend soft furnishings, decorative pieces, small furniture and unique, quirky kitchen ceramics that will elevate any space." Primark sparked frustration among some customers earlier this month by introducing a charge for its paper bags. Since 12 May, shoppers now have to pay 15p for paper bags, regardless of size—small, medium, or large. Explaining the decision, the retailer said: 'We've introduced a small fee for single-use paper bags. Have a reusable bag? Bring it with you next time you shop! "It's a simple step that encourages all of us to think twice about our use."

Major supermarket offers no answers after Aussie mum's rotten grocery find
An Australian mum has been left stunned after discovering two items completely rotten in her bag of 'click and collect' groceries. The mother said she made the order with a north Gold Coast Woolworths on Sunday night before her husband picked it up on Tuesday morning. She said her husband noticed the 'Woolworths Essentials' frozen chips in her order were warm. He opened the packet to discover the chips were a 'mashed and mouldy mess'. 'I reported that right away, but later in the night my teenage son went into the kitchen for something to eat and opened the chicken to find it unrecognisable – it was just a stinking black blob,' she told the Courier Mail. She said the tenders were within the used by date by a year, but her son took them from the bag and showed her the unrecognisable fillets. She claimed the chicken smelled foul and was covered in green and black mould. 'It was as if someone had fished it out of a bin and put it in our order,' she said. She said she'd previously had minor click-and-collect order issues, but they had been rectified quickly. The mother said she reached out to the supermarket online to lodge a complaint. Woolworths issued a $4 refund for the chips, but the tenders had been mistakenly included in the delivery and were not refunded. The mother said she wasn't concerned by the refunds, but instead wanted to know how the accident happened. On Wednesday, a representative apologised for the damage caused by the products. She offered up a $20 store credit, but could not explain the mix-up. A Woolworths spokesman said the supermarket was investigating the incident. 'Woolworths is aware of a customer report concerning two items in their recent online order which presented with mould,' they said. 'We take food safety very seriously and have strict food safety management processes. 'Our Customer Hub team are in contact with the customer and have refunded their order. 'While we are actively investigating how this incident has occurred, it appears to be an isolated incident'.
