
Entrepreneurs to get access to 36 online services

The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (
UPSIDA
) will provide 36 online e-services to offer uninterrupted support to entrepreneurs. These services are designed to simplify, streamline, and bring transparency to the entire process — from land allotment to commencement of production — ensuring timely facilitation.
On this occasion, a high-level meeting will be chaired by industrial development minister Nand Gopal Nandi.
"Initiatives like Udyami Samadhan Diwas will create a more business-friendly environment and boost investor confidence," a govt spokesperson said.

Upsida's planning spurs industrial boom in state
Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has emerged as a driving force behind the state's industrial transformation, an official spokesperson said on Friday. The state's industry body was able to record a surge in land allotment and employment generation. "In 2017–18, just 114 acre of industrial land was allotted across UP. By 2024–25, this figure surged to 526 acres, accompanied by the allotment of 261 industrial plots," he said, adding in the financial year 2025-26, 88 acre land was allotted through 261 plots. The spokesperson said that many more milestones were achieved by UPSIDA over the past eight years. He said: "UPSIDA witnessed a remarkable surge in digital adoption through the Nivesh Mitra portal. In 2025–26, 3,059 applications were resolved on the portal, with entrepreneur satisfaction reaching 96.32%. In comparison, the number of applications resolved in 2018-19 was just 625." UPSIDA recorded a 15-fold increase in the worth of industrial developmental works over the past seven years. Likewise, UPSIDA's operating revenue has doubled since 2019-20 – from Rs 576 crore in FY 2019–20 to Rs 1,344 crore in FY 2024–25. UPSIDA expanded its digital services from two to 42 now. "So far, more than 31,000 applications have been processed online with a resolution rate of 96%. Yet another indicator is a fourfold growth in the number of operational industrial units. "In FY 2020–21, 403 units could be made operational. This number climbed to 800 units in 2021–22, 1,122 in 2022–23, 1,211 in 2023–24, and 1,418 in 2024–25. Officials: UPSIDA purifying waste water at treatment plants for reuse
The Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA), through sewage treatment plants (STPs), waste water treatment plants, and common effluent treatment plants, is purifying and reusing wastewater keeping in mind environmental protection and industrial efficiency, officials said. The Surajpur waste water treatment plant (Gautam Budh Nagar) is being upgraded to SBR technology with a capacity of 6 MLD at a cost of Rs 899 lakh, targeted for completion by June 2026. The EPIP Kasna waste water treatment plant (3.6 MLD) is being upgraded with SBR technology at a cost of Rs 678.59 lakh. The Loni STP in Ghaziabad, based on MBBR technology, is operating at full capacity (5 MLD). Meanwhile, the Loni common effluent treatment plant dedicated to dyeing and textile waste is set for a major upgrade—from 6 MLD to 16 MLD—with a Rs 42 crore DPR already prepared. UPSIDA is integrating solar energy solutions into water purification plants and industrial areas. Rooftop solar panels are being installed at plant sites, leading to a significant reduction in energy costs and carbon emissions.

Warehousing and logistics policy: Chief secy chairs panel's 1st meeting
The first meeting of the Empowered Committee constituted under the Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy-2022 was convened on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh. In the meeting, the proposal to issue Letters of Comfort (LOC) to two private investors was approved. The investors will be provided with a capital subsidy of Rs 4.89 crore and Rs 4.90 crore. UPSIDA CEO Mayur Maheshwari said that under the policy, UPSIDA has so far allotted Unique IDs to 20 companies for a total investment of Rs 1,416 crore across the state. All these projects are under progress. Among these, proposals have been presented to issue Letters of Comfort to two companies. As per the Uttar Pradesh Warehousing & Logistics Policy-2022, to be eligible for subsidy, a minimum investment of Rs 20 crore in a storage facility covering at least 1 lakh sq ft is mandatory. Upon fulfilling the eligibility criteria, a capital subsidy of 15% of the investment (up to a maximum of Rs 5 crore) is provided.
