PNN
New Delhi [India], June 10: The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), one of the world's largest professional engineering bodies, has extended the application deadline for the 9th edition of the 'IET India Scholarship Award' to 22 June 2025, giving more aspiring engineers the opportunity to step forward and demonstrate their potential to solve real-world problems through innovation.
Recognised as one of India's most prestigious scholarships for undergraduate engineering students, the IET India Scholarship Award is open to students enrolled full-time in AICTE/UGC-approved engineering programmes across the country. More than a financial grant, the Award seeks to identify and nurture the next generation of engineering leaders--students who are not just academically strong, but passionate about using technology to make a meaningful impact on society. Past winners include professionals currently working at Sprinklr, Apple, Google and other global tech players.
With a total prize pool of Rs10 lakhs on offer, the national winner will receive Rs3,00,000, alongside nine additional awards for regional winners and runners-up. Beyond monetary benefits, the programme offers national recognition, opportunities to present innovations at high-profile industry platforms, and access to the IET's global professional network.
Ajay Salariya, India Awards & Scholarships Manager at The Institution of Engineering and Technology, said, "By extending the deadline, we hope to encourage more young innovators to take that first step. This is more than just a scholarship--it is a launchpad for tomorrow's engineers to address the challenges of today. Last year, we were inspired by entries from over 2,000 cities and 2,260 colleges, and we look forward to an equally dynamic response this year."
Applicants must have a minimum aggregate score of 60% or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale. The scholarship is open to students from any engineering specialisation and year of study, with no age limit. The selection process includes a rigorous four-stage evaluation: an online test on core engineering knowledge, regional-level solution-thons, and a national final scheduled for September 2025.

Through inner circle masterminds, community meetups, and annual retreats across India and Europe, members form deep networks that extend far beyond just jobs. For many, AIH has not only helped them land international offers but has also reignited confidence, clarity, and leadership qualities that had long been buried under corporate pressure. "This is not just about jobs abroad--it's about rewriting the story of Indian professionals who deserve global recognition and respect," says Abhishek Pal. The Man Behind the Movement Abhishek Pal is not just a mentor--he's walked the talk. A CCIE-certified networking specialist with over 13 years of international experience, he's now based in Sweden, living the life many Indian engineers only dream of. But instead of keeping that success to himself, Abhishek built AIH to democratize global access for thousands of other engineers back home. Abhishek's story is filled with wins. But it was the realisation that even skilled professionals stay stuck without "a system" that sparked the birth of his life's mission. "You can be talented and still get underpaid. The missing piece is the system. I built AIH so no engineer has to guess what to do next." Through his Global Job Masterclass, Abhishek breaks down his proven framework--the very same steps he followed--to help others make their own international leap. The masterclass is the entry point for anyone who wants to go from stuck to finding global Path. A Career Shift That Changes Lives Affluent Indians Hub isn't just about getting hired overseas--it's about unlocking new levels of lifestyle, confidence, and contribution. From foreign education for kids to buying dream homes, or helping parents travel abroad for the first time--AIH empowers engineers to live lives of dignity and choice, not compromise. AVPL drones keep water bodies pest-free
Hyderabad: Amid the season of rain, many local initiatives are required to avoid diseases like dengue and malaria. To work towards the same, AVPL International deployed advanced medium category drones across Banjara Lake and Sangareddy Lake in Hyderabad to spray mosquito larvicide, targeting mosquito breeding grounds. The initiative covered a total area of 3 acres over a two-day operation, marking the beginning of a year-long project aimed at comprehensive mosquito control in the region. A medium-category drone equipped with a centrifugal nozzle was used for the spraying, ensuring precise application of the larvicide while minimising human exposure and maximising coverage. The operations were conducted by a team comprising 2 pilots, trained and certified by AVPL's DGCA-approved Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO). Speaking about the initiative, Preet Sandhuu, Founder and MD of AVPL International, said, 'It is an honor to work towards this transformative public health and safety initiative. At AVPL, we are deeply committed to serving the nation, whether by nurturing talent or safeguarding communities for societal benefit.' The use of drone technology to treat inaccessible water bodies, was a success ensuring comprehensive coverage and leaving no mosquito breeding grounds untreated. This targeted approach aims to significantly reduce the spread of vector-borne diseases like dengue and malaria, creating a safer and healthier environment for Hyderabad's residents.
