Kareena shared a photo with Arjun, and it looks like it is from the wrap-up party of 'Ki & Ka.' She wrote, 'Happy Birthday, Arjj… Have a fab year ahead… Lots of love always, @arjunkapoor." Earlier, Karan Johar also shared a photo of Arjun and wished, 'Funniest guy in any room!!! Yaaron ka yaar and dil mein bahot saara pyaar! Happy birthday, Fubu! @arjunkapoor, have the best decade."
Career of Arjun Kapoor
Arjun Kapoor is a part of the Kapoor family, yet he made his mark in the industry on his own.
He debuted in the picture 'Ishaqzaade' in 2012, which was a romantic drama and turned out to be a blockbuster. Arjun gained recognition all over for his performance as the main antagonist, Danger Lanka, which was a shift from his usual lead roles. In the film, he played the role of a modern-day Raavan, as the film's plot was inspired by the Ramayan.
The film also starred a cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Jackie Shroff.
Despite facing a big clash with Kartik Aaryan's horror-comedy 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3,' the film, as per sacnilk.com, scored Rs 242 crores at the domestic box office.
Lineup of Kareena and Arjun
Arjun will be seen sharing the screen with actors Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh in the upcoming comedy sequel, 'No Entry 2.' The film is expected to come out later this year. However, the names of the female leads of the film have not yet been confirmed by the makers.
Kareena is set to deliver a powerful performance in the upcoming crime drama 'Daayra,' directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film also features Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran in what is described as a 'dream team" pairing. Prithviraj is reportedly cast as a police officer, while Kareena takes on a central and gritty role that promises to explore the off areas of crime, punishment, and societal justice.

Mukesh Khanna opens up on Ranbir Kapoor playing Ram in Ramayana, saying, 'Portraying Ram won't...'

Mukesh Khanna, famous for his iconic role as Bhishma Pitamah in the TV epic Mahabharat, is known for speaking his mind. Recently, he shared his thoughts on the upcoming film Ramayan, starring Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Nitesh Tiwari. What does Mukesh Khanna say about Ranbir Kapoor playing Ram? In an interview with Galatta India, Khanna expressed doubts if Ranbir Kapoor can truly embody the 'Maryada Purushottam'—the epitome of virtue and restraint that Ram is. He said, 'You are showing Ram climbing trees and shooting arrows. Krishna or Arjun can do that, but Ram would not. If Ram called himself a warrior, he would never ask for help from monkeys. He alone was enough to fight Ravan.' Khanna also mentioned the challenge Ranbir faces because of his recent controversial film Animal, stating, 'He is a good actor, but he has an image from Animal. If you portray Ram as a fighter, people won't accept it. Ram accepted 14 years of exile with folded hands, endured Shabari's false hatred; he never used bows and arrows for show.' Did Mukesh Khanna try to speak up before? Khanna revealed he had made a short video expressing his concerns about the portrayal of Ram in the Ramayan: The Introduction teaser. However, his team informed him the clips he saw were AI-generated fake videos by YouTubers, so he decided not to upload it on social media. What was Khanna's reaction to Ranbir's personal choices? When a publication asked about Ranbir's casting given that he admitted to eating beef, Khanna replied, 'I said I won't comment. Maybe he ate it, maybe he stopped. Let it be.' How does Khanna view the scale and content of Ramayan? 'Ramayan is the greatest story ever,' Khanna said. But he warned that making it with a 1000-crore budget won't guarantee success. 'Ramayan doesn't succeed because of money; it's content that matters. Just like Shaktimaan didn't become popular because of stars but because of its story.' Is star power necessary for Ramayan? Khanna was clear: 'If you put a star in Shaktimaan hoping the film will work, that means you don't trust the story itself. So why do you need big stars in Ramayan?' He pointed out that the movie already includes strong actors like Sunny Deol, Sai Pallavi, and Yash.

KRK Criticises ‘War 2' Advance Booking, Says It's Far Behind ‘Coolie'

Film critic and actor KRK has shared his views on the advance booking numbers of War 2 and Coolie ahead of their releases. In his tweet, he revealed that as of today at 7:30 PM, War 2 has sold 32,118 tickets at PVR INOX for Thursday, 14th August, amounting to ₹1.15 crore net. KRK expressed disappointment over the numbers, joking that the booking figures seemed more like those of an Arjun Kapoor film than a Hrithik Roshan starrer. In comparison, Coolie has sold a total of 1,07,897 tickets across all languages, nearly three times more than War 2. The total all-India net worth for Coolie stands at around ₹21 crore, while War 2 is at ₹4 crore. According to KRK, the gap shows that War 2 is 'not even near' Coolie in terms of audience interest so far. He posted this on his X account on August 11.

Sonu Nigam On Pardesiya From Param Sundari: ‘A Good Song Always Comes My Way'

Last Updated: Sonu Nigam calls it 'good fortune' to be part of the romantic ballad Pardesiya, the soulful new track from Param Sundari. Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's romantic drama Param Sundari is gearing up to impress audiences with a new-age love story. But before its theatrical release, the heartfelt love ballad Pardesiya has already struck a chord with listeners. Featuring the soothing vocals of Sonu Nigam, the song has become a fan favourite, and the chemistry between Sidharth and Janhvi added to its emotional depth. Composed by Sachin–Jigar and penned by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya, Pardesiya dives deep into themes of longing and unspoken love. Sonu Nigam, who has a legacy of delivering iconic romantic tracks, sat down for an interview with an entertainment media portal and called it 'good fortune' that Pardesiya came to him. 'It's a matter of good fortune that Pardesiya came to me. I've been working hard on my craft, and that's why the universe is opening up beautiful opportunities for me," Sonu said in an interview with Zoom. The singer, known for hits like Mere Dholna from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Papa Meri Jaan from Animal, added that Pardesiya continues his streak and is getting so much love. Sachin-Jigar's Magical Composition Sonu Nigam shared that Sachin-Jigar loved him from his early years. Despite having worked less with the composers, the singer said every collaboration has been memorable, and whatever they have done has left a mark, be it in any language. 'When they sent me the song, I realised it was a special one. The whole atmosphere while working was very beautiful and respectful. Sachin-Jigar are lovely souls with great camaraderie. I saw very positive interactions between two partners. There was no conflict. And they loved me from an early age, I would say from their childhood, when they were assistants to Rajesh Roshan ji many years back. So the song has shaped really well," he shared. Sonu, who has been part of the industry for over three decades and has contributed to hundreds of iconic songs, now prefers to focus on quality projects over quantity. At this juncture of his career, the 52-year-old explained how he picks a song today. 'I don't sing for just anybody. But because of my bonding with so many companies, artists and composers, it's sometimes difficult to say no to them, even when you see the project might not be of the highest order," he admitted. Sonu, however, feels lucky that good offers come to him, and hence he rarely has to make a choice. 'A good song is a good song, and thankfully people come to me when they have something good in hand and they value my contribution. I don't get average songs anyway, so I don't have to make an effort to choose too much. Good songs come my way," he concluded. What's Next for Sonu? Apart from Pardesiya, Sonu also released his new single Kahani Meri on his birthday (July 30). Up next, he will embark on the Satrangi Re India Tour, a seven-city musical journey that will bring him closer to fans across the country. Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor's Param Sundari Directed by Tushar Jalota, well-known for his work in Dasvi, Param Sundari is a heartfelt cross-cultural story about a North Indian boy and a South Indian girl. What happens after two different worlds come together forms the further narrative. The upcoming poignant drama promises fans to bring a new-age love story to the big screen. What's even more exciting is the fresh on-screen pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor in Param Sundari. Produced by Maddock Films, the romantic drama is all set to tuck into your hearts on August 29. First Published: August 12, 2025, 11:12 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
