EastEnders give first look at Kat and Alfie's wedding ahead of major drama

Daily Mirror2 days ago

EastEnders favourites Kat and Alfie, played by Jessie Wallace and Shane Ritchie, are heading for their third wedding, but will they end up making it down the aisle?
Iconic EastEnders duo, Kat Slater and Alfie Moon, have been seen in some jaw-dropping first-look snaps released by the soap, wearing their wedding outfits. The fan favourites played by Jessie Wallace and Shane Ritchie are heading for their third marriage after Alfie pops the question in a romantic proposal in next week's episode.
The calamitous couple, who have been married twice before, are hoping this marriage will be built to last. However, a series of dramatic events threatens to derail their happy day in classic Walford style. Seen with a pensive look on her face in Albert Square, sporting a gorgeous cream silk wedding dress with a matching cape strewn with flowers and a bejewelled headband, Kat looks like she's got the weight of the world on her shoulders as Alfie reaches out with a reassuring arm.

However, in another snap, Mr Moon clambers into a cab as his bride-to-be watches on with a face like thunder as the rest of the Square, including Bobby Brazier, who plays Kat's nephew, Freddie Slater, cross their arms in annoyance.
Kat and Afiie, who have been married twice before, first tied the knot on Christmas Day in 2003. The plucky publican made his bride's dream of a white wedding come true by hiring a snow machine for the big day.
However, marital harmony was short-lived, and they later divorced before deciding to give their relationship another whirl in 2014 and remarried.

Later, weighed down by financial struggles and after welcoming twins Bert and Ernie Moon, the couple hit the jackpot and left Walford in 2016. They subsequently appeared in the Ireland-based spin-off show, Kat and Alfie: Redwater.
However, Kat ended things with Alfie off-screen and returned to Walford in 2018, before Alfie followed her back to Albert Square.

Alfie actor Shane recently shared a big story line was in the offing for the Slater family. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror at The British Soap Awards 2025, the Walford legend revealed there were huge scenes on the way. He promised an explosive new storyline that would top the soap's 40th anniversary.
Not only that, but he revealed the storyline would run for months, continuing into next year. He remained tight-lipped over what and who would be involved, but teased "fireworks".

He hinted it would involve Alfie and Kat, amid reports Kat's daughter Zoe will finally make her return to the show after decades. Michelle Ryan is tipped to reprise her role for the first time since 2005, so perhaps this is what Shane was referring to.
Lifting the lid just a tad on the rumours, Shane revealed new producer Ben Wadey had huge things planned for the show. The actor told us: "He has told me some things. I said let me sit down.
"There's fireworks, there's Kat and Alfie. There is a story that is about to kick in, which will carry on through to after C hristmas. Honestly it's a big story. If you thought the 40th was big wait until you see this story. That's all I'm saying."

On her podcast Life With Nat, the EastEnders actress was discussing the upcoming cast of Celebrity Traitors and how it was 'such a good line-up.' The conversation turned to Paloma, 43, who is set to appear in the series, which is when Natalie, 42, revealed that she was once bullied by the popstar when they attended school together. 'Paloma Faith, she bullied me at school. 'She went to Islington Green and was in the year above me,' she said. She then revealed that the pair had cleared the air since leaving school: 'We've spoken about it and she has said sorry about that.' The conversation then quickly moved on as Natalie and her guests discussed some of the other guests, including Clare Balding. The celebrities both attended the same secondary school, now called the City of London Academy Islington, and Natalie grew up in Islington while Paloma was raised in Stoke Newington. Paloma has yet to speak about the bullying allegation, but an unearthed tweet from the singer has now revealed that her school years weren't exactly easy. In 2012, she tweeted: 'Yes I got bullied at school. I had braces and before that, wonky teeth.' Yes I got bullied at school. I had braces and before that, wonky teeth#askpaloma — Paloma Faith (@Palomafaith) May 31, 2012 Paloma has also previously spoken about having a fantastic time at the Islington secondary school, despite it being 'very rough'. 'I had an amazing education there. It's funny because at the time I did my exams it had one of the worst reputations in the country. 'But I have to say the teachers were incredible,' she said in 2010 to the Tribune. She also added that she was in the school's production of Little Shop of Horrors: 'I was never one of the leads. I was always one of the dancers because at that time I was really into dance.' In 2012, Paloma also told The Evening Standard that she was 'encouraged' at school and did very well in her GCSE exams. She said the school was 'very, very rough,' adding: 'The police were there every day; there was a lot of violence. But the teachers were incredible. My tutor sold the Socialist Worker every Sunday in Hackney Central. 'They were very encouraging to me. I was put in the Hackney Gazette because it was a failing school and I got all As at GCSE.' Paloma has previously revealed that her place in the spotlight has brought with it a huge amount of criticism, revealing in recent years she has even faced death threats. More Trending 'Being in the public eye, lots of people are quick to shame me,' she told The I Paper, after she said she would raise her daughter gender-neutral. 'Lots of people started giving me death threats and saying that I was an abusive mother and my kids should be taken away from me. I was like, 'I don't understand what you're talking about. I'm just talking about children being who they are and not judging them for it.'' Metro has reached out to Paloma Faith's representatives for comment. Got a story? Holly Willoughby suffers major blow as Netflix show is 'axed' after one season

Holly Willoughby's Netflix series Celebrity Bear Hunt has reportedly been axed (Picture: Netflix) British TV personality Holly Willoughby's Netflix show Celebrity Bear Hunt reportedly won't be returning to screens for a second season. The former This Morning star, 44, broke into the Netflix presenting market last year by hosting a survival show which plunged a group of famous faces into the jungles of Costa Rica where they are chased by famed survivalist Bear Grylls. The show featured the likes of Spice Girls icon Mel B, retired tennis player Boris Becker, TV presenter Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, and Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas. Although the show comfortably topped the UK Netflix charts – and hung about in the top 10 for multiple weeks – it didn't quite make the same splash globally, with insiders claiming at the time that execs didn't believe it had been worth the 'huge financial cost', per The Mirror. Now, four months after its premiere, it looks as though its fate has been sealed with sources telling MailOnline it will not be returning. The insider said: 'Everyone was very proud of the show but when it came to it, it was just so expensive to make. The expensive Costa Rica-based show performed well in the UK but not globally (Picture: Tom Dymond/Netflix) 'You had to have a whole set in Costa Rica, loads of staff and loads of celebrities. The overheads were eyewatering,' adding that cheaper locations were explored but ultimately nothing was found. It comes just two weeks after Grylls shared his hopes of a renewal with an optimistic update. 'God willing, we're just sort of figuring that out at the moment,' he told Dermot O'Leary on Radio 2. The first season, dubbed 'I'm A Celebrity on steroids' spanned 12 episodes and was won by Big Zuu where he was rewarded a rope worn by Grylls himself and which he has hung up in his home like a 'weird little mantlepiece' as he told Metro. Although it seems as though it is the end of the road for the reality show, it left a lasting mark on its cast, as The Saturdays' Una Healey explained. The show was ultimately won by Big Zuu (Picture: Tom Dymond/Netflix) It remains to be seen what the TV presenter does next (Picture: Kieron McCarron/ITV/REX/Shutterstock) '[Grylls] actually prepared us for the outside world afterwards, to get back to reality, which I did experience a mild form of PTSD. And he said that can happen,' she told The Sun at the time. The pop star added: 'It's very natural because you're coming back into your natural environment. But you've adapted to this whole new way of life. 'So he prepared me for that and I had it. I had a few aftershocks and nightmares and stuff.' As for Willoughby, it is unclear what her next career move is after her final ITV show, Dancing On Ice, announced it was coming to an end after 19 years. She also quit her co-hosting gig with Stephen Mulhern for the reboot of You Bet! after one season. Celebrity Bear Hunt is available to stream on Netflix. Metro has reached out to Netflix for comment. Brooklyn and Nicola share plans to start family amid 'rift' with his parents

Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham have candidly opened up about their future plans as they shared their secrets to their successful marriage as 'best friends' Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are ready to build their own family amid rumours of a feud with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. The apparent fraction between the Beckhams has led to intense speculation surrounding the once close knit clan. However, with Brooklyn admitting the pair "don't listen to all the nonsense" when it comes to the public's prying, it appears they are ready to create a family unit of their own. The eldest child of Posh and Becks was seen packing on the PDA with his wife in a new interview. ‌ The duo opened up on their marriage and bond with each other, with Brooklyn confessing on a number of occasions that he sees kids in his future. He also said his wife will be an "amazing" mum. ‌ Sitting down to take Glamour's Friend Test, the pair are told to look into each other's eyes for two minutes. They then must reveal what they see. In a sweet nod to Nicola, Brooklyn said: "I see us when we have our kids." The words were echoed by the American, who said: "I see the future father of my kids." Brooklyn went on to say: "The most important thing someone can do in their life is find that person for life because they'll really change everything and they'll make everything better." He also gushed over Nicola's treatment towards their dogs, adding: "The way she treats them, I feel like you're gonna be the most amazing mum with our kids." The interview, which was conducted in April before the alleged fallout between Brooklyn and his parents became public, seemed to avoid mention of David and Victoria. Instead, Nicola took time to share the words her parents had told her about relationships. ‌ "My parents always told me, "When you meet the right person, you'll feel it,"" she said. "As a child, I thought, 'How will I ever know that?' But it's true: It's this deep feeling of security that spreads throughout your entire body, a calmness, a sense of arrival. I had never experienced that before." Brooklyn also labelled Nicola his best friend with Nicola admitting the pair's relationship is built on enjoying little things together. Speculation of tension between Victoria and David and their son and his wife was initially sparked by an incident over a wedding dress. Now, over three years on, LA-based Brooklyn and Nicola have now reportedly cut contact altogether. ‌ The apparent fallout came to light in the public eye after Brooklyn opted against attending any of his father's lavish 50th birthday celebrations. He has also failed to address any of his close-knit family's recent birthdays.
