'Angry divorcee' pours petrol in pack tube sparking huge fire inside carriage

A pensioner is facing 160 counts of attempted murder after allegedly pouring petrol in a packed tube and lighting it on fire.
The 67-year-old suspect – named only as Won – is accused of carrying out the deadly act during rush hour on the Seoul Metropolitan Subway in South Korea.
He was reportedly dissatisfied with the judgment of his divorce lawsuit, prompting him to plan the attack.
No one was seriously hurt, but the damages are estimated to top £161,400.
CCTV footage of the heinous act has been released by the Seoul public prosecutor's office.
The alleged terror attack resulted in 129 people needing first aid at the scene, with six victims taken to nearby hospitals with injuries. Others were treated for smoke inhalation.
Prosecutors say Won deliberately targeted the busy train to gain public attention, before fleeing the scene and being detained later at Yeouinaru Station.
But thanks to the passengers' quick actions and the installation of fire-resistant materials, a more devastating tragedy was prevented.
Won remains in police custody as the investigation continues.
Simon Burras, Managing Director at Applied Industrial Systems (AIS), a tunnel ventilation control system specialist, previously told Metro: 'If there is a fire on the train, then the normal mode of operation is for the train to stop at the next station so that the passengers can evacuate quickly.
'Once the train arrives at the station, the over-platform extraction systems are designed to remove the smoke. The staircase pressurisation systems provide a positive airflow down the escape route so that passengers can escape through smoke-free air.
'If, for some reason, there is a fire and the train is stopped in the tunnel, and passengers have to escape via the tunnel walkways, then the tunnel ventilation system is designed to clear smoke so that they can do so safely.
'Usually, the system works by sending the smoke in one direction and passengers in the other. Along the tunnel, active way-finding lights point in the direction passengers need to take to evacuate.'

Marcus Monzo, 37, nearly decapitated Daniel Anjorin with a 'devastating and unsurvivable' blow and attacked five other people during a 20-minute rampage in Hainault, east London, in April last year. Witnesses described the Spanish-Brazilian national dropping to his knees with both arms raised while screaming 'in delight' at the senseless killing. Monzo, of Newham, east London, was found guilty of murder, as well as three counts of attempted murder, wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. Daniel's father, Dr Ebenezer Anjorin, was in court to hear Monzo being convicted of murdering his son. Earlier, he condemned Monzo's 'wicked' actions as he described losing his son as his 'worst nightmare'. Speaking publicly about it for the first time, Dr Anjorin said in a statement: 'On April 30, 2024, at approximately 7am, Daniel left for school. At approximately 7.15am I was informed by my eldest son that Daniel had been stabbed on the road near my house. 'I ran outside the house and just across the road I saw a hunched-up body by the side of the road. 'I did not realise that it was Daniel at first but, as I got closer, I recognised the school sports clothes and saw his face. 'He was lying in a pool of blood and had a deep cut to his face running from the side of his mouth to the back of his neck. He was motionless. I knew at once that he was dead, but I reached down, called his name and held his head.' After a few minutes, he called Daniel's mother, who screamed and cried when she arrived home and saw paramedics trying to resuscitate her son, who died later in hospital. Dr Anjorin said he could not begin to describe the 'pain and anguish' the family felt at losing Daniel, who was academically gifted and enjoyed sports and music. He said: 'We will not see him get married or have children. All the normal things parents hope for their children. 'All these hopes and aspirations have been cruelly snatched away from us through the wicked actions of Marcus Monzo. 'It has been the worst nightmare experience of our lives. To have to go through the pain of losing a child in such a cruel and savage way. No family should have to go through this.' Incredibly, the victim survived but was left with multiple injuries, including a punctured lung and broken rib, after the attack in Maidstone, Kent last year. Haiden Tomlin, 19, and his neighbour, who has not been named, both lived on the same flour of building in the centre of town. Kent Police said officers were called at just before 3am on September 1 after Tomlin and the man became involved in an altercation, which escalated to a physical fight inside the flat of a third person. Police received further reports to say a man leaving the building was covered in blood. Officers carried out searches in the immediate area and Tomlin was found hiding in some bushes at around 4.50am and was arrested. The moment was filmed on police bodycams and the footage has now been shared with the public. Officers recovered a discarded lock knife and multi-tool outside the block of flats. Tomlin was charged with attempted murder and pleaded not guilty at Maidstone Crown Court, arguing he had acted in self-defence. The case then went to trial and he was convicted of an alternative charge of wounding with intent. More Trending On Thursday he was sentenced to five years and nine months in prison. Det Const Nell Shortis, of Kent Police, said: 'Tomlin argued his actions were in response to also being assaulted, however the sheer number of injuries he inflicted demonstrate a brutal and ferocious attack and one which the victim was fortunate to survive. TV star accused of murdering partner 'whose head hasn't been recovered'

Beauty and the Geek's Tamika Chesser, 34, was arrested on June 19 after police responded to reports of a fire at her home that she shares with boyfriend Julian Daniel Story, 39, in Port Lincoln, Australia. However, after emergency services arrived at the scene, Story's head was found dismembered on the bathroom floor of the apartment. After being arrested at her home and later charged with murder and police assault, Chesser was also charged with performing an act or omission intended to result in human remains being less likely to be found. Now, in a press conference, detective Darren Fielke has revealed that Story's head is still missing. Speaking to reporters, detective Fielke said it was 'crucial' that Story's head was returned to his family so they could hold a funeral, Australia's ABC reported. However, he added: 'We have not recovered the head of Julian Story.' CCTV images and video released by police appears to show Chesser walking three dogs and carrying a bag while seemingly wearing a hijab-style head covering. Detective Fielke is appealing for information to help track the 34-year-old's movements during the week of the alleged murder. A spokesperson for Mr Story's family thanked police and first responders for their 'compassion and professionalism during this devastating time', MailOnline reported. 'We are navigating an unimaginable loss, and your care has brought comfort amid the chaos,' the spokesperson said. 'We are also deeply grateful to our family and friends and this extraordinary community whose kindness and support have helped carry us through. Your prayers, presence, and quiet strength mean more than words can say.' According to official documents obtained by ABC, on the day of Chesser's arrest on June 19, a neighbour noticed black smoke coming from her property at roughly 1.30pm. After asking Chesser, who appeared outside, what she was doing, she said 'nothing' before taking her dogs for a walk. The neighbour then became concerned and took a bucket of water to try and put out the fire in the home. When he entered the home, he's said to have found a bundle of clothing rags and debris. Later, when police entered the home after firefighters extinguished the small fire, Story's 'severely burned and disfigured' remains were found. Chesser was apparently 'catatonic and unresponsive' as she sat in a garden chair in the rear yard after police entered the property. More Trending Police are alleging that Chesser murdered Story at roughly midnight on June 17. Chesser was refused bail in court last week and a committal hearing has been scheduled for December.
