TV star accused of murdering partner 'whose head hasn't been recovered'

A former reality TV star has been accused of murdering her partner, who was found with his head cut off.
Beauty and the Geek's Tamika Chesser, 34, was arrested on June 19 after police responded to reports of a fire at her home that she shares with boyfriend Julian Daniel Story, 39, in Port Lincoln, Australia.
However, after emergency services arrived at the scene, Story's head was found dismembered on the bathroom floor of the apartment.
After being arrested at her home and later charged with murder and police assault, Chesser was also charged with performing an act or omission intended to result in human remains being less likely to be found.
Now, in a press conference, detective Darren Fielke has revealed that Story's head is still missing.
Speaking to reporters, detective Fielke said it was 'crucial' that Story's head was returned to his family so they could hold a funeral, Australia's ABC reported.
However, he added: 'We have not recovered the head of Julian Story.'
CCTV images and video released by police appears to show Chesser walking three dogs and carrying a bag while seemingly wearing a hijab-style head covering.
Detective Fielke is appealing for information to help track the 34-year-old's movements during the week of the alleged murder.
A spokesperson for Mr Story's family thanked police and first responders for their 'compassion and professionalism during this devastating time', MailOnline reported.
'We are navigating an unimaginable loss, and your care has brought comfort amid the chaos,' the spokesperson said.
'We are also deeply grateful to our family and friends and this extraordinary community whose kindness and support have helped carry us through. Your prayers, presence, and quiet strength mean more than words can say.'
According to official documents obtained by ABC, on the day of Chesser's arrest on June 19, a neighbour noticed black smoke coming from her property at roughly 1.30pm.
After asking Chesser, who appeared outside, what she was doing, she said 'nothing' before taking her dogs for a walk.
The neighbour then became concerned and took a bucket of water to try and put out the fire in the home.
When he entered the home, he's said to have found a bundle of clothing rags and debris.
Later, when police entered the home after firefighters extinguished the small fire, Story's 'severely burned and disfigured' remains were found.
Chesser was apparently 'catatonic and unresponsive' as she sat in a garden chair in the rear yard after police entered the property. More Trending
Police are alleging that Chesser murdered Story at roughly midnight on June 17.
Chesser was refused bail in court last week and a committal hearing has been scheduled for December.
The 34-year-old was the runner-up on the 2010 season of Beauty and the Geek Australia.

Child who was strip searched at school worried she ‘will never feel normal'
A woman who was strip searched as a child at school has said she will 'never feel normal again' after two officers were sacked. Child Q, who was 15 at the time, was strip-searched by female Met officers in 2020 after she was wrongly suspected of carrying cannabis at her east London school. Later it emerged that she was also on her period, with the girl, who is now an adult, saying she felt 'demeaned'. A tribunal has since found the actions of two police officers involved amounted to gross misconduct, describing the incident as 'unjustified and humiliating'. Trainee Det Con Kristina Linge and PC Rafal Szmydynski were sacked, while PC Victoria Wray was given a final warning. In a statement through her lawyers, Child Q said: 'Someone walked into the school, where I was supposed to feel safe, took me away from the people who were supposed to protect me and stripped me naked, while on my period. Sword attacker who murdered schoolboy in rampage jailed for at least 40 years

Marcus Monzo, 37, nearly decapitated Daniel Anjorin with a 'devastating and unsurvivable' blow and attacked five other people during a 20-minute rampage in Hainault, east London, in April last year. Witnesses described the Spanish-Brazilian national dropping to his knees with both arms raised while screaming 'in delight' at the senseless killing. Monzo, of Newham, east London, was found guilty of murder, as well as three counts of attempted murder, wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. Daniel's father, Dr Ebenezer Anjorin, was in court to hear Monzo being convicted of murdering his son. Earlier, he condemned Monzo's 'wicked' actions as he described losing his son as his 'worst nightmare'. Speaking publicly about it for the first time, Dr Anjorin said in a statement: 'On April 30, 2024, at approximately 7am, Daniel left for school. At approximately 7.15am I was informed by my eldest son that Daniel had been stabbed on the road near my house. 'I ran outside the house and just across the road I saw a hunched-up body by the side of the road. 'I did not realise that it was Daniel at first but, as I got closer, I recognised the school sports clothes and saw his face. 'He was lying in a pool of blood and had a deep cut to his face running from the side of his mouth to the back of his neck. He was motionless. I knew at once that he was dead, but I reached down, called his name and held his head.' After a few minutes, he called Daniel's mother, who screamed and cried when she arrived home and saw paramedics trying to resuscitate her son, who died later in hospital. Dr Anjorin said he could not begin to describe the 'pain and anguish' the family felt at losing Daniel, who was academically gifted and enjoyed sports and music. He said: 'We will not see him get married or have children. All the normal things parents hope for their children. 'All these hopes and aspirations have been cruelly snatched away from us through the wicked actions of Marcus Monzo. 'It has been the worst nightmare experience of our lives. To have to go through the pain of losing a child in such a cruel and savage way. No family should have to go through this.' The judge, Mr Justice Bennathan, paid tribute to his 'calm and dignified manner' sitting through the trial, saying he had showed 'a composure most of us would find impossible'.
