Meet "King Evian", he is the fairest and most impressive cat in the country
The elegance, creativity, and uniqueness of the presentation sculpted a historic moment at the final stage of TV3's Cat Fashion Week when Nor Anis Halyatie and her ragdoll breed male cat, Evian, were crowned champions. They beat seven other finalists in the final episode broadcast last night, taking home the trophy and RM5,000 cash. The audience cheered as the eight 'meow-nalists,' Juny, Omey, Goyem, Chibbu, Evian, Winter, Kristoff, and Mocha, stepped onto the show stage like celebrities, creating a sight that rarely graces the world of entertainment and television screens. The finale -the event goes beyond the definition of a typical fashion show; it is a platform that unites creativity, unique stories, and the bond of affection between owners and their cats. Some owners invested up to RM5,000 for hand-sewn clothes, while there are also those who are careful to produce homemade 'props', inspired by the color of the fur and eyes of each turtledove. But while all the cats won many hearts, it was to be Evian's night. Like a king on his throne, Evian dazzled the stage with the concept of 'royalty' which reflects his true character, who is strict about punctuality, especially at meal times. Nor Anis' choice was a dark blue hue, inspired by Evian's eyes, complemented by a velvet robe decorated with gold beads, which gave an aura of nobility. "I never thought we would win," said a very happy and absolutely elated Anis, who has had Evian with her for the last two years. "At first, we were just having fun, because this is the first time I have participated in a competition like this. The concept of royalty is right for Evian's character, who is like a king. I haven't thought about the winning prize yet ... maybe I will give him his favorite boiled chicken." The runner-up spot belonged to Juny, the fluffy queen, and her owner Nur Farahin. Juny appeared in a luxurious red dress hand-sewn by her owner's husband. This couple embroiders the warmth of family love, which is translated into offerings that touch the hearts of all parties. Chibbu and her owner, Sharifah Nurulawwal, won third place by taking the audience on a 'journey' to the era of Ancient Egypt. From extravagant costumes to sparkling jeweled accessories and desert 'props', every detail is meticulously crafted. The presence of two 'maids' as Chibbu's accompanists also added a dramatic touch that elevated the performance to a classy level. Meanwhile, the special award - FELIX the cat – went to Siti Rohani's attractive feline Goyem, who travelled from Kedah for his first entry. Styling an operational mission theme complete with a cowboy hat made from songket, Goyem began his performance with a trick of emerging from a box for his opening act. Marlia Zul Amran, TV3's General Manager of Content, shared her enthusiasm for the extraordinary efforts of the participants. "All the concepts came directly from the participants themselves. They were very serious; the preparations were like those for the Anyugerah Juara Lagu (AJL) event. I'm very impressed with all the participants and their cats. This is indeed an amazing night," said Marlia. "This is a very fresh programme and it received a lot of support from the fans. We have many cat lovers in the country, and they love a show that features these wonderful pets." For the record, the judges for the event were Mohd Jeffrey, Mark Adam, Shiha Zikir, and Rizman Nordin. All four judges agreed that they had a great time with the "contestants" and hope to see more of such events. Cat Fashion Week is a TV3 reality programme that, for the first time, combines elements of cats, fashion, entertainment, and love for fur on television. The show also showcased the close bond between owner and beloved cat, while highlighting the importance of caring for and treating animals with benevolence. Full winners of the Cat Fashion Week Champion: Nor Anis Halyatie Halim with her cat Evian Second: Nur FarahinZakaria and Juny Third: Sharifah Nurulawwal Sayed Abd Rahman and Chibbu The FELIX award: Siti Rohani Abdul Hamid, together with Goyem The other finalists: Zakry Shazryl (Cat: Winter); Siti Khadijah Hassan (Mocha); Nurmayani Asmuni (Kristoff), and Nurul Izzah Ramli (Omey)
