Social media is not the real world, says Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood thinks social media is "not the real world".
The 42-year-old singer has developed an effective strategy to deal with social media trolls in recent years, with Carrie revealing that she's learned to "post and ghost" on platforms like Instagram.
Discussing her social media motto, Carrie told E! News: "I stole that from Joe Rogan. It's really important when you think about social media that you realise it's not the real world.
"It took me a long time to realise that, and a long time to be secure enough in myself to be like, 'Do I care if somebody doesn't like my hair today, or this thing I sang or how I sang it? I don't.'"
Carrie insists that she has bigger, more important things to worry about in her life.
The chart-topping star - who has sons Isaiah, ten, and Jacob, six, with husband Mike Fisher - said: "I'm 42 years old. I've got two kids I'm trying to raise to be good humans. I'm just out there doing the best I can, so if I want to post something, I'm just going to do it and leave it there."
Carrie rose to prominence after winning the fourth season of 'American Idol' in 2005. And the singer has now confessed to being "so naive" during her early years in the music business.
The 'Inside Your Heaven' hitmaker - who is now part of the 'American Idol' judging panel - said: "Being on the show when I was 22 years old, every single week was like, 'Do or die, now or never'. I felt grateful that I even got the opportunity to get to be on the show, and I still feel like that now. I do get nervous for the hopefuls.
"I do want everybody to win, but alas."
Carrie previously acknowledged that 'American Idol' has changed the course of her life.
The singer made the confession as she looked forward to returning to the show as a member of the judging panel.
In an announcement video, Carrie said: "I went from nobody knowing my name to tens of million of people watching the show.
"I'm proud of everything that I was able to accomplish on the show and I'm so proud of everything I've accomplished since."

The name Yashica may ring a bell as the Japanese camera and equipment brand that ceased production back in 2005, but after a Hong Kong-based company purchased the trademark rights a few years later and brought the business back from the brink. The 2017 launch of the Y35 DigiFilm camera combined digital technology and an analog-style design, and peopel clearly liked it, as the camera raised over $1.2 million on Kickstarter and paved the way for future models. And now you're more or less up to speed as we introduce Yashica's latest endeavour: the new FX-D camera series. Currently raising funds on Kickstarter – where it's soared well past its initial goal – the FX-D series continues a trend set forth not just by the rebooted Yashica but also brands like Fujifilm. While digital at heart, each camera in the range generates authentic film simulation photography and video. Users can alternate between various modes with ease as they replicate an assortment of analog aesthetics. A digital shooting mode is likewise available, thereby bringing owners the best of all worlds. Yashica FX-D Camera | Image: Yashica Want to capture images in black and white? There's a mode for that. Or maybe you want to shoot video in the granular style of 1970s cinema? There's a mode for that as well. There are six unique film simulation modes overall, allowing you to explore and create as you develop a personal style. Meanwhile, the camera's physical design language takes cues from pre-existing Yashica models like the FX-3, but with plenty of modern touch-ups. The FX-D series runs the gamut of modern specs across its relatively small range. At the most affordable end of the spectrum is the FX-D 100, which includes a 13MP sensor and goes out to everyday creators. A notch above that is the FX-D 300, a 50MP high-resolution camera that offers more functionality and flexibility. And if only the best model will suffice, there's the FX-D S300. It takes the professional-grade features of the FX-D 300 and throws in an OLED Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) to heed customer demand. Ultimately, you might think of Yashica's FX-D camera series as a tactile way to render analog-style effects without dealing with the headaches of traditional analog photography (film processing, etc). Call it your smartphone filters on steroids if you will, but some people still crave a more tactile experience. Will you get a relatively similar – if not far superior – experience with a quality Fujifilm camera? Perhaps, but the price point will be much higher. Here you get (arguably) comparable performance for a fraction of the price, especially when you take advantage of those early bird specials.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is keen to make a movie with Patrick Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt. The 77-year-old actor is open to the idea of a collaboration with his 31-year-old son and son-in-law - who married his daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger in 2019 - but insisted they wouldn't do so for the sake of it as the script would have to be good enough. He told E! News of the possibility: "It's one of those things that if there's a great script, then of course, we would do it. "But you can't just make up this stuff. You can't just say, 'OK, let's just put the three together in a movie and not have a great script.' " The Fubar star called on filmmakers to make the project happen. He said: "You don't have to talk about it, just do it." Arnold - who, as well as Katherine, 35, and Patrick, 31, also has Christina, 33, and Christopher, 27, with ex-wife Maria Shriver and Joseph Baena, 27, with Mildren Baena - is also open to the idea of following in his son's footsteps and starring in The White Lotus. Asked if he'd be interested in a role in the anthology series, he said: "Whenever I see something good, I am interested in it, so we will see." The former Governor of California is delighted to witness Patrick's success because his son has always been interested in acting. He said: "Patrick always had a love for show business. He has spent a lot of time on the set with me when he was a kid. He was doing his homework in my movie trailer, he was watching me shooting on stage. I think he got the desire right then and there." Meanwhile, the veteran action star is excited about the new season of Fubar, even if he finds certain physical scenes "very, very tough" these days. He teased: "The second season is a lot, a lot of great, great action, and also really funny moments. "The actual sequences are very, very tough to do, especially when you do night shoots and all that. But it's a lot of fun." While Arnold is proud of Patrick, he recently admitted he was shocked when his son stripped naked in The White Lotus. During a joint interview for Variety's 'Actors on Actors' series, he told his son: "I couldn't believe [it]. "I said to myself, 'I'm watching your show, and I'm watching your butt sticking out there.' And all of a sudden, I see the weenie. "What is going on here? This is crazy. "Then I said to myself, 'Well, Arnold, hello. You did the same thing in Conan and Terminator, so don't complain about it.' "But it was a shock to me that you were following my footsteps so closely."
