Inside world's most beautiful McDonald's that 'looks more like a museum'
People have been wowed by this incredible and unique McDonald's that looks more like a museum than a fast food chain. When we travel abroad, many of us typically try out the local cuisines and avoid food spots that we can easily get at home. But often some of our favourite big name brands offer different menus in different countries. McDonald's menus vary by location to reflect local tastes and traditions.
The biggest McDonald's restaurant is in Orlando, Florida, and there is the "poshest" chain in Long Island. In New Zealand, there is a McDonald's where food is served from an abandoned aeroplane, plus there is a floating McDonald's service in Germany.
We know how much the Italians pride themselves on good food, so of course they had to join the list with one of the most beautiful McDonald's in the world. While visit Rome, you will find a unique chain with hand-carved statues in the entranceway.
Located near the famous Spanish steps, this McDonald's has a sculpture in the entranceway that looks like it could be a rendering of the Roman goddess Venus. Further into the restaurant beyond the classic McDonald's stills, stands a separate section devoted to decadent-looking cakes, tarts, and donuts.
Fans love taking videos and pictures of the spot - and it has gone viral online, with people tourists making sure they add it to their must-do list while visiting the ancient Italian city.
TikTok account @moromatour – a page which shares Roman insights and offers tours around the city - shared a look inside the amazing eatery. The video has raked in 1.8million views and has the caption: "This McDonald's looks like a museum. Rome, Italy."
"Proud to say I have been there," commented one. One other wrote: "No matter where you are, got to try Maccies at least once, totally different menus and vibe! We were at this Maccies on Tuesday and it's actually massive, proper McCafe with pastries and coffee!"
One other who was shocked after seeing the spot, said: "I remember when I was in Rome and stumbled upon this McDonald's completely on accident"
"I was there, it's incredible," insisted one other. Some observed that due to its uniqueness this eatery can get busy fast.
In other McDonald's news, a menu shake up has been announced for later this month. Plus, a Brit has been left stunned by the menu items on offer at McDonald's in Japan following a recent visit - and he cannot believe how different it is to the UK.

At an average room rate of £70 per night, visitors will have to stump up an extra £4.90 per night. Any non-resident staying overnight in Aberdeen will have to pay the fee which is expected to bring an extra £6.8 million a year into the city. This money will then be reinvested in the city's tourism sector. Stephen Gow, chair of VisitAberdeenshire, said the city received over 2.2 million overnight visitors last year which generated £500 million. He called the new measures a "well managed scheme" that will "drive continued growth of Aberdeen's visitor economy". He added: 'The headroom for growth in the leisure and conference sectors will be fulfilled through effective investment in promotion, events, and development of the tourism sector." Who will it apply to? The tax will apply to hotels, B&Bs, self-catering accommodation, campsites and caravan parks. For specific events like arts festivals or major conferences, councils will be permitted to adjust the 7 per cent figure. But the type of accommodation subject to the tax won't be able to change. Mini tourist train crashes in Brit holiday hotspot with carriage overturned injuring 20 with four in critical condition There are exemptions, however, which include motorhomes and people receiving disability payments. Aberdeen City Council's finance and resources convener, Alex McLellan, said: "The income generated from the visitor levy, paid by those visiting the city, will provide a huge boost to our local economy and allow us to invest in bringing major events and conferences here on a more regular basis." The tax will also support large-scale events, productions and festivals through a special fund. Other tourist taxes Aberdeen is not the first Scottish city to introduce such measures but the 7 per cent rate is the highest so far. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow introduced a 5 per cent levy earlier this year which are due to come into effect in June 2026 and January 2027 respectively. McLellan added that tourists are paying similar amounts per night across Europe. "We should do the same to ensure we can compete in terms of attracting both business and leisure tourism to Aberdeen," he said. The new levies come after the Scottish Parliament introduced legislation to impose a levy on overnight accommodation. There isn't an equivalent law in England but Liverpool and Manchester, for example, have already found alternative ways to raise money in the same fashion. The new charges come as another popular UK destination imposed a tourist tax last month. Holidaymakers who take a trip to Wales will be thumped with an extra £1.30 per night after proposals were given the nod.

United Airlines flight canceled after female passenger had 'biohazard' diarrhea that destroyed bathroom
A woman has freely admitted that she caused a United Airlines flight to be canceled after spending an hour and a half destroying the plane's tiny bathroom with her diarrhea and vomit. Meghan Reinertsen, a writer and actor, said the nightmare journey happened about a year ago when she was coming home from Portugal. The first symptoms of what she would later find out was food poisoning struck her at Newark Liberty International Airport just moments before she was supposed to board her connecting flight back to Indianapolis. 'Something is brewing. Something is happening that I am not prepared to deal with,' she said in a TikTok video that has gotten nearly 20 million views. Despite her reservations, she boarded the plane and 'hoped for the best'. She spent the next 30 minutes in her window seat crying, sweating profusely and writhing in abject pain. The plane eventually took off. For much of that time, she was only staying seated because the seatbelt sign was on, but at some point, she remembered the story of the woman on a Delta plane who pooped her pants in her seat mid-flight. 'I couldn't let that happen to me,' she said. 'I make it to the bathroom, and for the next 20 minutes I have more diarrhea than any human should ever have in their life.' While she was in the bathroom, she began feeling the urge to throw up as well. She said she panicked in the tiny, claustrophobic area before she had the presence of mind to scream for help from the flight attendants, who gave her bags. The flight crew allowed her to stay in the bathroom for the entire flight. They even got special clearance from the pilot to allow her to remain where she was for landing. Reinertsen said she couldn't make it back to her seat in her condition, which prompted the flight attendant to tell her through the door to 'brace for impact'. Once they were on the ground, she was told that the next flight with that plane had been canceled. 'A flight attendant comes over and says, "Everybody's off the plane now, go ahead and take your time and come out when you can, the next flight has been cancelled,"' Reinertsen said. 'In the moment, I'm not thinking it is because of me.' The flight attendant then told her that a hazmat team would be coming to clean up her mess. 'Got it, so you canceled that flight because of you don't know if I brought something back from Portugal. And I am a biohazard. I am patient zero,' she said. She even had to be put in a wheelchair when she was ready to disembark because she couldn't walk. 'They had to wheel me off this plane. I can't walk. They gotta get me in a wheelchair,' she said. They wheeled her to baggage claim where she had to endure the shocked stares of all her fellow passengers who undoubtedly knew she was the woman in the bathroom for the entire flight. Reinertsen said her devastating illness, which persisted days after the horrific flight, came as a result of eating an undercooked hamburger the night before her flight. United Airlines confirmed to Metro that this incident happened in July 2024. 'This incident occurred in July 2024. Our flight crew is trained to assist customers in situations like this and helped as much as they could during the flight and upon arrival in Indianapolis,' a spokesperson for the airline said in a statement.

Massive shark prowls close to tourists as beach evacuated in British holiday spot
The tourist beach had to be evacuated after the shark's fin was seen sticking out of the water just a few feet from where people were bathing. A tourist beach was thrown into chaos as a 6ft 6in close to the shoreline, prompting an immediate evacuation. Holidaymakers were urged to flee the water after the creature's fin was spotted just a few feet from where people were swimming. Bystanders gathered on the sand, capturing footage of the predator on their mobile phones. One local exclaimed: "It's a huge beast." The shark was estimated to be around 2 metres in length. This comes as news breaks that the world's largest great white shark is "heading toward Nova Scotia", causing concern for tourists. Lifeguards advised beachgoers to maintain a safe distance while an emergency services boat was swiftly dispatched to the scene, reports the Mirror. The boat crew successfully guided the shark away from the shallow water, where it risked being stranded, and back out to sea. This dramatic incident occurred at La Reya Beach in Puerto de Mazarrón near Murcia, Spain, last Thursday. Every year, up to 17 million Brits flock to Spain for their summer holidays. The video clip was posted on TikTok, where it quickly went viral, amassing 940,000 views and thousands of comments, as reported by NeedToKnow. One local commented, "Between jellyfish and sharks, I've lost all desire to go to the beach." Jesus noted, "It's a blue shark and does not normally attack humans. I was swimming there in the bay, I turned around and that blue shark appeared next to me," shared Miguel. Alfred speculated, "It was probably in some kind of trouble, that's why it was swimming around." Ana added: "I'm not going to Puerto de Mazarrón anymore." Earlier in 2024, a deceased shark weighing 200kg was washed ashore in Puerto de Mazarrón. Marine specialists suggested local shark encounters might be triggered by powerful currents, confusion, wounds, or the creature hunting for prey. Throughout the Mediterranean, varieties including the blue shark and dogfish are the most frequently observed sharks. Officials recommended that people should peacefully exit the water upon spotting a shark, and promptly alert lifeguards or emergency services. This follows after a colossal 15-foot great white shark was caught on camera mere feet from a pier at a popular tourist destination. Carlos Gauna, 45, filmed the sequence on July 31 using his drone. He remarks it's uncommon to witness sharks so near to the coastline and was delighted to document the predator in its natural environment without disturbance. "I've never seen one that big in the Santa Monica area and into Malibu that close to shore," said Gauna, photographer and owner of Malibu Artists in Ventura County.
