Casualty hunk 'dating another BBC co-star' just months after 'drifting apart' from his Call The Midwife colleague who played his on-screen wife

Daily Mail5 hours ago

A Casualty hunk is reportedly dating another on-screen co-star, just months after splitting from his Call The Midwife girlfriend.
Actor Olly Rix is said to be romantically involved with Anna Chell, 28, who stars in the BBC medical drama as nurse Jodie Whyte.
Olly, 40, plays handsome clinical lead consultant Flynn Byron on Casualty and was introduced to viewers earlier this year.
A source close to Olly said he is in a 'really good place' and is enjoying his 'blossoming romance' with Anna.
They told The Sun: 'After finding himself uncomfortably thrust into the spotlight towards the end of his time on Call the Midwife, Olly's in a really good place at the moment.
'Over the last year he's quickly settled into his new role on Casualty, got a new home in Cardiff where the drama is filmed, and is enjoying a blossoming romance with Anna.
'Devotees of the drama will no doubt be analysing their scenes together to see if there are tell-tale hints of chemistry between them - assuming they haven't already spotted signs.'
MailOnline has contacted representatives for both Olly and Anna for comment.
Olly took to social media on the weekend to reveal he had been spending time with Anna as they enjoyed a masonry class together.
They could be seen engraving one another's names onto stone.
Prior to landing a role in the emergency department, Olly played Helen George's on-screen husband Matthew Aylward in Call The Midwife.
The pair later became close off-screen, though 'drifted apart' with Helen, 41, spotted on celebrity dating app Raya in September 2024.
Olly and Helen were said to be supporting each other through their respective breakups when they grew close.
It was revealed that Helen had split from her partner Jack Ashton in July 2023 after seven years together, whilst Olly separated from his girlfriend Natasha Fagri at a similar time.
In November of that year Helen was spotted leaving Olly's home just hours after he was spotted returning with two coffees
An insider said at the time: 'It's been a tricky year for both Helen and Olly. They have been spending a lot of time together on set, walking their dogs together and chatting a lot.
'They both have respect for each other as actors and they are supportive of each other and dedicated to their roles on the drama. The changes in their relationships have caused a lot of upheaval.'
However, a spokesperson for Helen hit back: 'Yes, she went to visit a friend for a cup of tea - like all friends do - and as we have always said, there is nothing more to this.'

"They're the ones who keep me going and motivate me to keep doing this."I'm really grateful for them."After the festival, she hopes to stay in London, write more songs, and perform across the country."I'm excited to see where it can go."It's not just a dream - you can make it real if you put in the effort and work hard."

Love Island fans lap up ‘evil' twist as new bombshells threaten to break up couples at sleepover

FOUR couples risk being torn apart after a huge twist in tonight's show. As the dust settled from the latest recoupling, the villa was rocked by a text out of the blue. 6 6 Helena was the one who received it and told her co-stars that a car was waiting outside the villa for her, Emily, Dejon and Remell. The Islanders were left in shock as the chosen four were whisked away to be introduced to new bombshells Poppy, Caprice, Gio and Will. Emily, who has had a tough time trying to make her relationship with Conor work, took a savage dig at the rugby lad by saying a gleeful goodbye. Meanwhile Meg and Alima, who had enjoyed close moments with their respective men - Dejon and Remell - earlier in the evening, were left racked with nerves. Meg couldn't even look up as she buried her head in her hands. The four chosen Islanders couldn't hide their excitement as they made their way to the waiting cars. And in a first look at tomorrow night's episode, the boys in particular look like cats with the cream. Dejon's face lights up when Caprice tells him "this could be lit", while Poppy gets flirty with Remell. New boy Gio, who's the brother of Arsenal ladies star Alessia Russo, immediately makes an impression on Helena, who's been reeling from her rocky romance with Harry. He beams as he tells her "the quicker I can get in there the better". Love Island fans spot the moment that 'gives away' Harrison wants Helena over Toni - did you notice But will all four become fully ledged members of the main villa? Viewers can't wait to see it play out, though aren't sure they'll like the results. One wrote on X: "So we got 5 seconds of screen time of Alima and Remel after days of nothing, Remel saying he's happy with Alima just for him to go and tell the bombshell that 'he's not occupied?' Excuse me?? Love Island is so evil for this" Another said: "Dejon just needs a pretty face and abit of attention and he crumbles." A third said: "Well this is gonna get interesting #loveislanduk." As a fourth raged: "What's the number to OFCOM???? HOW CAN THEY DO THIS TO ALIMA???" 6 6 6 6

Gareth Bale and his wife Emma Rhys-Jones enjoy a glam date night as they attend the European premiere of F1: The Movie in London

Gareth Bale and his wife Emma Rhys-Jones looked chic in black as they attended the European premiere of F1: The Movie in London on Monday. The footballer, 33, looked handsome in a black two-piece suit which he layered with a crisp white shirt. The Welshman, who recently announced his retirement from professional football, looked in happy spirits as he appeared on the red carpet alongside his stunning wife. Emma sent pulses racing as she stepped out in a plunging black lace floor-length dress which pooled on to the floor. Her stunning garment was finished with a choker design around the neck and a sheer skirt. To accessorise, the brunette beauty finished her look with a black leather clutch and chunky gold hoops. F1: The Movie was made in collaboration with Formula One's governing body, the FIA, and one of the producers is seven-times world champion Lewis Hamilton. Brad Pitt plays the lead role of troubled race car driver Sonny Hayes in the new release. His character is pitted against rookie and rival Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris) as they battle it out at various Grand Prix's around the world. While the reviews for F1: The Movie aren't quite all in yet, social media reactions from several critics began flooding in on X this week. Many praised Brad and Damson's onscreen chemistry, as well the movie's overall look thanks to director Joseph Kosinski, who last worked on Top Gun: Maverick. With some even branding F1 the 'Top Gun for racing fans' - three years after the Tom Cruise aviator movie made an eye-popping $1.496 billion worldwide. Other stars in attendance for the premiere included singer Raye, who embraced summer with a figure-hugging floral dress that featured a plunging neckline. Shape Of You singer Ed Sheeran also turned out, wearing a cool white T-shirt and lilac suit combo. Commenting on F1: The Movie, iOne Digital's Bernard Smalls said: 'Buckle up #F1TheMovie is an high octane thrill ride. It's one of those films that you go to the movies for. Brad Pitt and Damson Idris are both dynamic. This is top gun for F1 racing fans. Truly a racing movie for a new generation'. While Rotten Tomatoes' Erik David wrote: 'Joseph Kosinski's #F1TheMovie hits the gas and doesn't stop. The races are epic, the sound design, editing, cinematography, performances and music are all top notch'.
