#SHOWBIZ: Ikmal Amry: I'd love to be more active in combat sports

KUALA LUMPUR: Game Of Life actor Ikmal Amry has expressed his desire to be more active in combat sports following his recent victory over co-star and close friend, Hun Haqeem, at the Fury Championship.
In a report yesterday by Berita Harian, Ikmal said, "I love combat sports, and while I don't want to be a full-time competitor, I want to participate in events like the Fury Championship more often."
When questioned about his match with Hun, Ikmal admitted he initially felt awkward "battling" his close friend.
"I was a little worried I might leave him badly battered and bruised. However, he encouraged me to go all out and fight him in the arena," he shared.
"Both of us spent three months preparing, and on the big day, we fought each other to the fullest."
He added that both actors sustained "bearable" injuries.
Ikmal also mentioned that his wife fully supports his involvement in combat sports.
"She's giving me her fullest support, provided I take all precautions to avoid serious injury."

#SHOWBIZ: Ruhainies claims income of up to RM100k per month

KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Ruhainies, 33, has captured attention after claiming her monthly income as an artiste can reach up to RM100,000. The claim was made during a recent interview, where she openly discussed her earnings, drawing various reactions from netizens. In a Berita Harian report today, Ruhainies, whose full name is Nur Ruhainies Farehah Zainul Ilyas, said that throughout her nearly decade-long career in the entertainment industry, she has successfully built multiple income streams. These include acting, brand ambassadorships, affiliate marketing, and various brand collaborations. "My income is around RM50,000 to RM100,000 a month," she said. "On Instagram, I have 1.7 million followers, while on TikTok I have over 700,000 followers." When commenting on her lifestyle, the star of the TV series Sayang Tak Dikenang emphasised that she prioritises quality over price. "With such a high income, I spend a lot on personal care, living expenses, and operating costs, which are quite high," she said. "When selecting products, I focus more on quality. If a product is suitable, of course, I will buy it." A subsequent review found that the original interview video had been taken down. However, it was subsequently re-uploaded on social media by another user.

From ‘Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu' to more serious roles

ACTOR Sabri Yunus, who is best known for the sitcom Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu decades ago, has decided to step away from comedy roles, Berita Harian reported. Sabri, 64, said he made the decision after considering the changing trends of fans, but stressed that this does not mean that he wants to get rid of his 'comedy DNA'. He said the change was necessary as he needs to move on to more serious roles. 'For me, comedy roles are not something you can continue forever. 'Comedy is seasonal and, at a certain point, it may no longer be appropriate for people to watch. 'If you play a serious role, it might be 'evergreen'. Comedy is for the young; when you're older, it feels awkward. 'Times have changed. I believe comedy should evolve. 'Those who play comedic roles should transition to other roles,' Sabri said at a press conference and premiere of his new film Denu. > A pair of pythons left behind 67 hatchlings after the reptiles were discovered by a cattle farmer in a village in Kuala Krai, Kelantan, Sinar Harian reported. Guchil volunteer firefighters chief of operations Mohd Hamdan Mahadi said the man encountered the snake measuring 7.3m in length and weighing about 200kg. Mohd Hamdan said that upon arriving at the scene, they found a nest with 67 python eggs. 'All of them had hatched. But seven of the baby pythons escaped into nearby bushes. 'We managed to capture 60 of the hatchlings,' he added. All the captured baby pythons, he said, will be released into their natural habitat in the forest. KUALA LUMPUR: Award-winning singer-songwriter Hael Husaini Razmi has long been an avid fan of Biduanita Negara Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, considering her his ultimate role model. In a recent interview with Berita Harian, Hael said that Siti has always set a high benchmark for him and his fellow artistes, and he constantly strives to achieve her level of excellence in music. "I always look up to the best, and Tok Ti isn't just the best at singing and entertaining; she also carries herself with the grace of a superstar," Hael said. "What I've learned from her is to push myself to be better every day, work extremely hard, always connect with my fans, maintain a wholesome image, and remain humble." Hael added that another important lesson he learned from Siti was the importance of looking after one's health. For this reason, he has ensured he is in peak condition for his upcoming concert on Saturday. "While I push myself to be better than I was yesterday, I never forget to stay fit and strong so I can give my fans my absolute best," he said. Hael is set to perform at his concert, 'Hael Husaini & Repertoire', at Zepp KL this Saturday (Aug 9). The following day, he will travel to Kota Kinabalu to perform at the Konsert Festival Tentang Cinta in the Sabah International Convention Centre.
