New Heights confirms Taylor Swift's appearance with hilarious first look
There was the glittery orange background on the New Heights post (their usual is a plain yellow), and then there was the post from Taylor Nation (Swift's official social media account) 12 minutes later that featured 12 photos, all with photos featuring orange outfits (the assumed color of Swift's 12th album). Next, there were the key Instagram likes (Swift's best friend and her recording label).
The theories around a potential appearance from Swift on the podcast expanded with hypotheses that she'd announce something on Tuesday, August 12 to keep with the theme of 12 for her next album. Her official website posting a countdown to 12:12 AM ET on the 12th added fuel to that fire.
Well, now we have confirmation that the The Tortured Poets Department singer is IN FACT this week's guest on New Heights. The social accounts for the popular podcast dropped a teaser clip late Monday night that featured Swift sitting alongside Kelce and the two sharing a sweet moment of compliments before she expressed her excitement at being on the pod.
"We're about to do a [expletive] podcast," the singer said with a smile and laugh.
Wednesday night can't come soon enough.

Travis Kelce says NFL career ‘slipped' during acting pivot: ‘Haven't been to my standard'
Travis Kelce will be the first to admit the last two NFL seasons have not been his finest. During a wide-ranging GQ interview about his career and relationship with Taylor Swift, the three-time Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs expressed how the 'past two years haven't been to [his] standard' as he dabbled in entertainment endeavors off the field. 'I think it might have slipped a little bit because I did have a little bit more focus in trying to set myself up. And opportunities came up where I was excited to venture into a new world of acting and being an entertainer,' Kelce, 35, said in the September issue of the publication. Although Kelce showed he had plenty left in the tank in January, when the Chiefs punched their ticket to a third straight Super Bowl, the defending champs were rattled by the Eagles on the NFL's biggest stage in February with a lopsided 40-22 defeat. The fallout has only fueled Kelce's fire as he prepares for his 13th season. 6 Travis Kelce during the Chiefs' preseason matchup against the Cardinals on Aug. 9, 2025. Mark J. Jon Gruden Wastes No Time Picking the Best Current NFL Quarterback
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden knows a thing or two about football, and the same about quarterbacks. The famed coach led quarterbacks such as Rich Gannon, Brad Johnson, and Derek Carr. More news: Rams' Matthew Stafford Not Spotted at Practice Amid Injury Concerns Gruden has been popular on social media in recent years, doing a lot of work with Barstool Sports. Now, he has joined a unique interview where he had to rapid fire answer questions, revealing who he believes to be the best in the history of the NFL and current players. @peightontubreofficial Rapid Questions & Fantasy Football sleepers with NFL Legend Jon Gruden!🏈 @Barstool Gruden @The Real Autograph ♬ original sound - Peighton Tubre While sitting down with Peighton Tubre, Gruden answered a ton of questions. Initially, he is asked who his favorite route runner of all time is, quickly answering Jerry Rice. It's hard to argue against that. Photo byMore news: Jets' Tyrod Taylor Will Miss Significant Time After Undergoing Surgery The second question is far more controversial, as Gruden is asked who the best quarterback in the NFL right now is. He resoundingly answered "Joe Burrow" before looking into the camera with a face that could add even more fire to his answer. There is no arguing that Burrow is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He continues to be a top 10 player in his respective position, but he is also up against two other phenoms. There are those who would argue that Buffalo Bills signal caller Josh Allen and Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson are above Burrow in the quarterback subject. Funny enough, a quarterback tier ranking from The Athletic stated that Patrick Mahomes and Burrow are tied for first place, with Josh Allen in third, and Jackson in fourth. Still, Jackson has won two MVP awards and should have arguably won his third in 2024. That honor was given to Allen instead. Burrow, on the other hand, has not yet won that prestigious award. That is not to say that Burrow is not a top quarterback in the NFL, but the trio of passers are often spoken about in the same conversation. That does include Mahomes, as well. The difference among them all is that Mahomes has also led his team to five Super Bowls in the last six years. Burrow has made one appearance, while Jackson and Allen have yet to reach the big game. Picking top players at their respective positions is subjective, but Gruden sees Burrow as the top player right now. For more on the NFL, head to Newsweek Sports.
