TXT delivers emotional storytelling and solo tracks in comeback album Star Chapter: Together

Express Tribune5 days ago
Tomorrow X Together (TXT) has returned with a powerful new album, bringing the group's message of unity and growth full circle. On Monday, the BigHit Music boy band released The Star Chapter: TOGETHER, its first full-length album in nearly two years — and the final installment in their 'Star Chapter' series.
Just hours before the release, members Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hueningkai hosted a press event at Kyung Hee University's Peace Hall in Seoul. Dressed in sleek black leather, the group discussed the deeply personal nature of the album. 'We worked really hard to make sure our colors came through this time,' said Yeonjun. 'We reflected on what 'together' means to us and tried to express that in the music.'
The lead single, 'Beautiful Strangers,' blends an emotional melody with a dynamic synth bass line — a cinematic and dramatic sound signature to TXT. Yeonjun, who also choreographed the track, shared, 'When I first heard the song, the moves came to me immediately. I submitted a concept in two days, and it was approved right away.'
The album also features solo tracks from each member, each contributing to the overarching theme of individuality within unity. Highlights include Yeonjun's brooding 'Ghost Girl' produced by YUNGBLUD, Soobin's breezy 'Sunday Driver,' Hueningkai's sultry 'Dance With You,' Beomgyu's self-produced 'Take My Half,' and Taehyun's heartfelt ballad 'Bird of Night.'
With TXT nearing its seventh debut anniversary, contract talks are underway. 'We're still in discussions,' said Soobin. 'But we're happiest together.' Hueningkai added, 'Our love for what we do hasn't changed — fans can count on us.'

Fans abuzz with excitement over news of Suga of BTS getting discharged from the military

Suga of BTS is just days away from completing his mandatory military service, and fans around the world are counting down with mounting excitement. In an official statement, BigHit Music announced, 'SUGA is nearing the end of his service as a social service worker and will soon be discharged. There will be no official event on the day of his discharge.' The rapper, producer, and songwriter has been serving in the alternative social service category since September 2023. His scheduled discharge date, June 21, has stirred global fan enthusiasm, especially as BTS moves closer to becoming a fully reunited group. With Jin and J-hope already discharged in 2023, and RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook completing their service earlier this month, Suga's return marks the final chapter of the group's military hiatus. The buzz around BTS's reunion has taken over social media, with hashtags trending across platforms and fan communities planning celebratory messages and digital events in anticipation. Although BigHit has confirmed there will be no public event to mark Suga's return, the emotional significance of his homecoming is not lost on fans. Many see this moment as the beginning of a new era for the band, whose collective return promises a resurgence of music, performances, and global appearances. The seven members were recently seen sharing the space at their reunion at FESTA, an annual celebration of the anniversary of the group's formation on June 13 and 14.

K-pop boyband TXT excited for Europe tour

Popular K-pop group Tomorrow X Together, also known as TXT, is making its European tour debut feeling inspired and more connected after two months away from the spotlight, its members said. The boy group's label, Big Hit Music, which also manages K-pop superstars BTS, announced in January that TXT would be taking a "long-term break" to rest and spend time with their families. This was after group leader Soobin said he was taking time off for health reasons. "It was the first time we took such a long break. It gave us time to reflect on many things," member Hueningkai said in an interview shortly before taking to the stage at London's O2 Arena for the group's first UK performance on Tuesday. "I think it actually brought us closer together and allowed us to think more about ourselves as a team and artists," added Hueningkai, whose hiatus highlights included a family trip to South Korea's resort island of Jeju, good food and a visit to Japan with friends. Six years on, they have won over a loyal fanbase, known as "MOA", short for "Moments Of Alwaysness", with their pop rock sound and hits including Blue Hour, Sugar Rush Ride and 0X1=LOVESONG (You Know I love You), featuring South Korean singer Seori. Their album Minisode 3: Tomorrow ranked as the 10th best-selling album of 2024 globally, according to recorded music industry body IFPI, which also placed TXT seventh on its Top 10 list of global recording artists of 2023. The European tour, which kicked off in Barcelona, Spain, on March 20, also takes the fivesome to Berlin, Paris and Amsterdam. Fans are in for a spectacle, the members said. "It's a really colourful and diverse set list, so I think it will be really fun for the fans. There are solo stages that we haven't shown before," Hueningkai said. Reuters
