Pac-12 announces TV deal with The CW, CBS and ESPN for 2025
SAN RAMON, Calif. — The Pac-12 announced a television deal for the 2025 football season that will put all of the home games for Washington State and Oregon State on The CW Network, CBS or ESPN.
The conference announced the deal on Tuesday, saying that the The CW will air nine of the games, with CBS and ESPN getting two games each.
This is the final season with just Washington State and Oregon State in the Pac-12. The conference is expanding in 2026 to add Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Utah State and San Diego State for all sports and Gonzaga for everything except football. The Pac-12 still needs to add at least one more football school for 2026.
The conference is working on a long-term TV deal to start in 2026.
ESPN will air Oregon State's home games against California on Aug. 30 and Houston on Sept. 26. CBS will show the Apple Cup between Washington State and Washington on Sept. 20 and the first matchup between Oregon State and Washington State on Nov. 1. The remainder will be on The CW.
In the first year with just two teams in the conference, the Pac-12 aired 11 of its home football games on The CW, with the other two on Fox. The games on The CW averaged 431,000 viewers, with the two on Fox getting an average of 1.99 million, according to the Pac-12.

Broncos roster: WR Troy Franklin (No. 11) looks to have bounce-back season Broncos Wire's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at second-year wide receiver Troy Franklin, No. 11. Before the Broncos: Franklin (6-2, 170 pounds) was a three-year player at the University of Oregon from 2021-23. In Franklin's freshman year as a Duck (2021), he didn't exactly have eye-catching numbers: only 18 catches for 209 yards and two touchdowns. In 2022, Franklin benefited from a change at quarterback when he had then-Auburn transfer Bo Nix come in to Eugene. Franklin's production jumped drastically to 61 catches for 891 yards and nine touchdowns, which led the Pac-12 in 13 games. Franklin's best year as a receiver was by far and away the 2023 campaign. Franklin caught 81 passes for 1,383 yards and another Pac-12 leading season with 14 touchdowns. Franklin averaged 106.4 yards per game in 2023, and was Nix's No. 1 target on offense. Prior to the 2024 NFL draft, the Broncos came to scout Nix, and Franklin ran routes during their throwing session. Coaches liked what they saw, and they selected both players: Nix 12th overall in the first round, and Franklin with the 121st overall pick (fourth round). Broncos tenure: Franklin had an up-and-down rookie season in Denver, starting six games, playing in 16 of 18 games (including the playoffs) in 2024. Franklin generated the fourth-most targets (53) on the Broncos, but only had the sixth-most receptions (28) for 268 yards and two touchdowns. Franklin did play a big part in the Broncos' wild card playoff loss to the Buffalo Bills, catching the opening drive touchdown from Nix to put Denver up 7-0. That would be Denver's only score during the game. Chances to make the 53-man roster: Likely. While head coach Sean Payton liked what he saw in the pre-draft process with Franklin, there has been some fan speculation on Franklin's future with the Broncos, and how long he would last after a lackluster 2024 campaign. Franklin did show flashes of potential in his rookie year, but he has to make his presence known in training camp to not be overshadowed by the likes of Devaughn Vele or 2025 draftee Pat Bryant. Deion Sanders has dealt with a myriad of health issues during his lengthy football career - and even more so in his post-NFL career. Blood clots led Sanders to have two of his toes amputated and led to the removal of the sides of his left calf. He battled the issue for two years and underwent 16 different surgeries while missing several media events, like the Pac-12 media days, in 2023. 'Could you imagine winning in life – I mean flat-out dominating life – and then you get hit, you get blindsided with news that you never would've fathomed: that you got to have surgery immediately. Then guess what? They tell you first, we're going to have to amputate toes. Oh, or your foot, from the knee down. Now your whole leg, or your life," Sanders said at the time. Fast forward to June 9, 2025 and Sanders appears to be in the middle of another health battle. According to a report from the USA Today, Sanders has been joined by athletic trainer Lauren Askevold in Texas as he deals with a "health issue" that has started "raising questions" in Colorado. Sanders has reportedly been at his estate in Texas while dealing with the unspecified issue as summer camps for the Buffaloes got underway last week. He previously appeared at the camps in 2023 and 2024, which only heightens his absence so far this year. On June 8, Sanders' eldest son, Deion Sanders Jr., said on a YouTube livestream that his father is "feeling well." 'He'll tell y'all soon enough what he going through, what he went through,' Sanders said. 'When we get back in Boulder, I don't know. I'm waiting until my dad leaves. When he leaves, then I'll go. Until then, I'm gonna sit here with him.' Earlier in the day the NFL Hall of Famer canceled a speaking engagement in Florida because of an "unavoidable last-minute scheduling change," according to The Foundation for Sickle Cell Research. Sanders appears to have been battling a health issue dating back to at least May when he met with former NFL star Asante Samuel on a podcast. 'I hope you're feeling better,' Samuel said to Sanders before asking him if he ever tried fasting. College World Series: 8 teams clinch berths to Omaha, including Arkansas, which ousted defending champion Tennessee
Six teams advanced to the 2025 Men's College World Series with wins in Super Regional play Sunday, while another fended off elimination and forced a Game 3 on Monday. Arizona defeated North Carolina in a decisive Game 3 in their best-of-3 series, while Louisville did the same in its Game 3 victory against Miami. LSU was the last team to clinch a trip to Omaha on Sunday, winning its series 2-0 against West Virginia. Murray State ran away in its Game 2 matchup vs. Duke to force a decisive game on Monday, which the Racers won to earn the first MCWS berth in school history. After losing Saturday's opener 4-3, Tennessee fell apart with its season and a return trip to Omaha at stake. Arkansas opened a 7-1 lead with a five-run fourth inning. Logan Maxwell hit a grand slam off AJ Russell, the Vols' third pitcher of the inning. The Razorbacks loaded the bases on singles by Cam Kozeal and Reese Robinett, followed by an intentional walk to Charles Davalan to set up a force play. But Tennessee pitcher Liam Doyle allowed a run to score on a wild pitch, and Brayden Krenzel hit Wehiwa Aloy with a pitch to load the bases for Maxwell's big blow. UCLA finished a sweep of UTSA in Los Angeles with a 7-0 win. RBI singles by Toussaint Bythewood in the fourth inning and Roch Cholowsky in the fifth gave the Bruins a 2-0 lead. The Bruins didn't need any more offense than that but added two runs in the eighth, when AJ Salgado scored on a throwing error by Roadrunners catcher Lorenzo Morresi followed by a sacrifice fly from Phoenix Call. Arizona took a 4-3 lead with a three-run eighth inning as its first four batters reached base, helped by two throwing errors by UNC. Tommy Splaine first scored on a bunt single from Easton Breyfogle. Brendan Summerhill then walked to load the bases, and Mason White drove in two runs with a single. A three-run homer by Jackson Van De Brake gave North Carolina a 3-1 lead in the fifth inning, following consecutive singles from Carter French and Kane Kepley. Arizona starter Smith Bailey was charged with those three runs with five hits allowed, four strikeouts and three walks in six innings. Dom Decker and Will Vierling each drove in four runs, while Dan Tauken had three RBI to send the series to a decisive Game 3 on Monday. Duke took a 2-0 lead in the first inning on back-to-back homers by AJ Gracia and Ben Miller, but Murray State answered in the bottom of the frame with three runs beginning with Jonathan Hogart's leadoff home run. The teams eventually traded five-run innings, but the Racers blew the game open with a nine-run seventh. The Blue Devils' Kyle Johnson and Racers' Isaac Silva each allowed six runs as starting pitchers. Yet while Jacob Hustedde and Graham Kelham combined to give up another three runs in 3 2/3 innings of relief, Duke's bullpen could not keep Murray State's lineup from lighting up the scoreboard.
