BTS' RM takes home 4 wins for LOST and Megan Thee Stallion's Neva Play at Shark Music Video Awards
BTS leader RM has once again proven his global artistic impact. He has taken home three major accolades at the 2025 Shark Music Video Awards for his solo music video LOST! The event, held on May 22 in London, honored the South Korean artist with wins in the Best Music Video, Best R&B/Soul Video, and Best Direction categories.
LOST! is a track from RM 's second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person. It stood out for its unconventional storytelling and unique visual presentation. The music video, directed with a keen artistic eye, portrays RM wandering through an intricately crafted world: a symbolic maze reflecting feelings of confusion, introspection, and isolation.
Surreal elements such as exaggerated proportions, whimsical sets, and nonlinear narrative progression created a dreamlike experience. It resonated with both fans and critics.
In addition to his individual success, RM was also part of another winning project at the ceremony. The animated music video for Neva Play received the Best Animation award. This is a collaboration between American rapper Megan Thee Stallion and RM. The video blended cutting-edge animation with dynamic musical elements. It showcases RM's versatility and global appeal beyond his own discography.
Meanwhile, this isn't the first time LOST! has attracted international recognition. The video previously earned four distinctions at Germany's Ciclope Festival, including a nod for its direction. It has also received nominations and awards from prominent institutions such as the UK Music Video Awards and the British Arrows Awards. This affirms its impact within the global creative community.
The Shark Music Video Awards, now in their 63rd year, celebrate innovation and excellence across various forms of visual media. It includes music videos, advertisements, and design. Known for highlighting artists and creatives who challenge traditional formats, the awards have become a benchmark for visual storytelling in the entertainment industry.
RM's triple win marks a major milestone. It reinforces his position not only as a musical force but also as a visionary in the realm of visual art. These multiple wins reflect not only the artistic maturity of his solo work but also the growing influence of Korean artists on the international stage.

BTS' RM & V's comeback: Jin crashes their first live post-military discharge, J-Hope gives inside glimpse of celebrations at HYBE — watch
BTS is back! In case you missed it, two of the group's members, RM and V, were officially discharged from their mandatory military service today (June 10). K-pop fans, especially ARMYs, have been lighting up Twitter (now X) with celebration posts ever since the news broke. Soon after greeting the press, RM and V went live on the South Korean fan platform Weverse to connect with fans. In classic BTS fashion, their live was hilariously crashed by Jin, while J-Hope shared an Instagram Story offering a sneak peek at the joyful celebration inside HYBE. RM and V hold a Weverse live after military discharge Keeping with K-pop tradition, RM and V went live on Weverse shortly after reaching HYBE — their first livestream in over 1.5 years. The two looked relaxed but admitted it felt a little awkward jumping back in. 🐯: We are also doing this live after 1.5 years so there is something ARMYs should understand.. we don't know what to talk about🐨 : Ah really? Because you have turned into a murderous weapon?🐯 No, not that. 'We don't know what to talk about,' Taehyung laughed, before adding, 'I worked out six times a week to get healthier. I'm proud of myself — it all feels worth it.' He joked about being too sleepy to dance today, explaining he woke up early to reduce swelling before the live. 'I'll think about dancing after some sleep,' he added. RM teased, 'The military really changed you,' to which V responded, 'Yes, I've transformed into a murderous weapon,' prompting laughs. RM quipped, 'That'll last about a month,' and V agreed, 'Yeah, I'll go back to normal eventually.' Taehyung also revealed that his MBTI had changed and that he's become less tolerant of injustice lately. Meanwhile, RM got candid about his creative slump. 'This is the first time I didn't write any music for such a long period,' he shared. He promised ARMYs he'd return later that night to talk more deeply. Jin crashes RM and V's live In true Kim Seokjin fashion, the eldest BTS member crashed RM and V's livestream — and he didn't come empty-handed. Jin showed up with a big smile and a ribbon tied around his head, joking that he was the 'gift.' He couldn't help but compliment RM and V on their physiques, playfully adding that he'd avoid picking any fights with them now. THE KIM LINE REUNITED 🐹: Wow your bodies are in great shape . Won't I get hit if I fight with you?🐻: You will lose for sure🐹: I think that too🐻: Hyung, trust me I have been to really scary places (in military) 🐹: Well then, let's live peacefully together J-Hope shares glimpse of HYBE staff's celebrations Meanwhile, in another heartwarming moment, J-Hope, who was the second BTS member to complete his military service after Jin, gave fans a peek into the celebration at HYBE. In an Instagram Story filled with his signature laughter, Hobi filmed the staff warmly welcoming RM and V. The two stood in the centre of a cheering circle, receiving flowers and smiles from everyone around them. hobi on IG The staffs welcoming taehyung and namjoon 🥹🫶 While it was nothing short of a festival in the ARMY world today, tomorrow is expected to be an even more wholesome day with Jimin and Jungkook's discharge from the military.
