Bahrain promotes ‘peaceful coexistence and dialogue'
This was reaffirmed by His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee, as the Kingdom joins the word community in marking the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations.
Dr. Al Zayani praised the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their continued efforts in positioning Bahrain as a leading model for tolerance and cultural harmony.
The Foreign Minister emphasised that Bahrain's foreign policy is deeply rooted in the values of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and dialogue among cultures and civilisations — principles that reflect the Kingdom's human and cultural heritage and are fundamental to achieving peace, justice, and the protection of human rights.
He highlighted the Kingdom's active role within the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and its balanced diplomacy, which advocates resolving conflicts through dialogue, rejecting extremism, and supporting initiatives that contribute to international stability, justice, and sustainable development.
Dr. Al Zayani also commended key national initiatives aligned with these principles, including the launch of the 'Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration' on Freedom of Religion and Belief, and the work of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, which provides educational and cultural programs to empower youth as ambassadors of peace.

At Geneva Conference, Bahrain Renews Call for Two-State Solution for Palestine
Bahrain has reaffirmed the importance of dialogue and international parliamentary cooperation as a path to achieving lasting peace and justice in a world facing increasing political and humanitarian challenges. Fakhro also addressed the deepening humanitarian crises caused by armed conflicts, climate change, and widening development gaps. He stressed that history has repeatedly shown that 'lasting peace can only be achieved through honest and responsible dialogue based on shared values and mutual respect.' Highlighting Bahrain's commitment to peace and human dignity, he renewed the Kingdom's call for an international conference to resolve the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution. He condemned the ongoing suffering of Palestinians, particularly in Gaza under the current blockade, and urged the global community to ensure the establishment of a sovereign, viable Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders. Fakhro urged parliaments around the world to embrace their historic role in building a culture of peace, not just as a political slogan but as a legislative and moral responsibility that ensures social and economic justice. He called on the Inter-Parliamentary Union to continue championing just causes and acting as a voice for the world's conscience. Despite global instability, he expressed hope that international institutions, led by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, could help steer the world toward peace and prosperity. 'Hope will never fade as long as parliaments stand firm on principles and give voice to the aspirations of people,' he concluded. Bahrain's delegation to the conference included Jamal Mohamed Fakhro, MP Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, and Dr. Bassam Ismail Al-Benmahmood, a member of the Shura Council's Foreign Affairs, Defense, and National Security Committee.

Bahrain Celebrates Global Anti-Human Trafficking Day with Continued Commitments to Human Rights
Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani praised Bahrain's achievements in the fight against human trafficking and its strong commitment to protecting human rights, calling the Kingdom a leading regional and international model in this field. He highlighted that these efforts stem from the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Marking this year's World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, held under the slogan 'Human Trafficking is Organized Crime… Stop Exploitation', Dr. Al Zayani expressed pride in Bahrain's sustained progress. He noted that the country has built a robust legal and judicial system, including Law No. 1 of 2008 to Combat Human Trafficking, aligning with the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and other international standards. The minister also celebrated the international recognition Bahrain has earned for its human rights record, particularly in protecting vulnerable groups such as women and children, including against online exploitation. Initiatives have included awareness campaigns, training programs, capacity-building efforts, and the establishment of the region's first specialized prosecution office and court for human trafficking cases, as well as a support center for migrant workers. Dr. Al Zayani extended his gratitude to the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking, as well as government ministries, labor market regulators, civil society organizations, and diplomatic missions, for their joint efforts in safeguarding human dignity. He reaffirmed Bahrain's ongoing commitment to strengthening its national response to human trafficking with modern legislation, flexible strategies, and a focus on justice, transparency, and fairness. These efforts, he said, reflect Bahrain's civil and rights-based identity and support the National Human Rights Plan (2022–2026), the Government Action Plan, and the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, while meeting the highest international standards.

Bahrain's Foreign Minister Joins Gulf Talks on Gaza Crisis
Bahrain's Foreign Minister, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, took part in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Coordination Meeting, held today at Kuwait's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. The meeting was chaired by Kuwait's Foreign Minister, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, who currently presides over the GCC Ministerial Council. It brought together the foreign ministers of all GCC member states, along with GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi. During the discussions, the ministers focused on strengthening joint Gulf coordination ahead of the upcoming international conference 'Implementing the Two-State Solution,' hosted by Saudi Arabia and France at the UN headquarters. The meeting also reviewed ongoing regional and international efforts to secure the release of hostages and detainees, alleviate the suffering of civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories, and achieve a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
