Bret 'The Hitman' Hart Is Upset With WWE Over SummerSlam Incident

WWE Hall of Famer Bret "The Hitman" Hart has once again voiced his frustration with WWE. In a new fan convention appearance, Hart claimed the company invited him to SummerSlam earlier this month but then failed to provide him with a seat at the event.
The three-time Hall of Famer stated that the incident made him feel that WWE does not fully appreciate his contributions to the business. The comments were made during a recent appearance at the Vaughan Comic Con.
Bret Hart: "They Didn't Have Any Seats For Me"
Hart explained that he was invited by WWE to be in the crowd for the massive two-night event at MetLife Stadium. However, when he arrived, he was told that there were no seats available for him.
"This year, WWE told me that they wanted me to be in the crowd (at SummerSlam)," Hart said. "Then they told me once I got there that they didn't have any seats for me."
He then made a pointed reference to another Hall of Famer, his longtime rival Kevin Nash. "But I noticed Kevin Nash got a seat," he added. "Maybe I finally realized that I don't think they really fully appreciate me... there's just no certain appreciation for anything I did."

Bret Hart's Complicated WWE History
Bret Hart has had a famously contentious and bitter relationship with WWE for decades. The animosity is rooted in the infamous "Montreal Screwjob" at Survivor Series in 1997, where WWE owner Vince McMahon secretly changed the finish of Hart's final match, costing him the WWE Championship on his way out of the company. That event created a deep, years-long rift and a sense of betrayal that has colored Hart's perception of the company ever since.
Even after his reconciliation with WWE and multiple Hall of Fame inductions, Hart has remained one of the company's most outspoken critics. He has recently been very critical of the in-ring style of stars like GUNTHER and the legacies of legends like Hulk Hogan.
Old WWE Rivalries Die Hard
Hart's specific mention of Kevin Nash is also rooted in a long history of real-life animosity. Hart has been publicly critical of Nash's in-ring ability and his backstage influence as a member of The Kliq for decades. Seeing his old rival seemingly get preferential treatment at a major event was a clear point of frustration for "The Hitman."
Despite his feelings of being unappreciated, Hart was just inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for a third time this past April, as his WrestleMania 13 match with Steve Austin was given a special "Immortal Moment" induction.

Toddler Holds Tiny Kitten for First Time, Mom Not Ready for What She Says
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. For parents, capturing a child's "firsts" is a treasured memory. And one mom's impromptu video of her daughter meeting a kitten for the first time has become a viral sensation. Leah Fry, 29, was not ready for the adorable and loving words her toddler, Selah, would say in a moment that beautifully captured the child's deep and innocent affection. Since her Instagram reel of the moment was posted, it has received over 108,000 likes. The clip shows Fry's daughter Selah, a 1-year-old, holding a tiny black-and-white kitten with a look of pure wonder and delight. The young cat belongs to Selah's grandparents, Fry said, whom she calls "Papa and Ma Chickie." The family often visits to play with the kittens—and this particular day marked Selah's first time petting one. From left: Leah Fry's Instagram reel shows her daughter, Selah, meeting a kitten for the first time. @leah__darlene/Instagram A Nurturing Nature Fry, who said she is always trying to "capture sweet moments of Selah," had a feeling this moment would be special. "I just happened to pull my phone out to record because it would be her first time petting a kitten and I knew she would love it," Fry said. "I was right, because she was absolutely overwhelmed with delight and fell in love." As Selah held the tiny kitten, she was overcome with affection and began to speak to it in her own special way. "She kept saying, 'My baby … meow meow,' as if she was trying to communicate how much she loved it and how adorable she thought it was," Fry said. The video ended with a cute toddler request as Selah tried to get the kitten to meow—a detail that highlights the innocence of the moment. Selah's love for the kitten is part of a larger passion for animals. "Selah has been obsessed with animals since Day One," she said. "Anything with fur is her friend." In addition to the kittens, Selah loves the family's horses and her pony, which she "wants to sit on and brush everyday." "She loves them all, and takes taking care of her animals very seriously," Fry added. A Future Animal Lover The viral clip is a beautiful testament to a child's natural and unconditional love for furry friends. After the sweet moment was captured on camera, Selah "just wanted to sit and hold the kitten, pet her and look at her like she was her own little baby," Fry said. The video of Selah and her "baby meow meow" has resonated with thousands as a heartwarming glimpse into a child's world—and a testament to the fact that Selah is, without a doubt, a future animal lover.
