Justin Timberlake has been diagnosed with 'debilitating' Lyme disease.
The singer made the health admission in a lengthy Instagram statement today while reflecting on his Forget Tomorrow tour, which wrapped in Turkey this week.
'I've been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease -— which I don't say so you feel bad for me –– but to shed some light on what I've been up against behind the scenes,' the 44-year-old told his followers.
Timberlake noted that Lyme disease, which is a bacterial infection spread by ticks, 'can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.'

Being diagnosed helped the 'shocked' Grammy winner understand 'why [he] would be onstage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or, just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness.'
He continued, 'I was faced with a personal decision. Stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out.'
The former *NSYNC member ultimately decided, 'The joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling.'
He is 'so glad [he] kept going' to prove his 'mental tenacity' and share 'special moments' with fans.

Timberlake acknowledged elsewhere in his caption that he chose to be 'transparent about [his] struggles' so they would not be 'misinterpreted.'
The singer, notably, has been blasted for lacklustre performances since kicking off his tour in April 2024.
In one viral video shared via TikTok last week, Timberlake strolled around the stage and engaged in occasional dance moves, rarely bringing the microphone to his mouth.
'Go on girl, give us nothing,' one social media user wrote of the compilation.
The star has copped some negativity in recent times over his 'lacklustre' concert performances.

One fan complained, 'I get that you have a lot of concerts and are touring the world, or whatever, but you cannot be singing less than a quarter of a song.'
Additionally, Timberlake made headlines earlier this month when he was caught on camera screaming at crew members over an issue-riddled performance in England.
The songwriter's wife, Jessica Biel, showed her support for her partner by reposting his health news to her own Story.
The couple have been married since 2012 and share two sons: Silas, 10, and Phineas, 5.

‘Aggressively provocative': Test screener for Margot Robbie's ‘Wuthering Heights' film gets mixed reviews

Don't miss out on the headlines from Upcoming Movies. Followed categories will be added to My News. Wuthering Heights devotees are in for a rude shock, it seems. The beloved 1800s novel written by Emily Brontë is yet again being adapted for the screen, with Australian actress Margot Robbie and fellow Aussie Jacob Elordi in the lead roles of Catherine and Heathcliff. Directed by Saltburn filmmaker Emerald Fennell, the upcoming feature film has already copped significant controversy after photos emerged from the set earlier this year, with many taking issue with Robbie's age, her costume and styling, and even with her face looking too 'modern' for a story set in the late 1700s. Now, a test screener hosted in Dallas, Texas, is said to have generated a deeply mixed reaction among viewers, described as 'aggressively provocative' and 'tonally abrasive'. Picture: BACKGRID According to movie website World of Reel, 'There's hypersexualised imagery — far more explicit than any previous adaptation of this material.' The outlet further claims, 'The film opens with a public [redacted] that quickly descends into grotesque absurdity, as the condemned man ejaculates mid-execution, sending the onlooking crowd into a kind of orgiastic frenzy. A nun even fondles the corpse's visible erection. 'Later, a woman is strapped into a horse's reins for a BDSM-tinged encounter. There are several masturbation scenes shot in that now-signature Fennell style — intimate, clinical, and purposefully discomforting.' The publication cites an attendee saying Robbie and Elordi have 'great chemistry', but described the characters as 'unlikeable'. Australian actor Jacob Elordi plays Heathcliff in the film. Picture:It's not usual for reviews to emerge from highly-confidential test screenings, which are traditionally held by production companies to gauge audience reaction prior to the film's completion and ultimate release. Production on Wuthering Heights, which took place in the UK, officially wrapped in April. And a warning, some story spoilers below. The book – considered one of the most famous pieces literature ever written – follows the doomed romance between Catherine and Heathcliff, whose passionate love story is marred by societal constraints. At 35, the Queensland-born star is some 16 years older than Catherine. While it's certainly not uncommon for mature actors to portray younger characters, much of the tragedy of the novel lies in the premature nature of Catherine's death during childbirth, as Heathcliff lives on tormented to have lost her before they have a chance to be together. Others also felt Robbie didn't quite capture a 17th-century woman, with one critic claiming she looks 'straight out of Sephora'. Previous adaptations saw actress Merle Oberon, then in her late twenties, star alongside Laurence Olivier in a 1939 movie, as well as Juliette Binoche, also in her twenties, alongside Ralph Fiennes in the 1992 version. Actress Kaya Scodelario was 19 when she played Cathy in a 2011 film adaptation, alongside James Howson as Heathcliff. With a flurry of adaptations having already been made, it's perhaps unsurprising Fennell is looking to infuse some shock factor. Warner Bros is distributing the film, with a planned February 2026 cinema release. New book exposes truth behind Depp-Heard Hollywood romance

Don't miss out on the headlines from Hook Ups & Break Ups. Followed categories will be added to My News. It's been almost a decade since Amber Heard first filed for divorce from Johnny Depp, in what became one of the most talked-about breakups in Hollywood history. In the bitter disputes that followed, each accused the other of violence and addiction issues, and startling stories emerged about Depp severing his own finger to scrawl messages on a mirror with the bloodied tip. Heard, meanwhile, was accused of relieving herself in the marital bed (she blamed their dogs, teacup Yorkshire terriers Pistol and Boo). It was genuinely shocking stuff. And journalists Kelly Loudenberg and Makiko Wholey were in the box seat to witness every sad and sordid detail, which they now unpick in their HarperCollins book Hollywood Vampires: Johnny Depp, Amber Heard And The Celebrity Exploitation Machine. Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's doomed marriage became one of the most talked about Hollywood romances in recent memory. Picture: Steve Helber/AFP In an interview with Fox News Digital, Loudenberg said she hoped the book would remind readers that there was genuine love between the couple before the divorce became a media circus. 'We tried to write that into the story,' she said. 'We feel that there was a love they had for each other. There was a special connection to each other, which makes it all the more tragic and sad.' Her co-author, Wholey, also weighed in, saying, 'It's probably why it exploded so much. It did seem like they really were in love with each other for a time. 'But we brought it back to this idea of Hollywood, the machinations of Hollywood, making everything distorted for people. It's hard to find love in a hopeless place.' Certainly, theirs was a classic Hollywood love story of a famous older actor falling for his much younger co-star, when Depp, now 62, and Heard, 39, met on the set of 2011 movie The Rum Diary. They tied the knot in 2015, on Depp's private island in the Bahamas, where they enjoyed an intimate celebration of dinner, dancing and drugs with their nearest and dearest. Depp's son Jack was in the wedding party, but his actress daughter Lily-Rose refused to attend. The pair fell in love after meeting on-set in 2011. Picture:for Art of Elysium Fifteen months later, Heard filed for divorce, unleashing a deluge of mudslinging that has made Brangelina's legal stoush look like a fairytale uncoupling. Nobody came out a winner. Depp lost the first round when a UK judge found a 'great majority' of Heard's accounts could be proven on the balance of probabilities. The ruling led to the Pirates Of The Caribbean star being sacked from the Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore. The US actor then took the battle back to home soil, suing Heard for $77 million over an op-ed she wrote in The Washington Post in which she claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse. Heard sued back, with a $154 million counterclaim against Depp. It's been a decade since Heard filed for divorce from Depp after 15 months of marriage. Picture: AAP Image/Dave Hunt The American jury sided with Depp, awarding him more than $23 million in damages. He was also found to have defamed Heard via his lawyer, and ordered to pay her $3 million. The proceedings, which saw actress Ellen Barkin take the stand and Depp's private texts with Paul Bettany shared in open court, were broadcast live. So feverish was the interest that large crowds of spectators would gather outside the courthouse each day. Some even arrived hours early to wait in line for a coveted spot inside the courtroom. While giving her evidence, Heard described the toll of the attention: 'I am harassed, humiliated, threatened every single day. 'Even just walking into this courtroom, sitting here in front of the world, having the worst parts of my life, things that I've lived through, used to humiliate me. People want to kill me, and they tell me so every day.' Heard has now largely retreated from the public eye, moving to Spain to raise the three children she has since welcomed alone. By contrast, Depp is on the comeback trail. Johnny Depp Joins Alice Cooper on stage in tribute to Ozzy Osbourne Video Player is loading. Play Video This is a modal window. Beginning of dialog window. Malcolm-Jamal Warner's mother breaks silence over son's tragic death

Malcolm-Jamal Warner's mother has spoken publicly for the first time since her son's tragic death. The Cosby Show star, 54, died on 20 July after drowning during a family holiday in Costa Rica and authorities reported he was caught in a strong current while swimming on a beach in Limón. His mum Pamela Warner has now spoken about how she is dealing with his passing with a sense of peace and resilience – declaring: 'For those of you who are at a loss, pained by the suddenness of his departure, ache for his presence or just to hear his voice one more time, to see his beatific smile one more time, be comforted that he was at peace and more importantly, he did not suffer.' Pamela made her statement in a heartfelt Instagram post. Initial reports suggested malcolm's eight-year-old daughter was with him in the water where he died but was quickly pulled out. But the Judicial Investigation Agency of Costa Rica later clarified she had been ashore at the time of the tragedy. Despite efforts by bystanders and the Costa Rican Red Cross, Malcolm-Jamal was pronounced dead at the scene. No lifeguards were present, and officials noted the drowning occurred very rapidly. His official cause of death was listed as asphyxiation by submersion. In her statement, Pamela also reflected on the symbolism of water in her son's life and death, writing: 'Malcolm was birthed through water and transitioned through water. This was his time. 'His mission on earth had been completed.' She also honoured Malcolm-Jamal's legacy, saying he left 'an indelible mark on the world and on countless hearts' and that 'all who met him, however briefly, were better for the encounter.' Pamela described her son as a 'kind, loving man with a huge heart for humanity,' committed to helping others recognise their 'inner strength' and potential for transformation. She added: 'This was his latest mission and work, transformation, in order for you to be fully present in your life.' Pamela also praised Malcolm's talents as an actor, musician, teacher, coach and business partner, noting his Grammy nominations and win. She said: 'Hold close to whatever part of Malcolm's life that touched yours. 'In keeping it near, you keep his spirit alive – nourishing you with the peace, love, joy and light that embodied Malcolm-Jamal Warner.'
