While the details are still to be finalised, the estimated stations include Kanjurmarg, Vikhroli, LBS Marg, Chikoli, Shil Phata, Mahape, Ghansoli, Airoli, Turbhe, Digha, Ambernath, and Badlapur
It will be a combination of elevated, underground, and at-grade sections; underground from Kanjurmarg to Ghansoli, then elevated to Badlapur.
The cost could range between Rs 13,500-18,000 crore, according to initial estimates.

IGNOU's diploma course books released in Odia language
Last Updated: Bhubaneswar, Aug 18 (PTI) The Odia version of textbooks and course materials of Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECE), offered by IGNOU, were released here on Monday by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida and Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj. The DECE is a one-year diploma course, open to students after completion of Class 12. The programme primarily focuses on early childhood education, child health and nutrition, an official said. Speaking on the occasion, Parida said the introduction of DECE in Odia will particularly benefit anganwadi workers and trainers, as well as pre-school educators who can pursue the course in their mother tongue. The Higher Education Department of Odisha had signed an MoU with Indira Gandhi National Open University on June 9 this year to introduce various IGNOU courses in Odia. Teen felicitated for saving 2 from drowning
1 2 Rourkela: A 14-year-old boy, who saved the lives of two youths from drowning four days back, was felicitated by NIT Rourkela Alumni Association (NITRAA) on the occasion of Independence Day. On Wednesday, around 2 pm, three youths went to Deo to take a bath. A fisherman advised them not to go into the river, but they didn't listen. As the trio went further into the river, they started drowning. Saban Bhumij, who had gone to the river after school to take a bath, saw the youths drowning. The Class VIII student, who was an expert swimmer, jumped into the river. He reached the two youths and dragged them to the shore. However, he couldn't save the third. On Thursday, the body of the third was recovered from the river. Saban bravery was lauded at different quarters resulting in NITRAA felicitating him on Friday. He was given a cash award of Rs 5,000, promised a football kit and since his parents are poor, NITRAA also assured to take care of Saban's studies till he graduates.
