🚨 BREAKING: Arsenal sign Sporting and Sweden star Viktor Gyökeres
The deal for the strilker will see Arsenal reportedly pay Sporting €63.5M up front, with a further €10m achievable in add-ons.
The Gunners have long been after a new striker and have now got their man in the form of the 27-year-old, who scored a mammoth 54 goals for Sporting last season, including 39 in the league.
Gyökeres led Sporting to consecutive league titles in his two seasons in Lisbon, scoring a total of 97 goals in 102 appearances for the club.
In a protracted transfer drama that also involved RB Leipzig ace Benjamin Šeško, Gyökeres adds his name to a growing list of reinforcements in north London this summer.
Real Sociedad's Martin Zubimendi, Brentford's Christian Nørgaard, and Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga have also arrived as the Gunners look to go one better than the last three Premier League campaigns, which have all seen them end the season as runners-up.
