Louisville's My Morning Jacket to play 3 shows in town this spring. How to get tickets
In celebration of the new collection, MMJ is headed out on a wide-ranging run including three April shows in Louisville.
For more than 25 years, My Morning Jacket vocalist/guitarist Jim James, bassist Tom Blankenship, guitarist Carl Broemel, drummer Patrick Hallahan and keyboardist Bo Koster have remained a band committed to a belief that music is a conduit for revelation of all kinds.
The new album arrives as My Morning Jacket celebrates the 20th anniversary of its 2005 landmark album "Z," a collection named by Rolling Stone among 'The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.'
'One of the cool things about being around this long is that we're not afraid to scrap something if we don't absolutely love it,' James said. "It feels really great to have a collection of songs we all love this much, and to know that we worked as hard as we possibly could on them. Hopefully, those songs will be helpful to people and give them some kind of peace as they try to deal with the insanity of the world — because that's what music does for me, and doing the same for others is always my greatest dream come true.'
"Is" makes My Morning Jacket's 10th studio album and first full-length new collection in more than three years. Produced by three time Grammy Award winner Brendan O'Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam), the album is heralded by the lead single, 'Time Waited,' available now. The new album will be available starting March 21 with pre-orders available including limited edition vinyl, CD, and digital download.
'Up until now, I've never been able to let go and allow someone else to steer the ship,' James said. 'It almost felt like an out-of-body experience to step back and give control over to someone who's far more accomplished and made so many more records than us, but in the end, I was able to enjoy the process maybe more than I ever have before.'
My Morning Jacket's "is" tour gets underway April 1 at Chattanooga, Tennessee's Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Auditorium and continues into early May. Highlights include a special three-night homecoming run at the Louisville Palace on April 25-27.
Here's what to know about MMJ's tour and release of the new album "is."
April 25: MMJ with Lacey Guthrie
April 26: MMJ with Future Killer
April 27: MMJ with The Jesse Lee's
The three concerts will take place at the historic Louisville Palace Theater, 625 S. Fourth St.

No 'real' pork chop sandwiches at the state fair? Will KY give up basketball next?
My wife and I were at the Kentucky State Fair yesterday and could not find our usual pork chop sandwich. The ones on sale are half the size of what we've always bought, and, though they are tasty, they don't satisfy our craving. Like Joseph Gerth, the first thing we look for at the fair is the real pork chop sandwich, and it's gone. Political craziness, global warming, wars, and a very hot summer would all fade in the background as we sink our teeth into a delicious pork chop sandwich from the Kentucky Pork Producers. The world as we know it is no more. What's next? The commonwealth of Kentucky turning its back on basketball? —Lowell D Katz, 40207 This article originally appeared on Louisville Courier Journal: Only pork chop sandwiches from the KY Pork Producers satisfy | Letter Solve the daily Crossword

Dunkin'® Serves Up a Fall First: The New Cereal N' Milk Latte, Plus Lineup Full of Fall Favorites Return
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This fall, Dunkin' is taking mornings back to where they began: with the clink of a spoon in a cereal bowl. Launching nationwide today, the all-new Cereal N' Milk Latte transforms that memory into a sweet, nostalgic sip, blended with cereal milk and espresso. The season gets even sweeter as two-time GRAMMY Award-winning global superstar Sabrina Carpenter is back with more Daydream Refresher flavors to turn any fall afternoon into a little escape. Dunkin's fall icons also make their comeback, with pumpkin spice back in the spotlight and the $6 Meal Deal delivering unbeatable value for great-tasting breakfast all day long. A Sip of Nostalgia: Meet the Cereal N' Milk Latte Dunkin' is serving up a latte that tastes like childhood, all grown up. The new Cereal N' Milk Latte combines espresso with cereal milk for a marshmallow-cereal flavor that's creamy, rich and unmistakably nostalgic. Building on the success of the Dunkalatte™, Dunkin' is taking its latte innovation to the next level with cereal milk made with real cereal, unlocking that unmistakable bottom-of-the-bowl sweetness. Available hot or iced, it's marshmallow cereal nostalgia made for today's busy mornings—spoon-free. 'This latte is all about nostalgia! The idea came from the best part of eating cereal, that last bit of milk. We all remember finishing a bowl just to enjoy those final, sweet sips, which inspired our new Cereal N' Milk Latte,' said Anthony Epter, vice president of menu innovation at Dunkin'. 'With our very own cereal milk blended with rich espresso, the Cereal N' Milk Latte brings that marshmallow-flavored, bottom-of-the-bowl taste in every sip. Just like the Dunkalatte, it gives the classic latte a fun new twist.' And because one good throwback deserves another, Dunkin' is dropping a limited-edition Cereal N' Milk Latte-inspired merch collection at starting today at 9 a.m. ET. Taking inspiration from the golden era of cereal culture, the exclusive drop includes a crewneck ($45), graphic tee ($30) and trucker hat ($20). The merch features a range of playful throwback designs – from cereal bowls, spoons and milk cartons to graffiti-style Cereal N' Milk branding. Each piece is available in three vibrant colors, while supplies last. Dunkin' Refreshers Just Got Dreamier After the buzz of Sabrina's Strawberry Daydream Refresher, two-time GRAMMY Award-winning global superstar Sabrina Carpenter is back to round out the lineup with Mixed Berry, joining Mango and Strawberry to create a trio of Daydream Refreshers. Crafted with oatmilk and topped with velvety cold foam, each sip is indulgent yet refreshingly light. Through the Dunkin' app, guests can create their perfect sip with the Mix Your Own Refresher option. With customizable bases (green tea, black tea, lemonade, sparkling water, water, or oatmilk), flavors, and sweetness levels – there's a drink that's as creamy, bold, bubbly or tart as they like. Plus, more fun is brewing next month, so fans can stay tuned to Dunkin's social channels for what's next. The Return of Pumpkin at Dunkin' No fall at Dunkin' is complete without pumpkin. The iconic Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte, hot or iced, is back to spice up the season, made with flavors of sweet pumpkin, vanilla and warm fall spices, then finished with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and a dusting of cinnamon sugar. Guests can also add pumpkin swirl to their favorite hot or iced coffee, Cold Brew or espresso drink. Joining the pumpkin lineup this year is the all-new Iced Pumpkin Loaf, a rich pumpkin and vanilla flavored pound cake topped with cream cheese icing. Individually wrapped for on-the-go convenience, it's an instant seasonal classic. Guests can pair their favorite pumpkin sips with the returning Pumpkin Bakery lineup, featuring the Pumpkin Cake Donut and Pumpkin MUNCHKINS® Donut Hole Treats, glazed to perfection for that unmistakable Dunkin' pumpkin fix. Savor the Season with New & Returning Favorites Beyond pumpkin, Dunkin' is rounding out the fall menu with more crave-worthy bites both sweet and savory: Kreme Delight Donut: a yeast shell filled with vanilla flavored buttercreme, topped with rich chocolate icing and finished with a vanilla flavored buttercreme rosette. Superman 2 Release Date Reportedly Revealed
The release date for may have been revealed. Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios' Superman movie was released in United States theaters in July 2025. Written and directed by James Gunn, the DCU film stars David Corenswet as the titular superhero, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Following the release of Superman, Gunn began to tease Superman 2; however, he's also said that the follow-up will be 'a little different than what one might expect.' It's not immediately clear what Gunn means by this, though David Zaslav did recently refer to the film as being 'the next movie in the Super-Family.' What is the reported Superman 2 release date? According to insider EmpireCity Box Office, Warner Bros. Pictures is looking to release Superman 2 in July 2027. More specifically, the studio is reportedly eying July 9, 2027, or July 16, 2027, as a release date. This means the DCU sequel will be filming at the same time as The Batman 2, also known as The Batman Part II, next year. This is just a rumor at this time, as neither Gunn nor anybody at DC Studios has confirmed that this is the release date for Superman 2. Gunn has said, however, that the treatment for Superman 2 is already done and that production will start sooner than fans may be expecting. He just recently told Collider, 'We're scheduling it now. I'm totally done with the treatment. My treatments are incredibly intense. They're not regular treatments. They're 60-page treatments with dialogue and everything. And so, now I'm just turning that into a script. We're planning out when we're going to shoot that. It's going to be much sooner rather than later.' Superman is now available to rent or purchase on digital outlets. The next DCU project is Peacemaker Season 2, which premieres this coming Thursday. Solve the daily Crossword
