Yousra to Star in Film "Al Set Lama"

Veteran Egyptian actress Yousra has signed on to star in the light comedy film "Al Set Lama".
Khaled Abu Ghraib directs from a script by Kiro Ayman and Mohamed Badawy.
The pic, produced by Rana and Nada El Sobky, will commence shooting in the coming weeks.
Yousra made her last appearance on the big screen in the the romance-action film '
Shaqo
' (Brothers).
The cast also includes Amr Youssef, Mohamed Mamdouh, Dina El Sherbiny, Amina Khalil, Abbas Abul-Hassan, Mohamed Gomaa, Walid Fawaz, and more.
The star-studded film is scripted by Wissam Sabri, helmed by Karim El Sobky, and produced by Ahmed El Sobky.
"Shaqo" debuted in the Eid Al-Fitr movie marathon.
Yousra, born on March 10, 1955, is an actress, a singer, a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador, and a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The iconic cinematic legend is one of the most recognizable names in the region and has been gracing the silver screen for more than 50 years.
Since the 1970s, Yousra has starred in some of the most important films in the history of Egyptian cinema, appearing in over 100 films.
Her roles in films and TV series continue to influence and inspire generations to this day.

Ahmed Hatem to Headline Film "Shagle Eial"

Yara Sameh Egyptian actor Ahmed Hatem has signed on to star in the film "Shagle Eial" from director Yahya Ismail. Principal photography is set to commence at the end of the year. Hatem made his last appearance on the big screen in the 2024 film "Ashek". The cast also includes Asma Abulyazeid, Mohsen Mohiedine, Karim Kassem, and more. It is scripted by Mahmoud Zahran and directed by Amro Salah. "Ashek" marks the second collaboration between Hatem and Abulyazeid after the 2021 star-studded film ' Qamar 14 ' (Full Moon). It also witnesses Abulyazeid's comeback to the big screen after an absence of one year. She made her last appearance in the 2023 film " El Ameel Sefr ." Hatem, born on December 25, 1987, made his acting debut in the 2006 film "Awqat Faragh". Other notable film credits include "El Kenz" (2017), "El Haram El Rabea" (2016), "Qeset Hob" (2019), "El Ghassala" (2020), "Arousty" (2021), and "Qamar 14" (2022). BTS of Mohamed Diab's ‘Asad' Starring Mohamed Ramadan

BTS of Mohamed Diab's 'Asad' Starring Mohamed Ramadan Set in the 1800s, 'Asad' tells a suspenseful, socially charged story exploring racial injustice through a blend of romance and action. The upcoming historical action-romance 'Asad', directed by Mohamed Diab and starring Mohamed Ramadan, Razane Jammal, Ali Kassem, Maged El-Kidwani, Eslam Mubarak, Ahmed Dash, and Kamel El-Basha, has completed 90% of its filming. The final scenes will be shot after Eid Al-Adha, followed by post-production, according to porducer Moussa Abu Taleb. Set in the 1800s, 'Asad' tells a suspenseful, socially charged story exploring racial injustice through a blend of romance and high-stakes action. The film features an ensemble of over 70 actors, including stars and guest appearances from Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, and Sudan. Backed by a year of intensive preparations, the film's production involved custom-built period, elaborate costumes for 2,000 extras, and large-scale action sequences led by internationally renowned stunt designer Kaloyan Vodenicharov. Produced by Moussa Abu Taleb's Good Fellas Media Production in collaboration with Big Time Fund and Scoop Egypt, Asad is written by Sherine, Mohamed, and Khaled Diab, with cinematography by Ahmad Bishary, editing by Ahmed Hafez, set design by Ahmad Fayez, costumes by Reem El-Adl, and music by Hisham Nazih. The film's release date is yet to be announced.
