Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher finalise divorce

Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have officially ended their marriage after 14 years. They finalised their divorce more than a year after announcing their split. The pair shared identical statements on Instagram on Friday. They confirmed the news and emphasising their ongoing commitment to co-parenting their three children. The couple wrote, 'Our divorce has now been finalised. We are proud of all we've achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, according Tribune. Sacha and I remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children. We ask for the media to continue to respect our children's privacy'. This respectful tone highlights their desire to keep their family matters private, a stance that will resonate with audiences who value family privacy and dignity. Sacha Baron Cohen, 53, and Isla Fisher, 49, first met in Sydney in 2001 and married in 2010. They share two daughters and a son. They announced their separation in April 2024, revealing they had filed for divorce in 2023. The couple likened their relationship to a 'long tennis match lasting over twenty years,' now finally coming to an end. The divorce settlement reportedly amounts to $75 million, which converts to roughly R 1.5 billion. This reflected the significant assets they accumulated during their time together. Despite the large sum, sources say the process has been amicable and smooth, with both parties focusing on their children's wellbeing. An insider told Page Six in February that 'all divorces have their challenges, but things have gone pretty smoothly with Isla and Sacha,' highlighting their mutual respect and dedication to parenting. In a candid interview with The Sunday Times , Fisher described the divorce as 'the most difficult thing I've been through' but also spoke about the personal growth it brought. 'I never imagined my family being separated, but we are committed and loving parents,' she said. As they move forward separately, both remain dedicated to their children's happiness and privacy. King Charles sends warm father's day message

King Charles opened up about the importance of family and reconciliation, just days after Prince Harry's emotional plea for healing within the royal family. The King who ascended the throne following Queen Elizabeth II's passing, took to social media to express his feelings. 'Family is the foundation of our lives,' he wrote. 'It is where we find strength, support, and love. On this Father's Day, I reflect on the bonds that unite us and the hope for peace and understanding.' His words resonate deeply, especially in light of recent tensions between him and his son, Prince Harry, according to GB News. Prince Harry, who now lives in California with his wife Meghan Markle and their children, recently made a public appeal for reconciliation. Prince Harry's message struck a chord globally, highlighting the human side of the royal family often hidden behind palace walls. 'I want us to come together, to heal the wounds that have kept us apart,' Harry said in an interview, which has been widely shared and discussed. The royal family's personal struggles have unfolded on the world stage. This reminded us all that even those in the highest positions face family challenges. King Charles's message also included a nod to fathers everywhere, emphasising the role they play in nurturing and guiding their children. 'Being a father is one of life's greatest privileges and responsibilities,' he said. 'It is a role that shapes not only our families but our communities and nations.' The exchange between father and son has sparked conversations about forgiveness and the power of family bonds. As Father's Day passes, the hope remains that the royal family can move forward together. King Charles's heartfelt message and Prince Harry's call for reconciliation highlight the enduring importance of family, no matter the challenges. In the words of King Charles, 'Let us cherish our loved ones and strive for understanding. For in family, we find our true strength.' This sentiment, echoing across continents, strikes a particularly warm chord in South Africa, where family is everything. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 021 1.
