Kate Beckinsale addressed her dramatic weight loss after a fan weighed in on her appearance via social media.
On Tuesday, the Underworld actress shared a since-deleted post that included several images of herself in bikinis.
'Oh sweetheart, I honestly think you have a problem!!!' one follower wrote in the comments. 'You don't look good. I think you honestly need help.'
The star responded, 'Yes I do. I'm going through one of the most deeply painful times of my life. The body keeps the score.'
Though Beckinsale, 51, did not elaborate further, she referenced Bessel van der Kolk's best-selling book on trauma, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma.

n a video clip, the actress appeared extremely slim while walking her dog in a pair of daisy dukes, black platform boots and a black bikini top.
The actress further hinted at turmoil in the caption of her post, which also included photos of her pets and lookalike daughter Lily Mo Sheen, 26.
'Girls trip with my girls,' Beckinsale wrote. 'This is not an accurate depiction of how life is right now but a brief and precious reprieve from other things for which I am extremely grateful x.'
While some fans expressed concern, one fan emphasised, 'How about we stop talking about her weight because you don't know what's going on in her life. You're beautiful and you remind me of Audrey Hepburn.'

Another remarked, 'always love and respect you, Kate. I hope everything gets better soon.'
Beckinsale previously clapped back at trolls who insisted she had lost 'too much weight.'
In a since-deleted Instagram post from January, one person wrote, 'It's not a criticism, but I think you've lost too much weight lately.'
The actress fired back, 'If it's not a criticism, it's a passive aggressive completely unnecessary opinion from someone I don't know who knows nothing about my circumstances. So next time you feel like commenting on someone's body, I suggest you keep it to your f–king self.'
Beckinsale was hospitalised with a mystery illness in March 2024, which she later revealed to be due to a hole in her oesophagus.
She got candid about her hospital stay via social media in July 2024 while clapping back at a troll commenting on her weight.
At the time, Beckinsale claimed she lost weight due to the death of her stepfather, Roy Battersby, and her mom's stage 4 cancer diagnosis.
'I lost a lot of weight from stress and grief, quite quickly,' she told a commenter.

Paul Simon's successful back surgery

Paul Simon has successfully undergone surgery for 'chronic and intense back pain'. The 83-year-old singer / songwriter was forced to cancel two concerts last weekend after his pain became 'unmanageable' and while his surgery 'went well', he will need an extra day of rest and recuperation before he starts touring again. A message on his Instagram stated: 'As previously reported, Paul Simon underwent a surgical procedure this week to alleviate severe back pain that he has been experiencing for some time. Thanks to a great team of doctors, the surgery went well, as expected. 'However, it has become clear he will need one additional day of rest and recuperation to insure he is able to perform at the top of his ability in Long Beach. Therefore, out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to move the previously scheduled show on Monday, July 7, at The Terrace Theater in Long Beach, to Tuesday, July 8. 'We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but Paul is looking forward to seeing everyone in Long Beach on Tuesday. All tickets purchased will be honored for the rescheduled date. For those unable to revise their plans, refunds are available at point of purchase (sic).' Paul previously shared his health issues on Instagram, with a message which said: 'Paul has been struggling with chronic and intense back pain. Today it became unmanageable and demands immediate attention.' Unfortunately he has been unable to reschedule the cancelled gigs. The message added: 'We have to cancel these shows at this time, as we don't have the ability to reschedule them. However, we are hopeful after this minor surgical procedure which has been scheduled in the next few days, Paul will be able to complete the tour as well as look into returning to make up these dates. 'In the meantime, please go to your point of purchase or local ticket provider for a full refund.' The star, who is currently on his A Quiet Celebration Tour, will follow his performance in Long Beach with a five-night residency at Los Angeles' Disney Hall.

'Your street cred has been spent': Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's top 10 Australian songs list divides social media

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has stirred up debate online after revealing his top 10 Australian songs of all time as part of Triple J's upcoming Hottest 100 vote. Posting to Instagram on Thursday, the 67-year-old Labor leader shared his list, which leaned heavily on classic pub rock and '90s indie anthems. "Hard to narrow down to just 10," Albanese wrote, placing The Angels' iconic track 'Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again' in the number one spot. Also featured were 'Flame Trees' by Cold Chisel at number two, 'Dogs Are The Best People' by The Fauves at three, and 'Cattle and Cane' by The Go-Betweens in fourth place. Midnight Oil's politically-charged 'Beds Are Burning' and Paul Kelly's storytelling ballad 'How to Make Gravy' also made the cut. According to Triple J, the special edition countdown, which airs on July 26, is "dedicated to the homegrown artists and tracks that have resonated across generations, and helped define our nation's sound". While some praised the PM's musical taste and joined in with their own suggestions, many others weren't impressed, particularly those angry over what they saw as a lack of attention to serious global and domestic issues. Most of the criticism came from supporters of the 'Free Palestine' movement. "Your PR team going in overdrive to try and make you seem human/ relatable… but there is NOTHING relatable to a PM who has absolutely lost touch with his humanity," one user wrote. "Seriously??? This is what gets posted??? Far out. What a disgrace," said another. "We don't care, Albo. All of your street cred has been spent #freepalestine," a third wrote, while another simply added: "Cringe. Genocide Albo." Others used the moment to comment on their desire for a Treaty between the Government and First Nations peoples. "Still no Treaty?" one follower asked, while another added: "How about Treaty by Yothu Yindi? It's time!" Still, there was support in the comments too, with users welcoming the list as a bit of fun and an insight into the PM's personal taste. "Albo mate wheres Carrion by Parkway Drive," one user joked. "Respect to Albo!" said another. "All beauties, but so many more gems missing… I can't even make a top 10!" added a third. The post even earned the attention of the artists involved. "I'm glad Albo picked Flame Trees," Cold Chisel frontman Jimmy Barnes told The Australian. "It's a great song and he's a great leader. Maybe he could lead us all into singing the chorus. Come on Anthony, let's sing!" The Angels' guitarist Rick Brewster also weighed in, saying: "It's an honour to be included with all these amazing artists." He joked about the track's famous crowd chant, "No way, Get f****d, F**k off!" suggesting Albanese may have had a hand in its origins. "How Face Again took such a sharp left turn when the well-known chant began is anyone's guess. No internet, no mobile phones… just good old Aussie bush telegraph! Maybe you started it, Anthony?" Known for his love of spinning tracks as alter ego 'DJ Albo', the Prime Minister has long expressed his passion for music. Late last year, he shared his Spotify Wrapped list of favourite 2024 tracks, all by Australian artists. That list, which saw Melbourne artist G Flip's Australia taking top spot, also sparked backlash from followers. "Is he for real?" one X user wrote in response at the time. "I'm not interested in your music selections. I'm more interested in what your selections for our country are," said another. Still, there were those who defended the post. "Come on, even the PM is allowed to have some fun," one user said.

Heartbreaking last message Liverpool's Diogo Jota sent wife

The Premier League winner and his brother both died in a car accident in Spain. Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota shared a touching message to his wife, Rute Cardoso, just days before he was tragically killed in a car accident in Spain. The heartbreaking news comes only 11 days after Jota married his childhood sweetheart in a joyful ceremony in Porto, Portugal, surrounded by their families and three children. In what now reads as a poignant final tribute, Jota responded to a post from Cardoso on Instagram, where she celebrated their wedding with the words: 'My dream came true.' The 28-year-old replied with a simple yet moving message: ' But I'm the lucky one.' Only a day ago, Cardoso posted their wedding video on Instagram with the caption: 'A day we will never forget'. The video shows the couple preparing for their big day, sharing stolen glances, and dancing the night away with friends and family. Over the footage, a voice narrates words that now carry a heartbreaking weight: 'Dear Rute, Dear is a day that will mark your lives for the rest of your days. This is the only day that you have been able to get together at the same time in the same place with your family and friends to celebrate what truly matters, which is love.' After nine years of dating, the couple got engaged in 2022 and tied the knot three years later. They share three children together – two sons and a daughter. Credit: Diogo Jota/IG / IG The Spanish civil guard confirmed that Jota and his brother Andre Silva, 25, were found dead after their Lamborghini left the road due to a tyre blowout while overtaking near the city of Zamora. It said that the accident happened in the early hours of Thursday. According to the statement, 'the car caught on fire and the two occupants were killed.' Police were investigating the causes. They said there were no other vehicles involved. Silva was a player in Portugal's second division. Winning the Premier League with his English club in May, Jota scored six goals in 26 games on the way to claiming the title. Then in June, he represented his country in the Nations league final against Spain, coming off the bench in extra time. His side won 5-3 in penalties after the match was drawn 2-2. He had represented his country 49 times. Liverpool Football Club has since released a statement expressing grief over the tragic circumstances. 'Liverpool Football Club are devastated by the tragic passing of Diogo Jota,' the club said on social media. 'The club have been informed the 28-year-old has passed away following a road traffic accident in Spain along with his brother, Andre. 'Liverpool FC will be making no further comment at this time and request the privacy of Diogo and Andre's family, friends, teammates and club staff is respected as they try to come to terms with an unimaginable loss. 'We will continue to provide them with our full support.'
